This is Matt the owner of Chimney Pro. I generally do not respond to customer reviews, but I feel this review is dishonest, and that I should respond to it. This gentleman did not find us on Angie's list, nor did he use our service. He called last week, explained that he was referred to us by another company in town that we have been doing business with for many years. Everything was fine at first, and he was polite at the beginning, but the as soon as Cindy explained to him that we charge a service call to go out to his house he got very irate. He started yelling at her on the phone, to the point that she couldn't do anything other than hang up the phone. After, that he emailed me a nasty letter telling me that he is in the construction industry, and NEVER pays a service call, along with some nasty comments. I answered his email, and let him know that this is standard practice in the fireplace industry, and I thought, that was the end of it. It wasn't. This man then decided to email the company that referred us to him, and tried to give us a bad name with them. I know because they called me afterward, and let me know what was going on. I have known these people for 12 years, and they have repeatedly told me over the years that the reason they send jobs to me is because I am one of the few companies in town that they trust to do the jobs right. Once again, I thought that was the end of it. It wasn't. I then received another email from this man a couple of days later letting me know that he found a company to come out for free, followed by some more nasty comments. I responded very professionally, which let me tell you wasn't easy to do at this point, and let him know that I was glad he found some one, and that I hope if worked out for him. I guess that wasn't enough for him because he has now taken it upon himself to also get on here, and give me an F review even though he didn't find us on here, or use our service at all. If you look at all of our reviews, we have never had an F. We have mostly A reviews, with a couple B's, and C's. I work really hard to do honest good work for our customers. I believe that being honest with people, and doing jobs the right way, is the recipe for a successful business. I have applied that every day, and this business continues to grow, and grown. That's all I have to say. I just thought that this review was unfair, and deserved a response. I'm sure anyone reading this will understand. Thanks, Matthew Barnhart CHIMNEY PRO, LLC"

My chimney was leaking water and it was ruining my walls and ceiling. I was referred to Chimney Pro by my aunt. They showed up got on the roof found the problem and fixed it the same day. Matt was nice and professional. He took pictures of the problem on the roof, showed me what was wrong, and explained what needed to be done to fix it properly. They were clean, respectful, and seemed to be well qualified. I have not had any water problems since.
Description of Work: Fixed the concrete on top of my chimney, put on a chimney cap, and fixed bricks inside of my fireplace.

He did what he said he would do.
Description of Work: Matt fixed my chimney when another company said it was not possible. I thought I needed a new fireplace insert and it turned out I did not because Matt fixed my old chimney. It is now safe to use and no more leaks. The other company said I needed to spend $2200 and that did not include the drywall and tile work that would be necessary if the fireplace was replaced.
