A lot of small stuff was off uneven tile seat where water won’t run off , did not evenly space tile to get rid of small pieces. Installed towel rack about three inches off center and covered our bedroom with a thick dust.

Great! The windows turned out to be a tight fit, but they got them installed in good time. They even fixed a problem with one of the screens. They were very professional.

WE have used Gill Construction several times for projects big and small and have been very satisfied with their work which they stand by. We will be using them again when we remodel our kitchen. Would highly recommend--honest and trustworthy.

The head guy noted that one of the screens was damaged and said they would order and install the screen later. Said to myself: "I'll never see these guys again". But 2 weeks later the screen was installed. Excellent work all around.

All employees working for Gill Construction were very courteous and dependable. Construction site was cleaned every day. Employees made us feel as if we were a high dollar client, even though our project was not a big one. The company kept to the original estimate. No surprises. At one point we had a deviation of plans that was not estimated for and out of our control and overages to the estimate were absorbed by Gill Construction. Once construction was completed, Micky went over the entire purchase order making sure we were satisfied with the work and the cost. Additional attention was taken with quality of work, supplies, and timing of work done. No complaints or concerns at all.

This was a major remodel project with complete redo of dining room, two living areas, master bedroom and bath (most of the first floor of our two story home). After attempting to get several bids for the work we chose Gill Construction for their timely response, reasonable prices and highly personal approach. We had used them for an addition to our home 10 years ago and had remembered what a positive experience we had then. From the very first meeting with Jerry and Mickey we were impressed with their professionalism, creativity and obvious interest in our project. We were especially pleased when the subcontractors were brought in during the estimate process which gave me great comfort in the validity of the bid. Jerry came back 3 times to make sure all areas were covered and then provided a detailed quote. (I will say that the other companies I tried were slow in getting back or very high in their quote. ) Our project started on the date chosen and we also agreed to a completion date i(as we all know, these jobs can often drag on.... more on that later). From the very first day, the Gill crew showed up on time and worked diligently. There was a steady flow of workers and I never had to call and ask where somebody was or if someone was going to show up. There had obviously been a focused effort on coordinating each step of the work. I was in constant communication with Mickey throughout the job and cannot say enough about how well he keep me informed and updated on what to expect. Every time he said someone would be there, they were!! This was such a nice part of the experience. We have done other projects with other companies and I always seemed to be calling to ask why people were not showing up. Not so with Gill! And not only do they show up...the subs are all polite, professional and incredibly skilled craftsman! Even when we made some changes along the way (and we made several!), they were quick to accommodate and made sure we were happy with every choice and decision. They also did an amazing job keeping up with daily clean up and keeping the house livable for us. And finally, everything was completed a full week ahead of schedule!!! That is unheard of in my experience! Though I know they had other projects going, we never felt like we were not getting their full attention. And we never felt like they were rushing through just to meet a deadline. We could not be more proud of the finished product or more impressed with Gill Construction! We truly have a transformed home with beautiful, high quality, unique ,custom features that absolutely exceeded our expectations. Jerry and Mickey were involved every step of the way and have a true commitment to customer satisfaction. There is no question where we will turn for any future home projects. (I won't waste my time trying to get bids from any others.) If you are looking for a reputable, trustworthy, and price competitive contractor, do yourself a favor and give them a call! These guys will do it right! I would definitely add a few +++ to that overall A rating!!

I initially visited with Jerry at Gill construction to discuss what I wanted done. Within a few days, he came out and inspected the roof on my patio and we discussed the approach, time-frame and expected costs. All were perfectly reasonable. The work was completed well within the discussed time frame and Jerry came out to take a look at the finished product before collecting the balance of the payment. This was a very small job compared to what they usually do, but, they were willing [and obviously capable] of doing a nice job. The work was completed quickly, completely and without incident. They did exactly what they said they would do, cleaned up when they were done, gave me a complete summary of the work completed and discussed a few other things they spotted around my house while they were there working. My only real complaint, and this is fairly minor, is that I was not contacted before the employees actually arrived to do the work. I did not explicitly ask to be contacted so that I could be present while the work was done, the area that needed work was easily accessible to anyone and so it did not require my presence. In my initial discussion with Jerry, we talked about the scale of this job being conducive to his people coming by when they had time and given the ease of access, it was a lot easier to just let them schedule it at their convenience. I would not hesitate to call Jerry at Gill construction for future projects -- minor or major.

Contact and communication was excellent. We had bad weather during this period but no delay in the service they provided. Arrived on time, did the exact work we agreed upon and cleaned up afterwards. I have recommended them to our neighbors and have a few other projects that I will have them complete also.

Pendant lights were installed perfectly. Electrician did an excellent job. Crown molding and fireplace mantel (custom built) look great. I had to do some minor touch ups using stain to cover wood filler and some corners, but overall, great job. Picture windows installed were completed in a professional manner, no issues, looks great. I would definitely use Gill Construction again. Also, a special thanks to Micky Hutson, sales representative for Gill Construction. Micky was always available and responded well to any questions or concerns that I had during and after the construction process.

We decided to wait until spring to have more estimates done as the previous ones had expired and winter weather could be a problem at this time. We felt like the estimate from Gill was too high to do the work at this time.

I would like to have used Gill Construction because of their good reviews on Angie's list but apparently his concrete man was too busy and did not want my business.

From my first phone call to the completed job I was totally satisfied. I was given a reasonable quote, with top quality installational of the best material. I am very pleased.

All the Gill employees were polite and helpful. I was unsure whether it was best to tear my old sun room down completely or use the existing frame. They helped me think through all the possible options and come up with the best plan for my budget. It looks very nice. The old sun room was very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It is going to be much more comfortable now with the wonderful double pane windows and insulation between the roof and ceiling. I would not hesitate to recommend Gill Construction to my friends and I will call them again in the future for my next project.

Everything went very well. The windows fit perfectly. They were prompt and efficient. Went above and beyond to clean up after themselves.

We appreciate honest people doing quality work, and that is the impression we had from Gill Construction even though we have not had work done. Our project was put on hold, so we do not know who we will use. But Gill Construction is definitely someone we will contact for pricing.

After purchasing a home, we wanted to do some extensive remodeling and were looking for an excellent contractor to do the work. We contacted Gill Construction on the recommendation of the former homeowner, who had hired them to do a master bathroom remodel several years before. Brian from Gill came out within the week to walk through and discuss the many projects we wanted to tackle (a kitchen renovation, guest bath renovation, laundry room renovation, adding a new tub to the master bath, installing pocket doors, and making numerous smaller upgrades throughout the house including replacing tile floors, refacing a fireplace, repainting interiors and exteriors, etc.). We really enjoyed talking with Brian and were excited to find that he had done the previous bathroom reno and was familiar with the house. He told us he was pretty busy but would get us a quote in a few days. A week went by. Then another week. The third week we called to check in and he said he'd had the flu but would get us a quote for the important stuff soon. Given that we weren't sure what the important stuff was, we were curious what the quote would include. A day or two later, he crammed a handwritten piece of paper into the mailbox with nothing more than a few words scribbled on it and a total for adding the bathtub in the master bath: $11,500. For WHAT exactly? We had no idea how the job could cost that much. And the bathtub addition was the lowest on our list of priorities. We waited for more info to come from him, but --- silence. So, we reached out to him and Gill, but didn't hear back. We assumed it was the flu. Weeks passed. Then months. In the new year, we called Gill's main line again, as we really had heard great things about them and wanted to get more quotes. (Finding great contractors in Lubbock is actually quite a challenge!) Whoever we spoke with apologized that the ball had been dropped and said someone would come out to give us a fresh quote on all of the work. Who showed up? Brian. We brushed the past under the rug and figured he'd been swamped. A fresh start was what we needed. So -- once again he walked through the entire house with us, dutifully cataloging all the work we wanted to do, once again offering suggestions and being super helpful. Once again he said he would get us a quote soon. Within the week. We had really enjoyed talking with him, and that seemed super mutual, so we were excited to finally get some numbers from them. But once again, crickets. We literally never heard from anyone at Gill again. We called and left a message with Brian and with Gill. No one responded. It makes no sense. It's a big job, and a good job -- not complicated or hard, just lots of work… So, why a construction company specializing in remodels would not want that work is beyond me. We're really disappointed, because the quality of the previous improvements they made in the bath looks solid. But trusting them with being responsive seems a very unwise choice. It's baffling, and it's really bad for business.

He was very professional, knew what he was doing, delivered on time what he promised at the cost he promised. I got three bids and he was the lowest.

I live in a sandy area so you don’t really see the sand or the oil but now when you wash it up it comes off clean and doesn’t sink into the concrete. He also moved some stuff out of the garage, (2 refrigerators etc). 2 day process. He cleaned out the garage as well by putting everything in storage bags and boxes and then he put them back when it was all finished. He worked into the night, almost midnight when he finished. He was excellent.

Both bathroom were reconstructed completely within budget and on time for our daughters and their families to visit for the holidays. We were grateful for the communication about details and quality of the construction.

We totally had our whole bathroom redone. Bob, the project manager, was very organized. The subs he used were terrific. The project was actually started and finished on the time frame we agreed upon. They may not be the cheapest contractors in town, but there is real value in avoiding the drama and anguish that you hear about on so many remodeling jobs.
