They took time to explain exactly what they were doing during each step of the inspection. Explained everything in detail both the good findings and the bad. Provided A complete report explaining everything and when I did not understand something I was able to call them and they walked me thru where that particular issue was and reminded me of the conversation we had about it at the time. They really went the extra mile.

They were prompt, professional and available to answer any questions. Very pleased with service.

My family and I are incredibly grateful to Robert and Edie Sherwood. We got wrapped up with a bad builder that was doing a terrible job on our new construction house being built outside of city limits, in the words of the architect that later looked at it "this isn't cracks in the Sheetrock bad this is house falls down on your family bad". Area wide inspections caught this work and advised us to put a hold on work until it was straightened out. After this was straightened out they stayed with us through the whole process in an inspectors capacity and an advisers. I have never had service like Area Wide provided in my entire life. They truly treated us like family and saved us from financial hardship and possibly even physical harm. The most incredible thing about it is they provide this service for just a few hundred dollars. I just want to say to people like myself I don't care how smart and observant you think you are hire these folks to watch over any construction project you might have they will make sure it gets done right and the cost of these inspections is peanuts compared to the construction.

Nice thorough inspection. We have used several companies in the past and Area Wide is by far the best. Scheduling was very easy and they were on time and professional. Many companies are in and out leaving a mess and cracks in your ceiling. Area wide took extra care with our home. We will use them for every inspection.

Area Wide walked me through the entire inspection with the exception of the attic. E-mailed me pictures and explanations of all aspects of the inspection. I would use them again. Very professional.

I highly recommend Area Wide Inspections. They did an extremely thorough inspection (which resulted in a 36-page report!) of a house I purchased. They knew I was on an extremely tight schedule due to an evil bank listing the property, so they did the inspection and wrote up the report IN ONE DAY. They even answered some questions I had on a Saturday. They were so helpful, so thorough--I was very impressed with them and would use them again in a heartbeat. I think it's especially cool that one of the co-owners is a building inspector for the City of Lubbock--all day long he looks at houses and inspects them, so he's got a treasure trove of experience. Extremely satisfied.

They are absolutely wonderful, punctual, thorough, and very nice. They did an amazing job when they gave me the inspection. They were organized and did a great job overall.

They were extremely helpful and informative about what was a problem, what was potentially a problem, and what was more easily fixed. Their report was clear and contained photos and a narrative statement and description of the issues of the house, and then a summary in back of the report. They were friendly, professional, punctual, and reasonably priced (according to estimates I found in books about "how to buy a House"). I would recommend them without reservation to anyone wanting a quality home inspection and wanting to understand more about their house.

Overall, it went well. Arrived as promised and did an excellent inspection. Might even classify his style as "picky".
