+ -1 moreThis is an amended . Make sure you keep receipts...and have them sign off that you actually paid the bill!!!!! We are changing our opinion and for great reason. The pool was complete, and to our satisfaction. Jim and his wife were very nice. ACCORDING to the 3 men that showed up at my door about 6 months later, blue moon pools, skipped out on paying this sub contractor. They demanded $5000.00 from me or threatened to lien my home and property! I have no clue if they paid or not but the men at my door were the men that did the work. The owner of the plaster business, Mr. Castillo, had the other 2 men come along in hopes that I would recognize them as the men that did the actual work. My receipts showed that I contracted blue moon pools. It also showed that I paid in full! Mr Castillo threatened to sue and lien my property. Fortunately, I knew my rights and had the proper documents. Keep excellent records.
Description of Work: Our 35,000 gallon pool was a hopeless mess. Last summer's draught caused major structural cracks, black algae, buckling of tiles and coping. It was so bad, we actually considered having it filled in. Our pool was completely resurfaced with a top quality product as though it was a new construction. Tiles, grout, concrete, coping, old plaster, and flex seal were all removed, sand blasted and acid washed before new products were installed. All lighting, plumbing nozzles and skimmer parts were replaced, and sand filter changed. We were also provided with all the chemicals needed to restart and maintain for the summer.
