When they came out to install the new unit (two days later), they told us something different - indicating the remote key pads were not available with the model we purchased. Then, after talking with the owner, they said the technician was incorrect and simply had forgotten to pick up the remote keypads. Then, they began the install and tell us (only after taking off the old unit) that they cannot do electrical work in the attic and we'd have to call an electrician to finish the install. They offered to install the unit with extension cords, which they did. Then they stapled the wiring for the button (by the door entering the home) to the ceiling (again because they tell us - after they started the work - that their insurance doesn't cover them for attic work). They left all the old wiring (which was hot/live). So we now have to call an electrician to fix the unprofessional work they did. Their solution to our complaint was to give us a reel of the wiring to do it ourselves.

When I called to schedule the consultation I was told someone would be out "Thursday around 3:30-4" with no date. Thursday of the week I called came around and no one showed or called. I figured if they weren't going to show then it wasn't worth contacting them, and I marked the company off the list of companies I might use for the repair. One week later I got a call from one of West Texas Door's repair technicians saying he was scheduled to come out around 3:30-4 but was available around noon. So, I told him to come on out because free is free and my husband was available. After the guy left I found out he didn't do a consultation, he did the repair. So, I ended up getting charged $60 for what was supposed to be a free consultation. I will say everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly. I marked off on the professionalism score because the way I see it being on time and doing what you say you're going to do are a part of being professional. The price they charged was also $15 lower than next closest estimate I had, so if price is your concern West Texas Door has you covered. I can't decide if I would use them again and just make sure everything I want is repeated back to me or if I'll just avoid them altogether.

The job went great! The lady who took my call was very friendly and accommodating. She even gave me a military veteran discount on the invoice price for the work. Eric, the repairman, was punctual, most professional, and very friendly. West Texas Door and Construction is the type of locally owned small business that makes America great! I wholeheartedly recommend their service!

Great, this is a small company so I feel I got the best service possible.

The guys showed up right on time and did the work as agreed. In and out in short order and professional the whole time. I would hire them again and would also recommend them for garage door service.

Two installers from West Texas Door showed up within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. They were courteous, quickly removed and replaced overhead spring and lubed rollers and track. I was completely satisfied.

I explained to the receptionist what work needed done on our entry doors. I specifically asked if that is a service they provide, and, if not, perhaps they could refer me to someone. She assured me they could perform the repairs and scheduled my appointment. A gentleman called on the day of the appointment to confirm the appointment and clarify the work to be done. He was running late, but I gladly agreed to a later time. He never showed up, and I haven't heard from them since. If a company isn't interested, I wish they would just say so and not waste my time. I do not actually live in the house where the service was done but they kept in contact with me by phone with regards to the job. I did actually have an issue with the job after it was completed and they came back and they fixed that issue and then that presented another issue which they also fixed. Overall, I was satisfied.

I received verbal estimates from four companies and made the decision to go with West Texas Door. The reason we decided on West Texas Door is because it is a locally owned business and Bill's estimate was inline with the other companies. Bill arrived at our home promptly and with one person to assist him. They were both very professional, courteous, and had the work completed very quickly. It was a great experience and we will use West Texas Door again, as well as recommend them to others.

I called to set up an appointment to have my garage door fixed. West Texas door said they would come by around 4:00 the following day. I got a phone call letting me know they were on their way, they were on-time. Upon examining my doors, Bill explained to me that my garage door needed to be reset and my beam was picking up some kind of interference. He adjusted the beams, and reset my garage door and Ta-da. He declined payment, stating that the problem was very simple. It is about time for me to replace my garage doors and the bid West Texas Door and Construction is very reasonable and competitive. They will be coming back to replace new insulated garage doors.
