Robert Reyna (the owner of the company) provided me with a quote for the work requested. As I had already spent a considerable sum remodeling another portion of my house, I was well aware of the costs for such services in my area. Therefore, I was shocked to receive Mr. Reyna's bid for these services -- $14,500 for tear down and sheet rocking and $8,750 just for framing! When I tried to explain to Mr. Reyna that I had just finished adding two new rooms to my house (attic and all) for less than $7,000 in framing costs, he tried to argue that the framing cost or and quot;old constructionand quot; is higher than the framing cost for and quot;new constructionand quot; (which is completely false -- I have since confirmed with at least three other framers that this is not true). After going round and round with him on the ridiculousness of his quote, we eventually agreed to scuttle the whole deal. The following morning, with no prompting by me, Mr. Reyna reached out to me to inform me that he had secured a commitment from another framer to do the work for $7,000, while he (Mr. Reyna) would lower his cost to $13,000 (making the total $20,000 for the entire project). Within a few minutes thereafter, he sent me another text (again, unprompted by me) informing me that he was willing to lower his cost by another $1,000 (making the total $19,000). After further back and forth, we finally agreed that I would accept Mr. Reyna's bid if he used the original framer and brought down the framing cost to $7,750. Mr. Reyna agreed, and sent me a revised quote. However, in the revised quote, Mr. Reyna again raised his price to $13,500 (making the total $21,250)! When I called him to explain that he had increased his side of the quote after agreeing to do the tear down and sheetrocking for $12,000, he became irate on the phone, told me that the deal was off and that he and quot;didn't need the workand quot; (intimating that he had plenty of wealthy customers in Westlake and Rollingwood who were willing to pay his ridiculous prices), and then hung up on me mid-sentence. When I politely asked him for the name and number of the original framer, he shot back that he had informed the framer of our conversation and that the framer would only work with him. He then began bombarding me with texts, accusing me of being and quot;a typical Hispanic that gets an education and wants to keep another from making a living, and quot; claiming that the work on the other portion of my house and quot;looked like s***,and quot; that he was and quot;used to higher standards, and quot;and that the finish on my other rooms was and quot;mid to upper grade apartment finishand quot; at best. When I asked him to show me pictures of his work for comparative purposes, he stated that he and quot;never take[s] pics, and quot; but continued taunting me by saying that I would have been impressed with his work and the work of his framer. When I tried to explain that I was still willing to move forward at the agreed upon price, he simply stopped returning my texts and calls. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in all my life. If I could have given him a grade lower than and quot;F,and quot; I would have.
Description of Work: I asked the owner, Robert Reyna, to give me a quote on labor for tearing down, framing and sheetrocking two bedrooms in my house. I had already arranged with other subcontractors to do the electrical, plumbing, flooring, tile work, shower installation and cabinets.

Response from REYNA DRYWALL & PAINT
To anyone that sees this review every story has 2 sides. (Member name removed) is only upset because I refused service on his home. I felt if we were having a very difficult time coming to an agreement on pricing then how would it pan out if I actually would have done work on his home. I feel if a customer has the right not to choose a contractor then a contractor has a right not to choose the customer. The pricing was fair , I've never had any issues with anyone on pricing but sometimes that happens when maybe the customer has had a bad experience with another contractor. The next contractor always gets the bad end. I felt it was a good decision for me and my family.I felt that there had to be reason why the prior contractor was no longer there. Thank you

They were here on the date we set to start and worked from 8 - 5 everyday, including Saturday to get it all done in time to coordinate for carpet installation. Perfessional and courteous workers. Did a fantastic job. I am really happy with it. Robert the owner was here regularly to check on his people and bring paint and materials. Also communicated well with me so that I knew what was taking place ,etc. Am very pleased with the work done!! :) However, as I was putting things back in order - - discovered that I was missing some jewelry. Since this was good jewelry - sterling silver, I contacted Robert and told him about it. I asked him to contact the carpet sub-contractor and let them know about it and do some investigating.. He was to do that and get back to me, but sad to say he has not called me back. Such a shame that one person can ruin all the nice work by stealing. Cannot say that it was any of Robert's people cause the carpet guys were there too! So you really don't know who you can trust these days.
Description of Work: Scaped popcorn ceilings, taped and floated, stippled, painted. Put in window stool in master bed room and bath dressing area. Patched cracks, etc. Put crown molding in living area and painted. Also replaced section of floor under toliet in master bath and replaced toliet with new one. House is pier and beam.

We are very pleased with the results. We recently bought our house and the color was an ugly peach and had diagonal facade design which really dated it. Robert and team removed the ugly wood and replaced it with Hardi-Plank, removed and replaced some rotten wood on the side of the house, re-caulked and prepped the house, added a splash piece of wood to the sides, power washed the house and driveway, and then painted. The team protected all non-paint areas and cleaned up the work space every day. The job was completed faster than estimated and we, and our neighbors, love the new look.
Description of Work: We had the exterior of our house painted, rotten wood replaced and removed, and had some facade changes near the front door updated from the 80's vibe.

The team from Reyna Drywall and Paint were very professional and did an excellent job. They arrived when they said they would, prepped and protected all the non-paint areas, and matched up the texture on the other walls perfectly. They project lasted several days as we had a lot of work to do, and they made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. I also received a report every day of where they were in their project and what the next steps were. This was especially helpful as we had different construction teams working on the house. They were very professional, efficient and did a great job, plus they were very nice. We will be doing some outside house painting soon and I will definitely call them.
Description of Work: We have been doing major living room remodeling on our 1980's house. One of the projects was to do drywall repair after removing a huge brick fireplace. We also had the acoustic or "popcorn" ceilings removed in the living room, kitchen, dining room and hallways, along with repainting. The overall project included removing a chimney, fixing the roof, and adding wood floors.
