About us

We have been in business for 12 years. We have 25 employees in the company, and we have 4 sub-contractors. We offer free estimates. We also have a showroom in order to see the different types of wall textures and also a place to sit and choose colors, and discuss with Alex what type of work you would like to have done.

Description of Work: Installed new wood look ceramic tile in all areas of home expect the 3 bedrooms. Arrived on time each morning and finished job ahead of projected |time frame. Floors look great! Would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They installed laminate flooring that I had already purchased. Their office returned my call very quickly and we set up a time for the flooring man to come by. He wasn't there at the assigned time so I called and he had gotten busy and forgot. He got there within 30 minutes and got the estimate ready. I agreed to the estimate if they would come the next day and get it done. They got there on time with 4 guys to do the work. They were very nice and polite. They got the job done and cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with their service and work.

The company was quick to respond to my request. We set up a time when the flooring guy would come by. After waiting 30 minutes after the set time, I called and she contacted the guy that was supposed to come by. He got there in about 30 minutes...so about an hour after the designated time. That was OK because I was going to be home anyway. He looked at the job and said they would send an estimate, which I got within minutes. I thought it was a little high, but really wanted the job done. I told them if they could come the next day, I would agree. The next day 4 workers came at the designated time and immediately got to work. They finished the job the same day. There are a couple of places that could look better, but they were using my materials, so not sure that was their fault. The workers were very nice and polite and cleaned up after themselves. I would be glad to use this company again for work to be done around the house. They paint, remodel, do flooring and other things. I'll be sure to call them about my next project.

It was a good experience. They were easy to work with and the quality of their work was good. I have not gotten the quote from them for the remodel project yet but their pricing for framing the walls was reasonable.
Description of Work: The last time that I was in contact with A & J Painting Services was probably like three weeks ago for quoting some stuff for me for a bathroom remodel project. They also framed some walls for me in a different house.

this was not our customer the owner of a & j painting alex Moreno personally went to visit with patricia and at that time she realized that we were not the painting company that she had originally contacted. even thou after talking to alex patricia wished she had hired us to do the work for her. so hopefully in the future she will call on us.

I am writing this for my dad who doesn't have a computer. He had his 1970's bathroom completely remodeled. A new bathtub with shower, new toilet, and granite counter were installed. Popcorn on the ceiling and paneling were removed. In addition, a new tile floor was installed. This job was done in Lamesa which made it more difficult to get small items that were needed. Alex and his crew were always prompt and delivered a great remodel. The only problem is that this makes the rest of the house look bad in comparison. He tried to stay within the quoted budget. We would recommend him for future jobs.

I would give the job a B+.
Description of Work: I completely remodeled my bathroom. Nothing was moved to a different location; however, everything was updated. I now have textured/painted walls, granite countertops, new drawers, new tub, toilet, & shower, new light fixtures, new plumbing fixtures, and new doors. We also had the popcorn ceiling removed in the bedroom and bathroom and crown molding/base boards added to the bedroom. If I had this to do over, I would definitely get more bids. Originally, I was not going to completely redo my bathroom, but as we progressed through the remodel, I started adding items to the list. Alex, the owner, turned the job over to the tile man, Dominic. He did a good job and was great to work with. However, some things could have been done better. The texture on the walls, after the wallpaper was taken down, was very uneven. I had to call Alex numerous times to get various things redone. I really don't think I should have had to do this. A professional should take care of this without the owner having to follow up. I paid for numerous things (lights, tub, shower door, plumbing fixtures, door knobs/hinges, toilet) myself so the complete job was closer to $20,000. The one thing I wish I could change is the shower floor. We used ceramic tile for the floor and the slant is so severe that it makes my feet ache after each shower.

He was a "licensed' painter recommended by the Behr paint rep. He came to give us an estimate on an interior paint job to rectify bad paint. He took a built in drawer and had it more than six weeks. We contacted him every week to request that it be returned and finally had to pick it up. He never performed the "tests" on it he stated would that were supposed to confirm the source of the paint problem.

in response to this review given to us. we were contacted by a rep from behr paint to take a look at the customers cabinets since the customer thought it was a product defect, so we did and the customer is stating that it was our fault that the cabinets did not get fixed and that is not correct. yes we held onto his drawer for a good while, due to the fact that behr paint did not want to pay us to do the work. and it ended up not even being the product issue. it was the customers issue , due to the fact that they did not sand and prep the cabinets correctly prior to putting new paint on. and the new paint they put on did peel right off. and we were not going to do a job for the customer since we did not have the ok from behr paint that they would pay for the labor and materials. if behr paint would have agreed to do that then we would of been more then happy to do the work for the customer.
