Modern Roofing

I purchased a Roof Maintenance and Inspection package through Angies List and specified 3 dates for service to be provides. I never heard from the provider. After contacting Angies List, I received a message informing me that my message(s) to them via Angies List had not been noticed. I gave Modern Roofing a second chance and scheduled service date for 7/8/2015. Becauswe of my experience with lack of communications from provider, I sent message asking for confirmation of service date. I received a message back confirming. The day came and went and provider did not show up for work. Two days later the workmen showed up, inspected the roof, and left telling me I would be contacted by Modern Roofing with an estimate. I have not received any call or communication since then. The bottom line is that I have wasted almost a month dealing with what I consider is an irresponsible, unprofessional service-provider. I would NOT recommend this company to anybody.

After a little problem with scheduling which I believe was due to the popularity of their great deal on Angie's List, the job was done with speed and a professional manner. The old gutters were removed and I am happy with the service. I would use them again.

Great service, on time and very patient with all my questions. My gutter work in the future will always go through Modern Roofing.

Arrived on time, good communication skills, neat and presentable. Gave honest assessment of hail damage, and additional work that will likely be needed in the future (new pipe collars, etc). Will use them again in future if I have roofing issues. Front office team is polite as well, easy to talk to on phone.

Andrew inspected the roof, sealed pipes which he said looked like they were deteriorating,advised us that they were ok and that everything else looked ok. He also checked the attic and stated he saw no evidence of any leaks there.

Great Customer Service when making appointment and worked around my schedule to be here quickly for this important leak repair. Very nice young man called 20 min prior to arrival. Gave a clear solution with approx. cost and quickly got to work to fix our leaks. Very reasonable! Took pictures of other potential roof concerns on my room for repair in the future. I will DEFINATELY use them again!

Cleaned all debris from first and second story gutters. Gutter drained properly after next heavy rain.

The work was originally scheduled for June 5. At 5 p.m. that day they called to say they did not complete earlier jobs in time to do mine. We rescheduled for today (July 2) and I was told that I would be "number one" on their job list. When I had not heard from them by 10:30 this morning I called and left a message. About an hour later my call was returned and I was told I had been scheduled for the afternoon, he did not know why I had been told morning, and they would be there within 2 hours. FIVE hours later they showed up. I have no complaint about the work itself. But I have lost my day off for the July 4 holiday having to stay here and wait for this company. I am not happy. I would rather pay more and have the work done on time as promised.

everything was good but i had to reach out to company several times to receive the pictures that they took along with the promised estimate.

We had used this provider before and were pleased with the service. Since this was a deal on Angie's list, we wanted to use them again. When discussing what we wanted to be done instead of what exactly the deal was for, there was a misunderstanding. Later, when the serviceman arrived, it became clear that there was a misunderstanding and no work was performed. Subsequently, we received a full refund. All that happened was done in a courteous and professional manner.

The rain complicated the project and dragged it out almost two weeks. Communication could have been better, but in the end the workmanship seems fine and the roof looks great.

I scheduled service for June 26 to repair a vent cap on the roof. I received a call from the installer saying that they didn't bring a ladder that was big enough for the home and he would give me a call in 10-15 minutes. Two hours later I tried calling him back, o answer and his voicemail was full. I tried calling Modern Roofing's main number with no success. Taking an entire day off of work with nothing to show is extremely disrespectful to a customer. I bought the $99 Angie's List Deal and will be asking for a refund.

They set an appointment via email. They said that they would be available to come and complete services the afternoon of the 24th of June. The Service Provider never showed for the appoint nor called me to cancel the appointment.

They did a nice job and cleaned up the mess.

Any questions..or concerns concerning the state of our roofs...Nick is always ready to counsel on the most effective and cost efficient to fix or maintain our investment.

Due to significant rains, they were extremely busy and it took longer than normal to get an estimate, quote, and then the work done. However, they apologized for the delay a miscommunication and provided me a discount for the trouble. They seem like a good honest company and my experience was not perfect but most likely because of all the work due to the storms. I would give them another try.

Andrew came based on schedule and I wasnt at home. He cleaned everything except in one area (closed to pool gate) that the vegetation/weed is still there.Per invoice, it should have included roof stucture inspection. Yet, when I went home I didnt find any report on roof, just the name card. I thought they would email me the report, but none. I followed up by leaving te message on Angie list on 6/12 and until now 6/20, hasnt received any response yet on roof report. I am thinking to hire a roof inspector from another company.

I emailed them to ask if they could work on a 3 story home and they emailed me right back and said they could help me and immediately scheduled the date that was convenient for both of us. They arrived early to see if the plumber has completed their work and since the plumber had not yet arrived the guys went to another job and then returned exactly when I called to have them come back They went to work very quickly and sealed the heater vents on the roof and then showed me some bad boots on my roof as well as shingles and nails. they provide a fair price to add that to the project and within an hour they were done. I was very pleased with the customer service and the excellent job the men did.

After using them for gutter cleaning, I liked them so much I hired them to install new gutters on back of house. Originally there were crappy plastic gutters that worked terribly, bending when they would get to full of water. Modern roofing recommended 6" gutters and they would match those that were on front of the house. The crew did a great job installing the new gutters and they look and work beautifully. They also did a great job of cleaning up the mess made by the old gutters. The supervisor came out to inspect the work before accepting payment. I waited awhile to write a review to give them a good test and they've performed extremely well through record May rainfalls. We are very pleased with the new gutters and very glad we got them when we did.

They worked within my rather tight schedule and did a professional service. They even hauled off a large a large branch I had on my patio left from an earlier storm without my even asking.

We are happy with the workmanship. Communication could have been better. We asked for a quote on another property that needed repairs and we never heard from them again. Based on the work they did at my house we were pleased. However, we wouldn't use them again based on the lack of communication and followup.

They were quick to respond by email and accommodated my schedule. Did a thorough job.

First of all the original appointment was scheduled during the Memorial Day flooding in Houston. They quickly rescheduled, without me calling them, and arrived on time. They cleaned the roof and gutters (covered) as well as the downspouts. Our lawn had just been done as well as the pool cleaned - they blew all of the debris off the patio and drive, leaving it clean just as they had found it. They were here about an hour. I had bids that were 2.5 times my cost with Modern Roofing - this was a great buy coupled with great service.
