It did not meet expectations. While Jake is a personable guy, he's just the sales 'front end' for this company. Once he sells you a roof, his 'cast of characters' appears and actually does the real work. Their trucks leak oil onto the street in front of your house and stain the pavement.. They will actually pull their trucks into your yard and drive onto your lawn, without asking you first, which is something no other roofing company seems to do. This introduces the risk of sprinkler system damage that they will then disown and say is not their problem. These guys also drove a nail into the HVAC lines, which released pressure and is obvious at the time of the puncture due to the high pressure release, but they didn't say anything to us and allowed us to figure this out when it was in the 90 degree temp range and our A/C wasn't working. Very unprofessional. Watch out for his recommendation of "Malarkey" shingles - these are fine if you live in Chicago or north of there, but these shignles will bubble and break down in this TX climate. Check out the info on the web if you want more info, nobody uses these in TX. I suspect it's because he can make more money using these shingles. The guys doing the work used this compressor to charge their air guns, and it kept mis-firing in terms of the motor. Not sure if this compromised the quality of the nails being driven into the roof (probably did), but it was just flat annoying to listen to. For Christ's sake, use some decent equipment when I am paying you $18K!!!! In short, I would not hire this company again. Too much of a headache, too many inconveniences, and too unprofessional in terms of the dudes that actually show up and do the work. Also, the owner is very arrogant, is not trustworthy, and is unstable in terms of how he responds to complaints.

I just purchased my home in May and 4 days after closing there was a huge hail storm which totaled my roof. I live out of town and wasn't going to move into the home for several months but needed to get the roof fixed. I met Lee Diehl of SF5 Roofing when he was providing an estimate for a neighbor. I asked him to look at my roof and he did so for free. He noted that there was damage and said I should contact my insurance agency. Because I live out of town, I couldn't meet the agent. Lee offered to help and was fantastic. He met with the insurance agency, provided roof diagrams and made sure I got the best adjustment. Afterwards, I asked Lee to do the work on the roof and paint the house. He coordinated everything with the housing association. He did a great job and used the highest quality materials for the roof. He also coordinated to get the house painted and when I noted a slight problem with the color, he fixed everything without charging me an extra dime. Communication between us was always good. I can highly recommend Lee Diehl and the pros at SF5 roofing.
