+ -1 moreWe contracted with Bruce Schuette of A-Bru-Lyn to complete construction of our home. The budget for the job was $255,000, but Bruce went way over budget (by about $150,000). This primarily was a result of Bruce not doing the work he agreed to and ended up hiring subcontractors to do the work. He also was not at the building site most of the time to check the subcontractors work and negotiate a cost within budget. Bruce said he could finish the work on schedule (8 months) but ended up taking 14 months. The work that Bruce did do was sub-standard including cabinet installation and wiring. Many times we would make an appointment to meet Bruce at the building site (about 250 mi.) and he would either not show up or he would be hours late, stay for a few minutes, and then leave.
Description of Work: As a general contractor, Bruce Schuette of A-Bru-Lyn was to locate, supervise and negotiate with subcontractors. He was responsible for keeping costs within budget and completing the work on schedule.
