+ 0 moreI don't know...maybe the project is impossible? Maybe it won't generate enough profit? I don't know! I just know the project looks doable to me, but there is no way I could do it myself. I am perfectly willing to pay someone to do it for me! I hate to have had another bad experience with Angie's List providers, but...after missing the first appointment (for which the owner apologized profusely and followed up by calling twice on the day of the second appointment, once to assure that the appointment would be met and again to say that his salesperson was running late), a representative from this company came out, looked at the project, took pictures, sent them to his office and called his office to make sure that the pictures had made it to them, and left with the promise that I'd be receiving an estimate from them shortly. I never heard another word from them! No estimate, nothing! I wasn't at all upset by the missed appointment. Things happen. And I was thoroughly impressed by the follow-up calls and the professionalism of the salesperson. But why no response from the company? I'm stymied!

+ 1 moreEverything went beautifully. Dennis and his brother Greg, arrived on time and were very professional, friendly, honest, trust-worthy and efficient. They were a joy to have in my home and I had no worries about having perfect strangers in our house. This is not always the case with contractors. Dennis and Greg are two hardworking, down to earth, responsible and decent guys whose aim is to please their customers and they sure did please me...their workmanship was absolutely superb! First class, flawless, seamless! I had an attic AC unit drip water over two ceilings. It was terrible. I couldn't imagine the ceiling in one room being repaired to it's original state...but it was! You CANNOT tell it was ever damaged and I am a perfectionist who looks for flaws! Thank you Dennis and Greg! Thank you Angie's List! The wonderful thing about both brothers is that they work with you...I kept adding more things for them to do, and they did the list with a smile and gave me very helpful suggestions. Dennis put up beautiful beadboard paneling in a bathroom...it is magazine worthy! Greg matched the acoustic on our ceilings like a true artist...I couldn't be happier!

When start time approached we inquired about adding can lighting in the kitchen and casual dining are. Dennis' response? - "no problem". He started at the exact date and time he promised, the work was the best I have seen and each day when he left all messes were completely cleared away. Dennis is a pleasure to have in your home for any reason but when his construction skills are required he is the best. We will definitely utilize his services again.

The work was completed in 2 days as promised and within the estimate. They cleaned up and made sure everything looked great when they left. The work looks great. I would definitely use this company again.

+ 0 moreI was more than pleased with the service and quality of work. I spoke with Dennis on a Mon/Tues on that same week. Emailed him some photo ideas and he reviewed and emailed me a quote. He happened to have an opening that same week on Friday afternoon. He came with his brother, Greg (if my memory serves me correctly). They arrived around 1:30 and took a look at area for the first time and we talk to firm up the details. They then left for Home Depot to get the materials and returned within the hour and immediately started. I believe they were gone by 4:15. So it only took them a couple of hours to construct and install in the ground. In addition, I asked if they would purchase a peg board and install in my garage. This was an on the spot request and they did this as well. I plan to use them again in the future and have already shared their information with family and friends.
Description of Work: Built wooden trellis/structure approx. 7' tall by 15' tall along my fence line.

+ 3 moreContacted Dennis for an estimate for ceiling repairs, gave me an estimate within 24 hr. Accepted his offer and set a date for start. Rough estimate of 4 days for repairs. The house is approx 2700 sq ft. with 12 ft ceiling. Very exhaustive and physical work. The finished product was amazing. The change in appearance and quality of work was bar none, top notch. Let me cut to the chase, Dennis and his dad are the type of handymen that once they complete a job, you want them to start your next project. I was thoroughly pleased with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I would highly recommend for that project you have always wanted to start and didn't feel you would have the quality and service that you hard earned money paid for. Allay your fears, there were no surprise, cost were less than I expected, no hidden expense, excellent quality of work and extremely professional. Will schedule soon for the remodel of master bathroom once I have located materials I want to use.

+ 4 moreThese three gentlemen worked diligently and their professionalism shined in the quality of their work. My wife and I had to unexpectedly leave town for a funeral during the time the exterior work was being performed. I left a detailed list and photos of all exterior repairs (which were numerous) we had discussed and the guys completed every item on the list. Everything they told me they would do was completed to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: I called Dennis and set an appointment for him to look at repairs I needed and he emailed the quote to me. Dennis and his Dad, Ralph, were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. They removed and replaced three different sections of damaged drywall ceiling in three different rooms, taped/bedded, and re-applied matching texture. They also sealed and textured all wallpaper in three bathrooms. They then moved to the exterior of the house and removed existing deteriorated siding, facia, soffitt and trim as needed. New matching siding, facia, soffit, and trim was installed. I provided the material, excluding fasteners/nails, for all exterior work, as I had previously purchased some material and had begun some of the repairs myself. The remaining exterior repairs were difficult as the work was at the roof level of my 2-story home. Dennis' son Jonathan assisted with the exterior work.

+ 5 moreDennis came as scheduled and reviewed the job and offered suggestions as he went. Gave us the options with no pressure to choose one or the other. Very straight forward - if you choose this then this cost - this will be this cost. He then sent a detailed estimate based on what we decided with a stating date and turn-key price, which we accepted. On the agreed date he and his father (Ralph) showed up on time with all the materials and equipment needed. They were very aware of protecting furniture and floors and covered everything with protective drop cloths or plastic. They were very considerate of my mother-in-law's needs and left her access to kitchen coffee pot and refrig during entire job. Work was top notch with extra support built in for new range vent which vents outside through the roof. Very, very easy to work with and surprised my mother-in-law who was expecting lots dust, debris and noise for three days. Instead she got notice when to be out on the patio and clean-up at the end of every day and even mopping all the floors on the final day. They actually finished job in 2 1/2 days. In addition he lowered the price by $50.00 for her because he could do the hall way ceilings at the same time he did the den and kitchen painting. Dennis and Ralph are on our list for any future work to be done!
Description of Work: Repaired cracks in ceiling between kitchen and den, installed island range vent, installed new ceiling fan in den with new four gang box for separate fan and light switches, and repaired the entire kitchen, den and hallway ceilings for my 80 years old mother-in-law.

+ 0 moreDennis and his dad came a few minutes early on the date we had agreed. He cut out the bad drywall in the ceiling, put in a patch, sealed it, and sprayed new popcorn to match the existing popcorn. He even fixed a couple of other areas that needed some touch up without an extra charge. The job was messy, but they put up plastic curtains on the walls and floors, and cleaned up very well. The whole job took about six hours (sealing and smoothing the patch took time to dry). We were very pleased.
Description of Work: Dennis replaced some damaged wall board in our kitchen ceiling where an old light fixture had been (we had previously installed recessed lighting in new locations). The repair was sealed and new popcorn sprayed on to match the rest of the ceiling.

+ 0 moreOur siding was rotting off of the back of our house and off of the chimney and we noticed that there was nothing underneath the rotting siding, so we decided to call this company. They came and looked at it the day after I called them and gave me an estimate shortly there after. We set up a start date and they came on the scheduled day and time. They were very nice and very informative. They explained everything that they did and even gave me advice on future projects. They finished on time and did a wonderful job. The back of our house and chimney looked great and they cleaned up well. Very nice and professional guys!
Description of Work: Removed and disposed of old siding. Replaced it with plywood, house wrap and Hardie Board Siding. Painted the new siding on back of house and chimney.

+ 0 moreThe quality of the new drywall installed and "popcorn" acoustic material is excellent. When the job was done all building materials were removed and the house was cleaned. The job was completed within the time frame originally agreed upon. All this work was done at a fair price. I would use this contractor again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: The drywall on the garage ceiling was removed and replaced with new drywall and the joints were sealed with tape and bedding. Holes in the drywall on the walls of the garage were also repaired. Inside the house the drywall on the ceiling of the master bathroom and a bedroom closet was replaced. A number of small cracks in the drywall throughout the house were repaired. An area in the family room ceiling was repaired and new "popcorn" acoustic material was applied. A section of paneling in the family room was replaced and the drywall beneath it replaced.

They spent quite a bit of time in my home, making a list of the projects for the estimate. That was in September. It is now November. I never received an estimate or a follow up phone call. It was a complete waste of my time having them in my home and waiting for an estimate.

Dennis show up on time for the estimate, had it back to me quickly, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable working with him. He and his dad showed up on time, worked hard for 3 days and cleaned up completely. I was impressed with their professionalism. I will use them again when I need other things done that I can't do myself.
Description of Work: The warped siding was removed, new backing and wrap were put on, new siding was installed, the siding was painted to match the rest of the house.

Description of Work: I found this company to be both very professional as well as diligent in their work. Consisting of a father and son team, both shared in their knowledge and expertise to complete a beautiful project in a very small time frame. The project consisted of painting the kitchen and dining room areas, with a special emphasis on the cabinet doors. The cabinet doors and drawers also had all their hardware replaced on them. Replacing the old countertops with new ones and the bar area, installed a new sink and light fixture in kitchen area, and installed a backsplash on one wall in the kitchen area. The work was started on a Monday and they were finish by Wednesday evening. I was so impressed with how hard they both worked at getting everything perfect and completed in exactly the amount of time I needed. I had requested the project being completed in the 3 days due to surgery I was having at the end of the week. At the completion of each day, their work area was cleaned up and preparations were made for the next. I cannot express enough how respectful and impressed I was with this father and son company. Both are very knowledgeable in their trade and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone or have them return in the future. I am so proud of my new kitchen and everyone who comes over feels the same way. Beautiful job well done!!

Description of Work: I bought my house new and after living in it for eight years I had lots of repairs to be made. Some of the things were where the builder messed up. Some of it was wear and tear. I asked my mom to help me because I am so busy with work. She hired Dennis off Angie’s List to do all of the work. He came out to give an estimate and was very fair and not pushy. He was very helpful about what honestly needed to be done. I had lots of things to address. It ranged from internal dry wall repair to external repairing the patio and putting tiles on the old patio. The construction work ranged from most everything including replacing two back doors. For example, he repaired some molding that had gotten wet and expanded. He repaired some ceiling leaks where the rain got in after a bad storm. He repaired and repainted lots of places. The work was just great. After everything was done and mom left, I found one little issue that was overlooked. She called Dennis and he came by at no cost and addressed the problem. I really liked that. My neighbor just had similar issues to me and I am recommending Dennis. His company can do pretty much anything. My list was comprehensive and he really did great work. If I need help again this is who I am calling.

+ 4 moreWe have been looking for some time for a contractor that would do some work on our mobile home. Many contractors that we called either didn't call us back or would promise an estimate and then not follow up. The work we needed done was due to some water damage that we had. The insurance company gave us an estimate and the money up front. Mr. Peterson set an appointment to come out and give us his estimate. He showed up on the day and time that he said he would and spoke with my husband about the work that needed to be done. Mr. Peterson was very professional. Within a few days he emailed my husband with an estimate that was reasonable, fair and within the budget that the insurance company gave us for the work that needed to be done except for the flooring and carpet. Mr. Peterson said he didn't do flooring and carpeting. He showed up at the time he set up with my husband to do the work. They did an excellent job on the floor and the walls that needed to be replaced. The only thing I wish they might have done was drape the furniture in the bedroom where they replaced the walls and the floor. Everything was dusty after they left. I plan to use Mr. Peterson in the future for other projects that we plan to do. I highly recommend him.

+ 0 moreAfter leaving a message, Dennis got back with us the same day and scheduled to come out and give an estimate the day after. He was on time to the time he stated (which these days means a lot, when your possibly taking off work to meet). He was very knowledgable, professional and laid out he would fix the drywall and paint. He even called back after leaving to tell us how we could possibly save some money (whether going with him or another contractor) by using our local paint store to paint match, since I could not find any interior paint from the builder. In the end we decided to go with another contractor, but his estimate was competitive and in the ballpark of the contractor we chose. We will definitely keep him in consideration for future work.

+ -1 moreI called Dennis based on his Angies list reviews, he returned my call right away and was very professional and curteous. He came the next day to look at a potential interior painting job and maybe a few handyman items. He said he would get back to me with a bid, never gave specific time,he was here on Friday.The weekend passed with no email (which i gave him when he was here). I resorted to calling him on monday to see if he was still going to send a bid, said he was out of town all weekend and didn't get to it. Said he would do it that day. It is now Tuesday (the following day), and i have yet to recieve a bid. This was a rather simple painting job that I feel a professional painter would be able to give a price on pretty quickly. I'm hesitant to hire someone if they cannot return bids in a reasonable time frame, as it has been almost five days.
