our sewer line was backing up badly, they were fantastic

I had an issue with roots causing my bathtub to back up and slowly drain every time I ran the washing machine. I called Joe Rushing out to clear the drain. They came and ran a camera and supposedly tried to snake the drain. They said the whole line needed to be replaced and sent me a quote for several thousand dollars to replace it. I ran my washing machine that night and the tub almost filled up and held water for several hours. My problem was much WORSE after they came than when I called them. I called one of their competitors (Earls) who came out the next day and within 30 minutes had the drain clear. This was a few months ago and as of now everything is working perfectly. I tried to discuss my issue with them however they were unyielding about getting payment for the "work" they performed and not willing to work with me. From where I am sitting, it certainly appears that they made my drain worse in the hopes of getting $8k worth of work out of me. I do not appreciate being held hostage. I will never deal with these people again and recommend that you go elsewhere. At best, they half assed the job and clearly didn't run the washing machine to check it before they left. It certainly looks like a nice attempt to extort more money out of me. STAY AWAY.

THIS IS AN UPDATE ON A REVIEW POSTED YESTERDAY AS I AM UNABLE TO REMOVE OR ALTER IT! I had a leak arise after a water faucet was installed; I was then charged for the leak repair. My initial contact with the company regarding resolution of this matter was not encouraging, however, the company phoned me back today and told me additional charges for labor would be waived. This is quite fair and I am very happy with their compromise on this matter. I have used them in the past without problem, and knowing that they do indeed pay attention to problems that may arise, I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Work was done but permits weren't gotten correctly. Plumbing and the City of Lubbock got into working and permit laws and who was responsible for what. What was and wasn't done correctly and we were caught in middle. As of today's date (9-7) plumbing company says completed, the city of Lubbock says not.

John came in and worked quickly to solve the problem. He was very nice and did a great job. I intent to tell everyone I know to call this company for all their plumbing needs. A+ work and A + customer service.

I have used this provider for years. While they are not the cheapest, they do quality work and they stand behind their work. When I have blocks, they almost always arrive the same day to clear it. For this project, which was not an emergency, it took quite a while for them to fit me in the schedule. They are always very busy.

Mr Rushing was very professional and most adept at his profession. He had both drains flowing smoothly in about 15 minutes. I highly recommend Joe Rushing Plumbing for any plumbing services you need. Also the cost was very reasonable considering it was a Sunday afternoon.

Joe Rushing came out the same afternoon I called because we were not getting hot water. He diagnosed the problem and had his men install the hot water recirculating pump that afternoon even though it took until nearly 6 PM. They had the parts and the expertise to get the job done right away. The promptness of the service was so important as we were leaving town the next morning at 5 AM for the weekend. Very professional and efficient!

We called in the morning....they had a schedule of 13 calls for the day, but they would do their best to get to us. They called at 3:30 and 2 very capable and delightful employees came to our rescue.

Mister Rushing called and gave me all of the pricing information to install an under the counter tankless water heater. He also went into detail about electrical requirements and the amount of water flow. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He went beyond what I expected and I will definitely use him in the future.

I am widow and tech took time to teach me how to maintain the water heater. Very knowledgeable, clean and professional. I have tried other plumbers and Joe Rushing Plumbing is the best. I finally found my go-to plumbing company.

Joe Rushing Plumbing Co Inc is professional, if something goes wrong they make it good, they're timely, they're friendly but they charge a little bit too much. They clean up after themselves, they will explain the problems and uses of the work done, they're responsive, they troubleshoot issues, and they're patient.

The service and follow up was exceptional. They were very nice and friendly. The only problem was actually getting them out to the house. Each time we (myself and my landlord) called, the ladies in the office misunderstood something and thought we were waiting to check with another service, but nothing of that sort was mentioned. Once we got the misunderstanding cleared up, they were right out to fix it right away.

We've used Rushing's about 4-5 times in the last few years. The last time was in February to install a new cleanout on our sewer line which had gotten clogged with tree bark from an old tree close to the cleanout, and had caused our sewer to back up into the shower and onto the floor of our bathroom off the master bedroom. Their service is always the same level of excellency. Arrived quickly and on time, phone ahead of time to let me know he was heading my way. Cleared sewer of work sock that had been flushed down toilet which proved to be difficult as the sock was stuck to the side of the line (showed me the video). Was here several hours b/c of the difficulty of the job. He's been here before and is always the same: Professional, friendly, well-informed on several issues, and competent. Appreciated the professional advice he gave me on other issues, including how to accomplish some plumbing issues in far less expensive and intrusive manner than what d been advised by another company. He was quite knowledgeable on this issue and others. I intend to call him back for some extensive work in the future the next time my kitchen sink line becomes clogged.

They are good and on time. They know what they are doing. They aren't cheap, but are extremely fair. I've used him about 10-15 times since 2006.

They are a local company and I have used their services for about 15 years. I think they are very fair on price. They always respond quickly, are very conscientious, and always clean up their mess. I have been happy with their services. They do a good job.

They are very reliable. My son moved one of the workers and he is the one that recommended them.

They get plenty of business. They are fine. I guarantee their work. They have done an excellent job over the years. I have lived here 40 years and they have solved all my problems. They are the tops. They are professional. They will stay until they solve the problem. They are not cheap. They are good and they have got the right to charge what they want to charge. It's like anything. Some people pay it and some people don't. I would use them again. I have used them for 40 years.

Joe Rushing plumbing has been to our house 4 times. They have fixed leaks, flushed our plumbing from busted water softener beads, replaced faucets, etc. Each time has been a solidly positive service experience. They are very reasonably priced and are very honest. They have steered us away from more expensive repairs, consistently, and have explained the reasoning behind their opinions. It is unfortunate that they do not want to be listed, because I believe they are among the best in Lubbock.

I would call them anytime I need any type of plumbing work done.

We moved to Lubbock in November and had this company suggested to us by friends. We have now used Joe rushing Plumbing, Heating and AC on three different occasions with extreme satisfaction. The first was installation of new gas line to a dryer. The second involved installation of new water-saving toilets and several sink faucets. Each time we were impressed by the appearance, concern and knowledge of the workmen. Even the office staff is punctual and accurate with scheduling and is very receptive to calling at a specified time in advance of the crews arrival in case of delay.

The guy was honest enough to tell me it was just the water regulator and only charged a service charge. He also told me that the shower knob that I had, although old, was the best on the market even as old as it was. I appreciate this type honesty, which I'm sad to say I've found to be lacking in the majority of men who have done work on my home.

They were there. They were real nice. Every time the clogged one leaked a new one would spring up and they stayed until they managed to fix it. It was a pretty big leak. Their price was average. I don't know what it should have cost. They did a pretty good job. We haven't had them come back up. If I had any more plumbing problems I would use them again in the future.
