He is a good guy and is a really nice guy. He even went to Home Depot and picked up the door for me. He did a good job and I was impressed.

We contacted Superior Building and Remodeling and talked to Dennis Peterson after first reviewing his firm's listing and customer reviews. He was busy but did all he could to take care of us while also taking care of existing jobs and family commitments. First he recommended a source of doors where we had one made that was stronger than the old door. We scheduled a time for installing the door with Dennis and he arrived to do the job as scheduled. It turned out that the space the old door was in was not at all square and fitting in the new door took serious threshold adjustments. We really wondered how the door could be installed, painted different colors on each side and be closed at the end of the day and have the paint be dry enough to lock up for the night. The most important feature of the work facilitating this outcome was a paint booth rapidly constructed around the newly installed door, allowing it to be spray painted with a very rapid drying primer followed by spray painting the sides different colors with the door already in place. The new door closes and seals better than ever and we are very pleased with the work of Dennis Peterson and Superior Building and remodeling.

I was very pleased with the professionalism shown by Dennis and the quality of his work. He showed up on time each day and completed the work in a timely manner. He does almost all of the work by himself so you don't have to deal with subcontractors for the job. I would highly recommend Dennis to anyone needing the type of jobs I contracted him for.

The worker from Superior Building & Remodeling LLC was very nice. On a scale of 1 through 10 I was happy at about an 8 or 9. There were a couple of things I had to find out on my own that he did not disclose to me. The deck ended up costing me more than the original quote but it wasn't a terrible price. He ended up not cutting the front of the porch in a perfectly straight line.

My new husband promised my daughter he would finish out the attic space off her room for her to play, and she never let him forget it! So, the process started. We contacted 3 companies, two showed up to bid the job. We hired one and they never came back. We did not feel comfortable with the other company so I made one more call. Thank goodness the first company never showed, because Superior was a great company to work with. Dennis and his dad, the only two people involved in the company, came out and did the bid. Within a couple of days I had a detailed email with my options. I felt their pricing was reasonable and was actually less than the original contractor, and they could get it done when I needed. The project put on the books, and scheduled to start and be completed the week before Thanksgiving. They were there every day and time they said they were going to be and even worked late before they had to so as to not run into a time crunch. Some changes were suggested by Dennis that I thought were good and he never said "it will only cost this much more". There were a couple of minor surprises to come up, and again Dennis never increased his bid. The job was completed on schedule and was/is beautiful. I would definately use Superior again and recommend them without any reservations.

I emailed and called and finally got an appointment nearly 5 weeks away. Dennis and a helper arrived on time and did a good job assembling the furniture, although the top to the first piece is scratched (it could have been shipped that way) which fact was revealed to me only after all 3 were assembled. The other work was fine. Altogether 4 hours (reasonable). They did not offer to move the large boxes to the garage or to move the heavy tables from the hall to the den. I did not ask for or receive an estimate or hourly rate. I did not receive any document bearing the name of the company.

Great! This was the second time I've used this company and was just as pleased as the first time. I contacted Dennis and his schedule was pretty full, but we set up a date and he arrived just as promised and got right to work. They cleaned up any mess as they went along. His father was with him this time, so they finished quickly. I will continue to call Dennis when I need something done. I feel I can count on him.

Dennis Peterson is the owner of the company. It was just him and his dad, but they did a really good job. We needed to replace some wood. My dad went and bought the wood for them. We then just paid them for the labor to do it. He did give me a quote before doing the job. He kind of itemized everything. He also told me exactly what he does step by step that included power washing the house, which none of the others put that on there. He was very upfront about everything. I would tell people to call him to get the work done. Their price was lower than some of the others. They were here very early every morning. They were also very professional about what they were doing. I would use their services in the future too.

He and his dad came out promptly at the appointed time over the several days it took to do the work and did a very thorough job for the exact price on his estimate. When an issue arose, he came out promptly and fixed it, even after they were paid in full. Plus, he helped guide us in the door selection to a supplier that made a quality door at a better price than you could find at the home improvement store. Can definitely recommend.

They did an excellent job. They were very friendly, educational, professional, and even cleaned up their mess at the end. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs door work done. When I replace my front door, I will be using them again.

Dennis Peterson responded quickly with a home visit and estimate of the cost for the assorted items I needed done around my house. When I called or emailed him, he responded quickly each time. On the day of the work, he worked steadily from one job to the other, was very friendly and professional. He cleaned up any mess that was made as he went through the projects. I was very impressed. Being an older woman on my own and new to this neighborhood, it was important to me to find someone I could trust working in my house. I dreaded having to go through several people before I could find someone I could depend on. But this was a great experience! I already have some other items that I'll have Dennis do for me. It feels great to know I can call on him when I need help.

My father built two homes for our family, and I was present as a young boy and again at 16 when he completed his last home. I observed in the first, and helped in the second. Mr. Peterson is near perfect. His demeanor is cordial but professional, and he works with a very high degree of skill and precision. My door replacement was non-standard and a few modifications had to be made. He made them without difficulty, using the best practices. Angie's List is fortunate to have a subscriber of this quality in service. I have spoken to Superior Building for additional work on my home. I would hardily recommend Superior Building and Remodeling to anyone without reservation.

The workmanship on the cubbie holes was shoddy and unprofessional. I could have done a better job myself. He didn't seem to have the appropriate tools, like a portable table saw, so nothing was square or straight. I was deeply disappointed.

Dennis and his father came out to install new French Doors. I had been in communication with Dennis for a couple weeks and he referred us to a place to purchase the doors and they were delivered right on time and were exactly what we wanted based on Dennis's suggestion, perfect. Dennis and his father were friendly and meticulous in their work, we couldn't be more happy. They worked around our schedule and it took longer than they had planned due to the poor shape our existing doors were in but stuck to the penny of the estimate. I would use them again and recommend them to all my family and friends. Very pleased.

I called him. He came out on Sat and emailed me an estimate. We scheduled an agreeable time for the work. He showed up as promised and finished the same day.

This was my first experience with this company. Dennis came out to the house, assessed what we needed, and took measurements of our non-standard-size door. He offered us the option of ordering the new door ourselves from a local big-box retailer or ordering it from a company that he does business with regularly. We swung by the store to check prices and they were similar, so we went with the door company he recommended. The door was delivered to our house and Dennis came out the next day to install it. He was very accommodating to our requests (like using a non-VOC paint and even going to the store to pick some up and match it to our current paint). He worked diligently all day installing it (he was here 6+ hours) and was really professional. He very carefully installed the door and surrounding case, shimming it carefully so that it fit and worked perfectly. He put up plastic to protect the inside of the house while he was working, and he cleaned up after himself with the vacuum before leaving. This was a welcome change from other contractors we've had in the past who left the place a mess. Overall I was really impressed by Dennis, super nice guy, hard worker, and did a very good job. I would definitely hire him again.

The entire experience was great from the initial call through the completion of the job. Dennis arrived right on time and was quick and professional, friendly, and honest. Did an excellent job and the cost was better than expected. Also Dennis if you read this Monte and Brookie love the dog door. You will be glad that you called Dennis we highly recommend him.

Smooth as silk. Job was completed promptly, on time, at the price agreed upon (which seemed a little low). Absolutely no complaints- they're on my 'call first' list for the future.

The whole process went extremely well. Dennis and his helper arrived on schedule and took approximately four hours to complete all of the repairs. All of the work was performed in a professional manner and I was very satisfied with the results.

Dennis answered my initial call Mon, and arrived on time at Mom's Tue AM. His estimate was within our expectations. He offered to call his supply houses if we couldn't find what we wanted in stock for the patio doors + windows; time being a big factor for us since the main entry door needed attention immediately. We bought the doors + windows Tue PM; let him know that night; received + accepted his email quote Wed and scheduled the job for Thurs AM. Dennis picked up the doors, windows and supplies on his way to Mom's house Thurs AM. The first big problem was the settling of the house, and foundation: the patio door frame had to be shimmed very carefully since the concrete base sunk in the middle of the frame. It works very well, despite the appearance of being slightly off kilter. Because of the foundation problems, Dennis made a custom frame for the new casing around the inside of the patio doors; and installed concrete board to frame the outside (sealed with paintable weather-proof caulk so we can match the siding if needed.) The window units were customed installed in 1979, so Dennis created a custom mullion and frame to fill the original spaces--beautiful! He installed concrete board behind the siding to cover gaps that had existed since the windows were first installed. He fixed the main entry door quickly and installed a secure double plate for the lock; he adjusted the storm door and reattached it, so it actually stays closed now without having to lock it!! The sheetrock repairs were done so professionally, that after he painted them, we couldn't tell that they were patched.

Made an appointment to give us an estimate for 7:00 p.m. at about 6:40 p.m. called to say he had been delayed but would arrive at 7:25. He arrived at 7:20. We accepted the estimate and he said he would be able to complete the job in two weeks. To our surprise since it was a smaller job he called and asked if he could complete the job the next weekend so he pushed us up a week. Did a nice clean job.

I could not have been more pleased with the quality of the workmanship; Dennis did an excellent job. He was punctual and worked quickly....all business; he was very professional and polite. I thought the price was perhaps a little high but overall well worth it. I would highly recommend Dennis and will definitely call him again. I am very pleased!

Great! Dennis came to the house for an estimate on the very day I called him. He provided the estimate the next day and began work the following week. He had several ideas for each project and explained the pros and cons of each approach, so I felt I could make a more informed decision regarding materials, etc. The porch posts he replaced have been upgraded from their original material, and match perfectly. Dennis was polite, knowledgable and punctual. He's easy to get ahold of and returns calls promptly.
