Description of Work: The deal I purchased was for a kitchen (or bathroom) design consult and 3-D drawings. The consult went well - Mr. Amine was very professional. We have not yet made it by their office to see what he came up with, however. There was great email communication before the meeting, but afterwards, I haven't heard back regarding hours of operation for us to come by their showroom on a Saturday.

The entire process working with Dream Kitchens exceeded expectations. I had consulted Angie's List which helped me to select Dream Kitchens, but based on horror stories about remodeling projects in general, I was prepared for something to go wrong. IT NEVER HAPPENED! Work started on the day scheduled, and it was completed about a week early. Emad kept me informed throughout the process which was important since either my wife or I had to take off from work when the crew was on site. The work crew (all Dream Kitchen employees, I believe) were conscientious and kept things swept and clean. Bottom line, we were very pleased with the experience and will use Dream Kitchen and Bath for future projects.
Description of Work: Besides adding granite countertops in the kitchen, we had an existing cabinet turned to face the kitchen, add wine storage, lengthen a counter to allow for shelving, removal and replacement of 20 year old wallpaper with paint, and replacement of drop down fluorescent lighting with cans and island fixture.

We hired Dream Kitchen and Bath to completely remodel our Master Bath. The sales manager, Steven Lecrone, was punctual for our first appointment (at our house). We were impressed with his demeanor, professional yet personable. He was knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and offered creative ideas regarding our options. Later, at his office/showroom, he guided us through the process of selecting various tiles, granite, flooring, cabinets, and paint. Other items (e.g., towel bars, tub and lavatory faucets and valves, shower head, mirrors, lights, etc. were ordered online or purchased elsewhere). Construction began on the appointed date, and continued, as planned, for approximately four weeks. Various employees of Dream Kitchen and Bath (they do not use temporary "subs" for any of their work) came to our house and we always felt comfortable with them, even leaving them alone in the house on occasion. These people were competent at their trades, and the work done was excellent. In addition, they were always careful and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each workday. We were always able to contact Steven with additional questions. And, the owner of Dream Kitchen and Bath, Emad Takatka, frequently stooped by the house to a**** progress. His primary concern was our satisfaction and he was very responsive to any concerns we might express. For example, we wanted another coat of paint on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom, and that was done the very next day, without any hesitation or additional cost. Emad also went "the extra mile" to select a particularly beautiful piece of granite for our vanity counter top. We have no reservations recommending Dream Kitchen and Bath. We found them to be very responsive and engaged in the process, from beginning to end. And the quality of the work itself was very high.

Our selection process for the remodel involved using primarily Angie's List. We got quotes from other companies, with prices ranging from 20K to over 30K, so DK&B we're not the lowest bidder. We selected DK&B based upon their willingness to design and build to our needs, with positive suggestions on how to improve the kitchen. In their showroom they were helpful during the design process despite the rather awkward layout and angles in our kitchen. Initial payment was made at the end of March but work could not start until mid-June. This was a bit disappointing but we wanted the job done right and not rushed. Work started as scheduled on the date they provided and removal of old kitchen cabinets, floors, etc. was completed within 2 days. Work proceeded steadily for the next few weeks. As my wife was away and I was at work, they worked in the house alone. I did leave notes for any issues or they called me for any questions or issues they identified. They would often be working on my return home, so I was able to go over any other actions or changes required. I would highlight the work done by Mark and Debby throughout the remodel, with the quality of the work and response to our needs excellent. The only problem issue that really arose was around the installation of the glass tile for the back splash. When installation was started it was very apparent that the install team had done very little glass tile work, using the wrong tools and making a mess of the cuts and edges. They took a whole day, Friday, and the job was still not complete and then we had to physically remove tiles because of the poor workmanship. Work restarted on Monday with ongoing problems with the tile work. Frustrated with the work it was necessary to call Emad and 'fix' this problem ASAP. At the end of the day, the tiles were installed, grouted and the overall look of the backsplash was good, despite the problems. In the end the remodel work took about 4 weeks, about an extra week than originally planned. Overall, the end result for the kitchen was very good and we are very pleased with the look of our new kitchen. The DK&B team were always quick to answer our calls/emails and responded to our issues and questions. In any major remodel there are always going to be 'issues' and these were generally handled well by DK&B. With additional work to be done in the house on other rooms we would consider them for future work.
Description of Work: Full kitchen remodel including removal of existing cabinets, tile floors and pantry. Construct new wall to enlarge surface area for additional cabinets and countertop. Installation of new cabinets, tile floor, Silestone quartz countertop, glass backsplash and split 60/40 sink. Repair some previous ceiling damage and paint entire kitchen and dining room ceiling. Also install new oven range hood, garbage disposer, wine fridge and built-in microwave. Original quote was $23K, and with addition of ceiling work, paint and extra under-cabinet lights final price for complete work was $27.5K.

After interviewing 3 companies to gut and rebuild our master shower we chose Dream Kitchen & Bath. Their quote was the most reasonable for our 3x5' shower. We also liked the product selection...not too many (where it can be overwhelming like some of the bigger tile companies offer). After selecting DK&B, we signed the contract 3/13/14 and paid 50% down. The payment structure for our project was 50% upon signing (to purchase materials), 25% further into the project, and the final 25% upon completion. We liked this payment structure especially the final payment after completion so we could make sure the results met with our expectations. Our contract consisted of a complete break down of cost from materials to labor and sales tax. Our project did not begin until after Memorial weekend (5/27/14) due to other projects ahead of us. Thursday before the start date I finally called the company to make sure our date was still a "go" since I received no courtesy call from them. I was told that there was a change in personnel for project supervisors and that normally a call is made to the client prior to the start date. Since I live in a gated community where a list of non-residents needs to be provided to the gate, it is important that I know dates and names of all workers. The first crew to arrive was for demolition...the fun part. The old shower had slate and it's not that easy to remove since it comes off in mostly slivers vs. whole tile parts. There was extensive water damage behind the slate, which we suspected due to the musty smell we noticed and the fact that the previous owners had used different caulk in various areas of the grout. The original shower build did not have treated boards so several 2x4s needed replacing as well as mold needed to be cleaned up. So, $900+ later (this cost is not reflected in the overall cost of the project since its an unexpected add-on). The next group that came in were the tile guys. They installed the new shower pan using cement. They then installed a backer board (Hardi board) and sealed the joints using Red Guard. Next was the tile install. The crew was very meticulous making sure tile lined up correctly for visual appearance and was level (we used a porcelain tile and a linear mosaic accent). One of the workers didn't like how the grout line differed slightly in width below a window so after pointing it out to me he said he'd fix it. Periodically, I was asked to review their work to make sure it met with my expectations. We discussed the placement and size of a foot ledge and soap ledge. Special fusion grout and caulk was used, which ensures no future leaks. This is one of the main reasons we chose this company is due to their forward thinking of new product materials. We were going to reuse our original faucet and shower head but then decided to buy a new set along with a new valve. There were hard water stains etched in the old glass surround (previous owners did not have a soft water system) so we didn't want to take the chance of any build up in the valve and plumbing fixtures. Dream Kitchen & Bath does not, at this time, offer any plumbing fixtures but they did suggest a company that specializes in plumbing fixtures so we picked out & purchased everything through that company and when it was in, DK&B picked it up for us. Another new feature we incorporated into our shower was a drain cover that contains a strainer so hair gets caught before going down the drain. Again, another neat idea that DK&B suggested and we really like. We finished the shower with frameless glass. A special coating (Shower Guard) was added to the inside of the glass to make it easier to clean and repel water. The glass installers did a good job and were fast. Upon my review I noticed a 5/8" gap where the door meets the wall (same wall where the shower head is located) and mentioned it to the installers. I was told that it was "normal" to have that gap. We knew that water would seep through the opening so the glass installer returned a second time to add a plastic water guard...same guard that's added around the rest of the shower door. I was told by the installer that most times the water guard is NOT added because either the builder doesn't want it or some homeowners don't like the look. When the installer came back the second time, he did apologize and showed me the plastic water guard and how it's installed. At any rate, the choice to either add or NOT add the water guard should be the owners decision and not based on results from previous projects. If this had been done in our case, the installer would have saved coming back a second time. In summary, the contractors started their day by laying tarps on the floor from the entry door to the master bath entrance. At the end of the day the contractors cleaned up their work, rolled up the tarp, and packed everything back in their trucks. If the same crew were coming back the next day, they politely asked if some of their materials could be left behind, which was stacked neatly in the bathroom and/or on the back patio. When leaving for lunch, the crew would tell me and give me an approximate time they'd return. The start time was generally 9 AM and ended approximately around 6 PM. Overall, we were very pleased with the results and work ethic of the crews and would highly recommend this company.

Very friendly and helpful during estimate process. Had to call to remind them of appointment, but appears was an honest mistake mixing up days. Started first day with plans I had to show the guys size on new shower which was being made bigger. requested plans for workers and 1 for myself and never received for either. 1 of the cabinets was wrong took several days to convince them and get them to order the correct one. Removed old cabinets and needed flooring for the area, told project manager, he took a picture of flooring and told me to go find some that night, with no help as far as name or type of flooring. Emad called several days later and wanted to know the color of the granite we picked out. had to go back to the office and show them which one. glass provider contacted me to get into house for measurements and install, not dk&b. had to argue with Emad to close in holes where lights were moved to line up with sinks on new cabinets, he says sometimes customers like to do that themselves. work completed after 5 weeks instead of 2 weeks. Emad came over for final payment at which time we pointed out several problems which needed to be fixed and we requested lien release on project. next day came back with improper lien releases stating not necessary since this was not a million dollar jog. scratch on granite could not be fixed for 3-4 weeks (didn't get the feeling he had any intention of doing that}. caulk on back of cabinets has huge holes(emad stated wall crooked, not his fault, and that is the best he could do} they just painted over it.

Response from Dream Kitchen & Bath
We always like to reconfirm with our customers how they like things so we can make sure everyone is on the same page & nothing has been lost in translation. We ordered the vanities for the bathrooms. Before the installation; the customer changed her mind & requested to change the cabinet layout from having drawers on the left to now having them on the right. By doing this pushed to job time out because cabinets have to be ordered from the factory. Cabinets take a few weeks to receive when ordering. It was never in the original quote for us to do any electoral work. We did move the lighting, fixed the sheetrock holes around the lighting, and painted at no charge to the client. There where several things requested by this client for us to do that we where never contracted to do. Many of which we did out of goodwill at no cost to the client. The flooring was her original flooring. It was not in the contract to replaced. She asked if we could replace a few pieces. We said sure it would not be a problem if she found something that matched. Since it was her own flooring we did not know names or colors of it. She was matching it on her own & we replaced it for free. However there is only so much we can do with out charging. For example patching the holes was not a problem. But we could not resurface an entire wall at no charge. In the end even though we did do extra services on this job; the client did not want to pay their invoice. She asked for a release of lien but did not want to pay her bill. It is always our intention to provide the greatest quality of service. We always want to leave making sure our clients our happy.

We decided to contact Dream Kitchen & Bath after receiving an advertisement in the mail. Because their prices seemed to be competitive, we decided to move forward with them installing granite counter tops in our kitchen. This was our first time to work with a service provider of this type, as we usually do our own home improvements. As a 'Do-It-Yourself' family, we are used to having control of our own projects and having it turn out just the way that we intended. So this was a big test for us to turn all of that control over to someone else. The result of this experience is that we definitely plan to be repeat customers of Dream Kitchen & Bath. They were extremely prompt. In fact, they were ready to install the granite before we had received our new sink. They patiently worked with us as we waited over a month for our sink to arrive, and then promptly fit us into their schedule when it was ready. Their team who installed the granite was EXCEPTIONAL!!!! They obviously care about their work and take great pride in it, as they worked hard to get the perfect fit around a tricky corner piece that we had. As we watched, we were very skeptical of that area turning out right. But our skepticism completely melted away as they worked to get it perfect. Emad made sure that we were completely happy, and continued to send out his professionals to check on follow-up items. I knew that we could count on them to see us through any issue, and to be there every step of the way from beginning to end. I'm very happy with how the project has turned out, and we'll be calling upon Emad and his team again in the future.

It was a beautiful experience. They were prompt and on time. They did what they said that they were going to do and I did not have any surprises at the end. There was not one look of trouble. They were not the cheapest but I did not have any confidence in the cheapest company. It just looked too fishy and too good to be true. They were not the most expensive either. They were just in the middle. The quality of their work was perfect. I have not had any issues or whatsoever yet. I am looking at it but everything looks beautiful. Their response was instantaneous. They came out just about immediately and had the estimate probably within three days and I had to wait almost three weeks for the other estimates. The first morning, they had indicated that they needed to go and pick the materials up at the warehouse so they came at 10:00 but then every other morning, they were there by 8:00. They were very punctual and very courteous. They asked how long they could work during the day and stayed pretty much as long as I needed them. They finished the job in a timely fashion. I was just really pleased. They were also clean. It was great.

In November we discovered the upstairs bath shower/tub had a slow leak. We could hear it drip, dripping down to the 1st floor ceiling each time my son showered. Upon close inspection, we could see that some of the grout lines between tiles were cracking and a couple of tiles appeared to be coming slightly off the wall at the corners. The grout had been previously patched by a handyman last year, but we realized that the entire shower needed to be retiled. When we visited Dream Kitchen and Bath, we were treated very well, even though our problem did not involve an entire remodel. They took the time to listen, offer suggestions, and helped us select tile and grout products in our price range that worked with our existing décor. The salesman made an appointment to visit our home to measure the bath and suggest materials. Later, a date was scheduled for the work (my only disappointment was that we had to wait a month before they could get to our project). But the job was performed over the course of 3 days, and was well worth the wait. The men were all courteous and prompt. They left the area clean as well. The store manager came by to check the job after completion to make sure all was done properly and that we were satisfied. I had stressed over this project before we began, but Dream Kitchen and Bath made it easy.

, It went excellent. Dream Kitchen & Bath provided a competitive estimate and had a great granite selection. They employ their own installers. The installers all said they enjoyed working for the company, and it showed in their work ethic and the quality of their labor. Only thing I would change is to have the sink and plumbing work done right after the countertop is installed. Instead, they did the backsplash work as the second step. Because of damage to the wallboard behind the old backsplash, they had to replace the drywall (which was no extra charge). This took an extra day, so we ended up without being able to use the sink or dishwasher for 5 days.
Description of Work: Had estimate for granite countertops and backsplash done. Then, had granite countertops and backsplash installed in our kitchen.
