Description of Work: They repaired my undermount kitchen sink which was starting to fall/sag. They were able to send somebody out the same day I called. I didn't get a quote from anyone else but the price seemed fair. The placed four epoxy clips under the sink and ran a new silicone bead around the edge of the sink. I am very happy with the work and how quickly they were able to get to me.

They arrived when they scheduled to give us an estimate. We waited for a call with a price for the job, but that call never came. We called them about a week later and they told us that the estimate was still being worked on. We called again a week later and still no price. We ended up going with Colorado Customs Granite and Marble. They were awesome and professional!!!!! I will never waste another minute on the phone with Ortega Kitchen and Bath! Save yourself some headache and go straight to Colorado Customs! (806)831-1994

I ordered a small vanity from a remnant piece that was located in town on July 3rd. The man sent to measure did not realize it was for a solid surface and brought the wrong forms but he measured anyway. A week later I received a call and was told that another man needed to come measure because he had the right forms – the appointment was made to measure the next week. Two weeks wasted. I asked how long it would take to enter the order and get it manufactured – 2.5 weeks. Great. They sent the info via email and all looked good so I paid and frac12; of the cost to get it started. Two and a half weeks went by – no word. I called and they had not manufactured yet. Another week – I called again. The sink was not in. Really because now you’ve had four weeks to get the sink in for a remnant piece sitting 2 blocks from the showroom. Ok. When can you get the sink in. It will be in Friday, August 1st. OK. When can you install. Next week. Great. Next week: we have not manufactured it yet. We can install the week of August 5th (it’s been a month now). They call and want install on Friday the 9th. I’m traveling can’t do it until after 11th. We set up August 13th at 8:00am for install. I call plumbers they disconnect faucet on August 11th and are scheduled to return on the 13th to put in new faucet. I call from DFW to confirm 8:00am installation time on August 13th – Suzie confirms. No show at 8:00am. I call at 10:00 – spoke to Suzie. She said they left this morning with the materials but she can’t reach them. I’m sitting home waiting…. I call at 11:30 talked to Stephanie – she starts looking for Suzie. I’m on hold for 15 minutes, disconnected twice, I call back twice, and in between Suzie picks up – Stephanie gets back to me and says she can’t find Suzie – really because she just picked up for me. She puts me on hold again. When she gets back she asks if I want to talk to Suzie – NO – I’ve been dealing with Suzie for four weeks – I’m getting the run around. She gets a hold of Suzie and says, It’s true we can’t reach the installers. Really in this day and age? How about you call the customer they’re servicing and ask to put them on the phone. Oh, I never thought of that. We’ll try. Then Stephanie puts me on hold again. She gets back and says she can’t reach them she’ll text them. Really – text them – does that mean you CAN contact them??? How strange. She texted and they give no response. So, we leave it that she’ll call when they are on their way. I asked for a reduced price for the hassle and incompetency of their company. Stephanie said she’d look into it – she’s only been sales manager for 1-2 months – and is trying to “clean up the problems.” I get ready to head back to work, but decide to write this out while its fresh in my thought. The install truck drives by my house… give them 10 minutes to locate the house and they’ll be here. When they arrive I simply tell them they are the most wanted men in Lubbock Texas right now – everyone is looking for them. It’s now noon. “We had a paperwork mix up.” “I’m sure. No need to tell me what happened Suzie already has given every excuse in the book. I’m just glad you’re here.” I expect install to go well. It did before – the issue is not with the hard-core labor side of this company – it’s with the management. Install went well – they took out the old sink beautifully without harming walls, etc and installed the new one. Make sure that your new vanity has holes drilled for the plumbing – both times they have forgotten this or not put in three holes – they can do it on the truck in front of your home. Install crew is amazing -- If you have to use this company you will the job done – but pencil it in on your calendar – and expect the third or fourth install date to work for you and expect to have to call them for updates as they will not call you.

We started our order in January of 2013 and could not get a confirmation of the order for three weeks -- yes -- that means we had to tackle them to take our order and begin the process -- this simply took three weeks. The way I got the order in was through Santiago -- an install person at the company -- not through the original salesman we worked with in the showroom. Go figure. Santiago got the order entered and measured. It took another four weeks to get it manufactured -- we constantly had to call for install dates -- they use only one day a week to manufacture solid surface materials. If only there was another place in town. They gave an install date finally but called and had to reschedule a few days -- they were having difficulties with the material. Install date came and they showed up on time, finally, and it was beautiful. The install team is amazing, but the sales team, order team, and calendar team is incompetent. Only use this company if you absolutely have to. Unfortunately, I love solid surface so much... I have to. I have two baths and a kitchen to do -- will order from out of town.

They removed the existing counter top and replaced it with a one piece cultured marble counter. It looks beautiful and was worth the price of $550. They cleaned up after themselves, too. They also have a beautiful showroom, where you can make your choices from many price levels, high to low. There is no pressure to buy a more expensive item. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: As part of a bathroom remodel, Ortega put in a new countertop with two sinks in our bathroom. They were very well priced and did the job exactly as promised. I would definitely use them again.

We used them in summer of 2009. We were impressed when they carried a countertop that was long enough for two sinks and it was longer than my stairs. It was one solid piece of granite taken all the way up the stairs. I was just really impressed with that. I've got photos and documents of their whole procedure.
Description of Work: We used Ortega Kitchen and Bath to install a granite top in our master bath, a marble tub and a marble surround in our shower.
