Gina Hamilton

We invited Regina to our home to introduce ourselves, have an opportunity to meet her and to discuss what we needed. Initially we were very pleased and asked her to help us with our housecleaning. My husband and I were involved in a very serious motor vehicle accident and haven't been able to take care of the responsabilities around our house. She was told about my chemical and light sensitivities before she was scheduled to start. On her first visit, she came with her own cleaning supplies, which was not necessary. She proceeded to bleach everything in my kitchen to the point that I had to open the back door. If that wasn't enough, she did the same thing to the power room. While she was still cleaning, I turned the bathroom fan on but that didn't put a stop to using more bleach. There was also a problem with her turning on lights without telling me, so I just put on my sunglasses. When she started dusting in the hallway, I was startled by a loud crash. She had moved a table in the entry without taking anything off of it. There was a hand painted ornament shattered on the flook behind the table. I also noticed both of the lamps lying on the floor. I stood in amazement. That table is heavy and to move it without taking everything off of it is beyond me. What we did not realize or were not told was that both of the lamps had been broken. We agreed that I would pay her at her next scheduled visit. She told me that she would reimburse me for the cost of the ornament when I replaced it. However, considering that I had recently purchased it and I still had the reciept, that was not acceptable to me. At her next visit we negotiated a price, she was paid, without one word about the lamps. At that time we hadn't realized that they were broken By the time she left, my eyes hurt and I had an intense headache. After she left I noticed that while she did dust, she only dusted around things. On her next visit I observed that she didn't take anything of table tops or shelves. We were hoping that she would be a trustworthy individual that we could have in our home long term. She had so many positive reviews on Angies List. However, after the situations we encountered, that was just not possible.

Let me begin by saying that there are two types of housekeepers, those who actually and quot; CLEANand quot; and those who only know how to and quot;straighten upand quot;. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's a few years ago and so when I began looking for a housekeeper I needed someone with a mature ability to come into my home and do whatever needed to be done without constant instruction. When I had seen that Gina had raised 12 children as a widow I knew that I had found the right person. When I called her and asked her to come to my home she immidiately responded to my invitation with professionalism and in a timely manner. The best way to describe Gina is to say that she is my Angel of Mercy. From day one she not only cleaned my home but cared for it as if it were her own. I love Gina as a true family member. Regarding her housekeeping abilities, if Gina sees something that needs to be done she simply does it. I have never had to ask her to do extra things around the house because she will already have things done without my requesting them to be done. Gina and I continually laugh because i tell her that she does not just fold the towels she actually sculpts them. I could swear that Gina had been in the military with the perfecton that she makes a bed. These all sound like things that she does to perfection and every bit is true however the best part about Gina is that she has a unique ability to see what needs to be done without being asked to do them and she accomplishes eveything with a hardworking and cheerful attitude.. Gina is one of the few housekeepers who if you find yourself so prvledged to be able to be one of her clients that you will do everything that you can to keep her. If you are looking for someone to come into your home to do a few basic cleaning chores and pay the minimum Gina is not for you. Gina is worth every cent that she charges. She is smart enough to charge what she needs ($25.00 an hour) in order not to spread herself to thin so that she is able to concentrate on each client individually and for that I am personably very grateful. It is my privlege to take this opportunity to write this review for Gina, a person who puts here heart and soul into her work Sometimes we never know just how much we need other caring people like Gina in our lives until we find ourelves in a position to prove that we do and with me it was my being diagnosed with Parkinson's, Christine

She is very through and does a great job. She does a great job without any instruction.

Gina is a dream. I just moved into my home and i am still unpacking. But you still need bathrooms and floors done. Gina showed up prepared to work and that she did. Not only did she perfectly clean and sanitize all three bathrooms she also made my hardwood and tile floors spotless and shiny and my carpets clean and refreshed. She moved every piece of furniture and vacuumed and mopped under it. She did not stop there. She tackled the kitchen counters and stove and dusted and polished all the furniture. And yes she did remove all decorative pieces and dust them and under them. I recommend her very highly. Gina is worth every penny you pay her. She charges a flat hourly rate and worth every penny. She will be cleaning my house every 2 weeks. Oh yes, she house sits and doggie sits also.

She charges $100 a week. She does a lot more than clean. She pretty much takes care of everything. She stays probably for 5 hours. Her hourly rate is $20 an hour. We don't know how we would live without her at this point.

We have Gina clean our house every week, and she is awesome - we've had her for about 2 years now. I run a software company and travel somewhere pretty much every week. My wife doesn't like cleaning too much. We have tried a bunch of professional cleaning services, but we also found that three girls turn up who speak little English and do an average job. Gina stays at our house for 5 to 6 hours each week. We often have parties with 50+ people over, overuse our BBQ, and she still gets it clean. Our house is like a service - it's awesome. I don't know how we'd live without her. Heck, I joined Angie's List in part just try to write a review about her. She may be a (recent) grandma, but her work ethic is d*** impressive.
