We did a year thing with them, but when the year was up they decided to go with just construction. I would consider using them if it was something they could do. I know they are not going to do the contracts again. I could call them out to do what they needed to do, but not a contract with them.
Description of Work: We had a hot water heater that we had to replace.

Everything about Holey Plumbing Co. seemed fishy. They are overpriced and they have no idea what they charge or why they charge it. The main office says they are a flat rate company but they don't know what their flat rates are without "The Book" which no one seems to know where the book is or what it says? The employees out in the field make up their own flat rates that are not the same as what the main office quotes. The Office says the cost of a pressure test is $626 without a Holey Care membership and $530 with one, however the guys out in the field quoted me $460 and I got charged $394.50...I know what you are thinking "what a deal!!!" I called a few other higher rated plumbing businesses and it costs them $120 to come do a pressure test. The permit is not included in the price of this quote but when I called the city to find out if Holey Plumbing had pulled a permit I found out one was never pulled. I have had multiple conversations with a few different people at Holey Plumbing Co. and no one can tell me what makes their pressure test $274.50 more expensive. You may be wondering why I used this company for a pressure test. Two reasons...They didn't tell me a pressure test cost anything until after the job was done and I didn't have Angie's List. I won't be using this company again.
Description of Work: Holey Plumbing came out to my house and did a pressure test on my gas line. My gas line did not pass the pressure test and so they bid me what a leak search and repair would cost.

We didn't want the new faucet sweated back on so that if it started leaking again in future we could screw it off and replace it since it is in the wall. I asked the owner why they sweated it back on. He said we put it back the way it was. I said how long will it be before this one starts leaking. He said this is a good one he said for 4 or 5 years. I said then if it starts leaking I have to pay someone to come fix it and knock the bricks again. He said it's a good one you shouldn't have any problems.
Description of Work: They came out to replace an outside faucet at my brick house. They had to remove two bricks to sweat off faucet that was leaking. My husband asked if that would cause the insulation to catch on fire since they were using a small torch to sweat off faucet. The man said I haven't caught one on fire yet. He paid the man and he left. My husband and his friend were working outside when they started smelling something burning and started trying to find out where it was coming from. They walked by the faucet and saw smoke coming out of the eave of the house where he replaced the faucet I forgot to mention that the plumber would not put the brick he removed back so there were still two holes beside the faucet My husband and his friend got the water hose and stuck it in the hole to put out fire. They called the fire department to check and make sure fire was out. We called up this plumbing service to report what had happened and request that they replace damaged insulation and put the bricks back. We got the run around and they acted like we were trying to pull something. After about a week or so the owner came out and stuffed a couple of handfuls of insulation in the wall and put the bricks back with some cement repair I had bought for this. The owner acted like it was no big deal. This fire happened on a Friday evening. If my husband and I would have out to eat after this our house would have burned down but that would have been no big deal right?

The tub was draining extremely slow, the toilet would flush but it would drain extremely slow, and the clothes washer would drain slow as well. After running the washer dirty water would come up in the tub. They came out and gave a free estimate the same day we called. Once they gave us the price and we agreed, they started the work. They ran a machine into the main line from the street access until they reached the house. After that, they tested the toilet and had us run the washer. The problem seemed better but the tub was still slow to drain. They said this may have been a separate issue that would be a separate charge. The next day we washed a load of clothes, and the water came up in the tub again. We called them and let them know the issue was not fixed. They came back out and ran a camera into the main line to see what was wrong and found a large clog stuck to the sides of the pipe. They ran a different machine into the main line to clean it out. They checked with the camera afterwards to make sure the clog was gone. The tub, toilet, and washer all worked perfectly after that. They did not charge to come back out the second time.
Description of Work: Cleaned a clog from the the main sewer line.

My husband was upset at the dug up yard. I called Holey Plumbing back to tell them another person said they didn't need to do what they did. So a manager or someone like that came over. He ran a plumber's snake through the line and filled in the mess from the two men. He tried to fix the problem. I asked this guy, if they (the two men) are plumbers, shouldn't they know about septic systems? And I thought the price was high.
Description of Work: Holey Plumbing came out to inspect a stopped up line. (We have a septic tank.) The two men went out to the yard and dug up the drain line. The septic tank was full.

It went very well. The plumber had been to the house before. He was honest and upfront with me that the faucet in the kitchen should be replaced, but fixed it so it would hold up for us a little longer. It is still holding up. He confirmed that the water heater plumbing was correct. He repaired the drain line for the sink, although it was challenging due to the fact that who ever had put it in did so too close to the wall. He also fixed the shower handles. The plumber was very nice and advised us on how to save money making repairs. If you want them fixed and replaced straight out, say so up front, otherwise he seemed to assume we just wanted band-aid type fixes. But we were very appreciative.
Description of Work: We had several little problems after first moving into our home. They came out to fix the faucet on the kitchen sink, repair a damaged bathroom sink drain and shower knobs that were leaking. They also checked the plumbing on the hot water heater to ensure that it was installed correctly.
