Excellent Landscape & Fence

1. There was no discussion of payment prior to starting. At the end of the day, after he had ripped out my fence, a trellis covered with bushes and substantial other landscaping, he then told me that the way he worked was 1/3 on to start the job, 1/3 when he poured the concrete footing and 1/3 upon completion. What was I to do at that point but to let him proceed. 2. He removed a trellis that I had just had rebuilt and the bush that was covering it. He said "oh, I'm sorry" He also destroyed several other plants due to a total lack of paying attention. One of his workers destroyed one plant after I had complained by trying to step over the 4 foot bush (instead of stepping around it) and broke it in half. There were four plants that would cost $600 to replace and he only said "I'm sorry". He refused to do anything about it and we have a signed agreement which didn't discuss damage to my landscaping. 3. I was leaving on vacation and gave him the date of departure. There were several days that didn't arrive to work until 10am and on a Saturday before I was to leave left by 2:00pm. He didn't finish the job before I left but still have the audacity to ask for more money. I am uncertain that the materials he used were top grade materials. Even though he makes a great fence gate and was cheaper that other bids, I would never use him or recommend him to anyone. Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware)

Their were few areas that had cracks that I was not happy about. And, he left a huge mess in my neighbor's yard. Although, overall I was happy with the fence.

I chose 3 fence builders from Angie's list to estimate a new fence. Dan, came out and met with me gave me an estimate. His estimate was 100 less than the 2 other estimates I received for the same type of fence.. We agreed on a approximate time to do the work. He called me a day before to remind me he was coming. He did a fantastic job. When they were finished they even hauled away the old fence without charge, The other fence builders wanted to charge me an additional fee. Our fence is the best looking fence on the block. Many people have commented on the quality job I received. I highly recommend Dan's company. Like the name says, if you use them you will truly get an "Excellent" fence!

Mr. Lopez came out and completed an estimate for the fence job. After reviewing his bid and others to compare, his was the best in quality and cost. I called him and he estimated about 1-2 weeks to begin. He called me about 6:30am on the next Monday morning that he could begin that day. He and a coworker took about 5-6 days to complete the work, about 3 days of working at my house and the others waiting for the concrete to cure. The work is spectacular and I've had so many compliments from all of my neighbors asking how they could get a fence like mine. The only issue I have is trying to put a lock on the back gate, so I need to call him to see what needs to be adjusted. Overall, he overdelivered on his work and I'm very happy with my new fence. It's the best one in the alley and the best looking front gate down the block!

They had the most reasonable bid. They were always available whenever I called. They were very professional and prompt. They worked like crazy until it was finished.
