Description of Work: The garage door cable had broken causing the door to come off track in the fully open position. This happened at 7:00am on a Saturday morning. I called Garage Door Solutions around 8:00am requesting repair. They arrived in about an hour and replaced the cable, all the rollers (at my request), and serviced the rest of the system. The garage door has worked perfectly since the repair. Salvador Bazaldua, owner, also noted the garage door seal was the incorrect length and measured to determine the correct size. He stated the seal would have to be ordered and I would be contacted when it could be installed.

The garage door is now working alot smoother, alot less noise. We are happy with the job. the technician was very imformative about how to care for the garage door and maintaince recommended. Description of Work: I called Garage Door Solutions (210-775-1897) about ten days ago for a repair quotation on repairing one wooden garage door that was beginning to rot at the bottom after 30 years. I saw his company's advertisement in the AT&T Yellow Pages. I know from personal experience that the cost of these ads are several thousand dollars per month. Sal came to my house and gave me a quote, and then, without pressuring me, offered to either replace one or both doors. He said that he would have to check the prices for both doors, and he returned my call the same day with the new price quotation. I also checked Angie's List, but saw that his company was unrated. A couple of days later I spoke to another company, and they had a higher price. I checked at Lowe's, thinking that maybe I would try to replace the doors myself. I have a suggestion -- don't even think about it. I liked Sal's professionalism, so I decided to give him a try. I called Sal back (a family owned and operated business). He made an appointment and arrived promptly at 9:00 am. I was the one who was late, as I had run to the store. (But, it was only about 3 minutes.) I watched Sal and his helper do the replacement work. They were fast, efficient, and I am very happy. They have the tools needed and the experience. He explained about the need to replace certain parts, the metal pipe above the doors were bent. There were no extra charges, and he did not charge for hauling away my old garage doors. The price was exactly the amount of his original quotation. The total work time was 3 hours and 15 minutes. I now have steel, insulated garage doors that look great, certainly much better that the previous doors. I have learned that there is more to replacing garage doors than replacing the door on a kitchen cabinet. Give Sal a call. You won't be disappointed.
