It didn't go, they never contacted me about the services.

To get a better grade from me they could more responsive to calls. They were a no-show on one appointment.

Nick was very professional, prompt and honest. The crew was right on time and did everything quoted, plus did some extra caulking and flashing work. They spent most of a day going over the whole roof and making sure it was right. Really appreciate them and would certainly use them again.

Did an excellent job, on time and clean up was great. One of the old bands that attach gutter to post on back porch was removed and replaced in another area exposing the worn paint. It did not look nice so Nick came out himself and fixed it, I would use them again, in fact plan to do so soon for more gutter work and am recommending him to my daughter who just bought a new house and needs gutters on 3 sides.

James was very professional, fair and competent. His company finished on time, cleaned up and were very accommodating with warranty transfers since we were replacing the roof as a part of a sale. I particularly liked the independent quantity take off, paid for by Secure, which eliminated any question about the number of squares of roofing material required to be installed.

My experience with Modern Roofing was excellent. I contacted them and setup an appointment for Nick to come out to my home to provide an estimate for the job. Nick arrived at the scheduled time and I showed him what I wanted done. We discussed what materials would be used for the job. After all of my questions had been answered, Nick told me what the cost would be if I decided to use Modern Roofing. After I accepted the quote, a color palette was used to match the color of the gutters in the front of home. I received an email with an official estimate and a full description of what work would be done and all materials that would be needed. I provided the paint for the areas that were caulked. The workers were quick and efficient installing the gutters. They cleared all debris from the yard. Nick did the caulking and painting himself. Modern Roofing did a great job and I would definitely use them in the future.

I highly recommend Modern Roofing. They are very professional and easy to deal with. The job site was cleaned everyday and none of my landscaping was damaged.

had to make quite an effort to reach and actually schedule. month later, checked and gutters are leaking in exact same spot as before - obvious spot, right above patio door. the whole 'project' was to take care of leaks on the seems. because of how difficult it was to reach, not even attempting, as it'll cost more time and energy, plus it'll likely be a new service purchase.

It was not so great. They were supposed to be there first thing in the morning. They came at 6 o'clock at night. They were not very good on the communication with the two different crews doing it. We had to have an unanticipated second day where one of us had to take off from work. The work itself went fine. We had guards put on top. The crew that did that was phenomenal. They were amazing. The crew that installed the actual gutters were less than desirable. Up until August, we were finding screws on our pool deck. My son stepped on one and fortunately, it did not hurt him. The owner was apologetic the whole time. It just was a process I was glad to be over. I had to pay more. But they disclosed it upfront. It was because we had more than 100 feet and we just had the covers put on too. It was absolutely disclosed at the beginning as to what the actual cost would be. It ended up being $1900. They could have showed up on time and done a better cleanup. There could have been better communication with the owner. There were times where I called and I couldn't even get into a voicemail box. Once I had to call to say his crew was not at my house. The second crew who actually did the tiling on the roof did a fantastic job. They did do some extra work for us and an excellent job at an excellent price. But, I would not recommend them in future.

They wasted my time by contacted them . Never heard any thing back from them at all. No call no email nothing. Please do not do business with them. They do not care about you. They must like to do easy jobs for lots of money. They should just stay up north and rip people off. They can't even bid a job. This is a Joke of a company. Don't waste your time with these guys.

Modern roofing did an excellent job from getting a quote to the service. They were very good at getting me the paperwork I needed for the insurance company.

It was mediocre. They didn't clean up very well. They just didn't clean up after themselves.

First, they started a week later than promised on the roof. Told us it would take 1-2 days to complete. It took 2 weeks to complete the roof because they only sent two guys to replace the entire roof. I have a small house, less than 1600 sq. ft. They also parked a very ugly large wooden trailer in my driveway the entire time. I had to ask them to move it over so that I could park in my own garage! Then it took another two weeks for the guy doing the gutters to come out. This guy messed up the roof on the edges in several places, and someone had to come out and repair that. Start to finish was over a month. Definitely not what I expected from a highly rated roofer on Angie's list! Granted there were some rainy days that month, but this was ridiculous.

Superbly! Jim is just an amazing professional. He on his own added the chimney sealant (?) just to make sure my house would be "water-proof". Am so happy with his work. Totally AAAA class. He'll be coming over to do my annual roof check in 2016!

I had an okay experience with them. There were some scheduling issues, but the guy finally came by.

Actually I had issues with them a little bit. It was just like 2 tiles that needed caulking and a couple of screws but the person they sent out didn't do a good job. It took a while for them to actually send someone out yet I needed images for my insurance. I ended up having someone else re-caulk it. They sent the owner out and he did do a good job of re-caulking but he didn't do everything. He took up the work from the young guy who didn't do it right. They never responded when I was trying to tell them what was needed by my insurance. Everyone was very nice but their communication sucked. They weren't bad, they just weren't as good as they could have been. It was an awesome price, I didn't really need much done but I ended up paying someone else a 100 dollars to caulk it right and to take the pictures that I needed so I'm a little upset about that. They came out and fixed the problem but they weren't thorough to what I needed

The owner was very responsive - his crew was less so. However, the owner responded promptly to my inquiries and issues. Maybe he needs to crack the whip a bit more on his staff. On the other hand, maybe they were just very busy that month. I would use them again provided that I could deal directly with the owner.

The work was done well and the gutter looks good. However, it was difficult getting in touch with someone who would return a call. The job took much longer than anticipated.

It went great. They contacted me, came out the next day to do an expection on the situation, came back in 2 days and fixed everything. They are awesome.

They first came out to scope out the job to make sure they would have everything needed the day of the job. They explained everything well to me. There are some challenges with out back yard because we have a deck right next to the house and they came up with a solution and did a good job. completing everything. I was waiting to review until we had a few good rains. Everything has held up well. We are happy with how everything looks and functions. I would recommend this company.

I had a bad experience. He was a total rip-off. He came with no intentions to do any kind of repairs to the roof. I didn't get the proposal, they misplaced the email. I now have a proposal but I am a little weary to go with them.

I had to leave because I didn't know what time to expect them. However it looks good.

First of all, Modern Roofing did not call me within the time frame that the Big Deal stated, so I called them several days later, on a Monday. Mrs. Shirley offered no apology; scheduled an appt for Wednesday, two days from our phone call. I had submitted 3 suggested appt days/times, but she never referred to that information. So not sure why I did that. The same afternoon of our phone call, Mr. Shirley called my husband to schedule the service, again not referring to our suggested days/times, and unaware that I had already scheduled the service. My husband told him we had scheduled through his wife. On Wednesday morning of the scheduled service, my husband called with a question and was told that we were not on their schedule for that day! So, again, we scheduled the service for two days later--Friday. Today, Friday, either my husband or I made sure we were home all day for the service. By 3:45, no one had showed up, and it gets dark by 5:30. My husband called Mr. Shirley. He said he would check and see where "the guy" was who was supposed to come and clean our roof. Mr. Shirley called back in a few minutes to say he could not reach the man, but would call us when he did. No one ever called us back. We have called Angie's List for a refund. How on earth did this provider ever get A's?! And a Super Service Award?

All was great, they came in quickly covered roof with tarp, named an industry average price, all is good. One exception. They put shingles of a completely different color and now I have 2 color roof. They said that the color difference is there because new shingles never look like the old ones. And I am ok with that. But the difference is way too big. It's burning eyes. Now after some time I had few contractors working on the house and they all said that roofers could do much better in picking up shingles to match the color of the rest of the roof. I don't know whom to beleive, but now I have no choice but to replace the whole roof to the color those guys picked.
