+ -1 moreTheir crew was very helpful in getting us moved to our new house. They even moved some things that were not packed properly, and while they said they couldn't guarantee the unpacked items, they were very careful and everything made the trip undamaged. Would use them again and will recommend them to my parents for an upcoming move.

Description of Work: They successfully moved a fire proof filing cabinet, fully loaded, from one room to another room in the same house. They came on time and were quite efficient. Were careful of tile and carpeted flooring, polite and helpful in every way. Would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: 2 PODS were delivered to their parking lot where they were loaded into Cowling trucks then came to residence to pick up remaining household goods. They were finished before noon and met us the next morning at our new home 350 miles away. They were very professional but also friendly. Would recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Loaded and moved us about 26 miles. Showed up on time, worked hard, hauled a trailer load. We could have used a larger trailer, as quite a few items had to stay behind for me to haul later. But the two guys worked hard and put in a long, long day.

+ -1 moreByron Cowling had two men come to our home first thing in the morning. They were on time and worked quickly. They were able to get all that we needed them to in one load. They were finished by 4:00 or 5:00 that evening, but we didn't have very far to move. The only complaint we had was that they hooked our washer up wrong so I would double chech that, but otherwise we had no problems with them. They even went out of their way to help us get our refrigerator to fit in it's place when it was too tall.
Description of Work: We moved out of a 3400 square foot house and they loaded, moved, and unloaded all of our heavy furniture. We didn't have them pack boxes, but they also moved some of the boxes that we had packed.

+ -1 moreThey arrived a little late (15 minutes) but were very courteous and fast. Nothing was damaged, and their price was better than others I'd called, and they take credit cards. Easiest move I've ever done. I would definitely call them again.
Description of Work: They moved my 2 bed/2bath apt. in under two hours. The heaviest items were a china cabinet, a trunk, a dining room table and 6 chairs, and several boxes of kitchen ware.

+ -1 moreStarted out well. Ended horribly. BC was not prepared and did not step up to the plate to fix a move gone bad.
Description of Work: Moving from a 2400 sq foot home to storeage and a second moved into a home 40 days later 15 miles away.They only had two men for the first move. Both were nice and polite. We started 8am and ended way after 11pm. One of the movers threw up on our childs headboard. Continue to throw up. No one offer to have it cleaned just wiped it off. Ruined our armoire but blamed us. Stratched many of our furniture pieces, including an antique piano... only offered to fix one peice. Placed heavy boxes on our leather couch that now has permanent indentions. Said it wan my fault b/c I failed to tell them it was leather. We helped move our things as well due to the two movers were worn out. By the night they were just carelessly unloading our things into storeage. Both Mr. & Mrs. Cowling were rude and didn't not want to admit they should have called for more help. At the end of the fist move we were told Mr. Cowling would call us. After a week went by we started calling him. It took a couple of weeks to finally get to speak to him. This continued until after our second move. The movers that moved us from storeage to our new home were verbally rude, disrespectful and had an attitude. Clearly coached.

+ -1 moreTwo gentlemen came over to do the moving; one older guy and one younger guy. The experience was very good. The guys were extremely polite. They were very careful in getting things into the house and they tried not to hit anything. They did a nice job. They got here a few minutes early as opposed to being late. We had them contracted from 8 to 10. They worked right up till 10. There was still a little bit in the truck, but not enough to be worth another hour so we told them that we would get the rest of it. They did everything they could to help us out in any way they could. We couldn't have asked for a better couple of guys.
Description of Work: We used Byron Cowling Moving & Self Storage. They helped us move the stuff into the house.

+ -1 moreCalled at last minute and they were able to schedule us in. Moved during the hottest part of the day. They were on time and completed job with in the time period quoted. Did not have much to move but it was large furniture and bedroom pieces. They took great care when moving these pieces. Price was similar to other places we called. Would use them again.

+ -1 moreThey were on time, had the right equipment, were professional, and didn't waste any time. It took them a little over 2 hours to move all of the big furniture (they did not move or pack the kitchen, clothes, towels, etc). The price listed includes the tip we gave. The only negative thing I can say is that we have since found a few minor scratches on furniture (that they probably didn't know about and were not bad enough to contact the company), and they broke a piece off of our toddlers play kitchen (which the movers probably did know about, but didn't mention- again, not a big enough deal to contact the company). Hopefully we won't be moving again locally any time soon, but if we do, I would use them again.
Description of Work: They helped us move our heavy furniture in a local move (a few blocks down the street).

+ -1 moreGood moving company overall. I had 2 movers, they were very punctual. I expressed that I wanted to be under the 2 hour limit and they made a great effort to honor my request. They did not take any breaks, which saves me money. The only complaint that I have is that one of the movers seemed more inexperienced. He tried to drag my mattress and box springs when trying to move them, good thing I was keeping an eye out. Overall a good experience and would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Moving from apartment to a house within the city. 2 movers/2 hour minimum @ $80 per hour
