Description of Work: Crockett Drum Heating and Plumbing did the plumbing and the HVAC system on my home along with installing all of the sinks, bathtubs, and kitchen et al fixtures in the home. Mr. Drum is very good at taking monies and not providing services in turn. He loves to promise the "moon" and the "sun" and cannot even deliver the stars. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Like people are usually attracted to like individuals." Tom Mullen, subcontracted Crockett Drum company to take care of this very large project. My feeling is that he would have picked this "sort of semi qualified" plumber to do this extensive project is because a. no one else would work with him due to his poor reputation and poor treatment of sub contractors and untimely manner of payments to them for jobs completed. b. Crockett Drum was the only plumber available because all other plumbers were busy and did not wish to be involved with Tom Mullen. c. Strangely, nearly the entire Drum family is in the heating and plumbing / HVAC business and his brother Terry Drum has a far superior reputation than Crockett Drum and Tom Mullen was not able to get him involved in this very large and complicated and lucrative project. This was asked of Tom Mullen and his answer "was well they are all the same." Well its safe to say one Drum brother is not the same as the other. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crockett Drum did not plumb the house properly. The hot water heater pump is too small for the bathrooms it services., there are nine bathrooms in this home. The hot water heater pumps also need to supply all the water to the kitchen, utility room, washer and dryer et al and the pump he installed simply "cannot handle the job." Apparently, still years later, we have had to have work corrected with newer pumps and a timer system to be installed to help cut down on the wear and tear of using a heating element and pump that is not needed to be on 24 hours a day. He paid no attention to the HVAC and plumbing design this home required. He was simply too preoccupied at getting paid and did not really care if the job got done or not. He left menial laborers who had minimal knowledge if any of plumbing, HVAC systems (he paid them barely $ 8.00/hour) to complete a 10,000 square foot home with no less than 9 bathrooms. He did not hook up the plumbing or the sealant to the bathroom in the basement and this caused a very smelly situation to say the least. He did not install reverse osmosis water systems as asked and paid for, he did not install a water softener system as asked and paid for. He basically never showed up on the job site and collected monies for poor work. Tom Mullen also took his 10 percent cut off of Crockett Drum's work stating it was state of the art work and the plumbing was certified as good and workable. The first thanksgiving in my home 11/2007 all the toilets leaked and after Crockett Drum was called about it he replaced some of the leaky valves, he missed all the valves in the basement, when I called him back to review this, he stated "you did not say they all leaked, and I was going to wait until they leaked to replace them." (please see scanned addendum of Tom Mullen's deposition taken under oath that goes his thoughts and opinions about leaks and whether they should be repaired or not. "the jist of it, well if it is a small hidden slow leak it can be left alone and fixed when it really leaks." Please don't hire either of them to take of your precious homes, "humble abodes, " your dwellings where you feel safe with yourself and your families, children, pets etc. ) . A slow leak is acceptable to Tom Mullen and Crockett Drum Plumbing services, until of course it becomes a large leak, at which point they probably count on your homeowner's insurance, if your are insured to pay for it. Please don't think that running hot water is something you should want or expect in 21 st century United States of America, because to these individuals even if you pay for it , it is "luxury" item to be delivered only if they "feel like it. " Even "occupy city residents," get better than this. They are both shameful individuals and organizations,. Do not ever use them. The disastrous job that Crockett Drum did landed him in a lawsuit with me and he did have to hire an attorney for his portion in faults and defects with the home as it pertained to the Plumbing. I am not sure if Tom Mullen paid him in full or not but I can assure you I was billed and paid Tom Mullen. He was released from the lawsuit when the lawsuit between the builder and I was setteled. However, again no cofidentiality agreement signed so the anyone who choses to review this and know "what they are in for can do it. Please do not use Crockett Drum Plumbing and HVAC, unless you want wet leaky bathrooms and the smell of sewage in your home and hot water, only when the stars and moon maybe aligned right and the circulating system works. Please don't want a water softener. Please don't even think of reverse osmosis water. Please don't wish for or want filtered water, this is reserved for only the people that live in other planets, according to the work history of these two pitiful, pitiful individuals. I have finally enlisted qualified plumbers et al and fixed the problems which were all due to lack of knowledge and negligence and laziness on the part of Crockett Drum and Tom Mullen (after all he was the general contractor and the builder on the home. ) You are only as good as your team. Run for your life as fast as you can from these constellation of team members. Run for your life and go to anyone else that can give you running hot water, non leaky faucets, and toilets and non smelly sewage disposal.
