The unit I was looking at was a Mitsubishi mini split system to be purchased through Home Depot. JD's was the local installer for them. The salesman arrived on time for our meeting. He then told me that the approx. $1300.00 system would cost about $4000.00 total to install. He tried to tell me that it would cost approximately $1200 for their electrician it set me one 120V outlet for the unit. I just laughed at this guy and asked him if he was for real. The going rate for this is about $200 from any other electrical company in town. I expected somewhere between $500 and $1000 to install the unit. Needless to say I sent him down the road and did not use their services.

We decided to use them because we were happy with their quote.

They are great. They cleaned it out real good. Every time we need them they have been right there to take care of the problem. Their price is reasonable.

We used their services 4 times. The compressor was under warranty, they were quick to get here, and they were very friendly.

I researched several local vendors and found the pricing for the turn-key replacement heating and air conditioning system to be very similar. That left us with the intangibles and JD passed with flying colors. He was patient with us and made sure he understood what our needs were. He provided several ideas based on our budget and did not pressure us about upbuying a larger unit than was required to heat/cool our home. After his visit, we had additional questions re: financing for which his secretary (Reba?) was most pleased to assist us. I think that impressed my wife the most and was a major detail that led to our deciding that JD's was our vendor of choice. A few weeks later with the finances in order, we made our appt with them. The installers, Bobby and Javier, arrived early that next morning; saw what was to be done; and did so in a professional and timely manner. They were quiet; clean; and very polite not to mention patient with me when I looked over their collective shoulder from time to time. The installation took the better part of the day but there was no time wasted by either installer. At the end of the installation and after a more than satisfactory clean up of the work area both inside and out, Bobby was very patient with me as he explained how the provided programmable thermostat worked. My wife, who had been absent for a short period, returned home just as Bobby was finishing with his explanation. He re-explained the mechanism for her from beginning to end and showed none of the "it's time to go home" impatience one has come to expect from lesser vendors. In short then, JD's Air Conditioning is now the gold standard for which I will judge all like vendors. I heartily recommend JD's Air Conditioning to all home owners seeking good equipment, good value, and excellent people.

Four days later I still have not heard back from them and that makes me angry. I've moved on to other companies for these estimates.
