After doing an extensive research we called Andy of Dream Garage Specialist to come out and give us an estimate on the garage makeover project we were in need of. Andy came out the same day, took his time to explain our options to us, so we can make an educated decision, and took measurements. The next day we received an email from him that included his bid that detailed every type of job and the separate cost for each. Initially we were planning to use 3 different contractors: one to do the epoxy paint on the grarage floor, one for the general garage paint, and another contractor to build the storage cabinets and the workplace / office space in the garage. It turned out that Andy was specialazing in all those things which could help eliminate the need in other contractors, plus we were offered a nice discount on the copmplete project! Andy has a few teams that work for him, and by planning out the entire project he was able to create a job plan with firm dates and resposnibilities for each team (epoxy floors, paint, then cabinets installation). The bid Any was able to give us was very rfeasonable for a large scoop of work that needed to be done. Basically, we needed to turn the dark, dusty and neglected space previous homeowners called 'garage' into a brand new workspace, including office. Andy listened to all our wishes and plans, and gave us the complete blueprint that included EVERY SINGLE DETAIL that was on our list. He ended up coming out to our house 3 times to take additional measurements and change the initial blueprints as we changed some details along the way, before going into production. We werent charged one cent for his time that he spent driving to our house and going around taking measurements. The final plan had firm dates/deadlines in place for each part of the project to be completed. Andy and his office manager Susan are very easy to communicate with, and their responsivness deserves the highest grade. The finished project turned out beautiful. The garage looks amazing, and has planty of storage and workspace. We couldn't be happier with the results. If you are in need of a garage makeover, do not hesitate to call Andy. I began my garage makeover project storage solution to cover the side walls of my standard 2-car garage by looking for modular cabinets - there were many suppliers for these. Quotes were in the $6500-7000 range for the cheapest offerings of wood-walled cabinets (as opposed to various gauges of metal cabinets that were $1000's more). But I saw a neighbor's garage where Kevin Taylor of Dream Garage Specialists had built custom fit wood cabinets for one wall and was impressed. My neighbor's experience was positive, so I contacted Kevin who visited my home the same day I called to discuss the project. I learned that building custom would require less total wood (fewer individual cabinet pieces than modular components require, wood or metal), and I could get an exact fit to my particular garage wall needs (location of electrical panel, wall plugs, tire bump, overhead door tracks, etc.). Additionally, the custom fit solution required no and quot;feetand quot; holding up the front edge of the cabinets, as was needed for all the modular cabinets. This was important to me as I wanted a clean look, and an open floor underneath the cabinets so I could easily sweep or hose out the garage floor for clean up. He sent his initial CAD drawings to me via email with a quote based on our meeting. I visited his shop a few days later to interactively make adjustments to the CAD drawings on his computer, to get exactly what I wanted. The resulting quote received a day later was about a $1000 less than the modular component arrangements I had been looking at with other suppliers. Kevin explained that the CAD drawings in his computer generate detailed specs for the pool-table-sized CNC Router machine at his shop that cuts all the pieces out to spec, drilling holes for hinges, shelves, and all attachment locations. The result is a set of flat pieces much like you receive from an IKEA store that just need assembly (either in his shop, or at the job site). From the time I placed my order with a 50% payment, it would be two weeks for the cutting and prep work to occur, and Kevin's cabinet installers to arrive in my garage for installation. His team arrived on time, and spent the better part of two days assembling and then installing the cabinetry, as I had designed it. The installation went smoothly, and I was pleased with the result. There was only one minor hitch during installation - one of the base cabinets under my worktop area had a door hinged on the wrong side. Probably a result of incorrect assembly onsite as the CAD drawings showed it correctly, and the CNC Router had cut out the pieces correctly. But I let them finish the project as I was out of time on my rented PODS (holding all my garage junk) and did not want to hold up the assembly for another day or more to get a new base cabinet built. Instead, if the door bothered my very much, it could be replaced later. The finished job looks great, and has more than enough room for all my garage junk. Each shelf of each cabinet can hold 150 lbs which is more than I need.

The quality, professionalism and customer service of Dream Garage Specialist was top notch! I did a lot of research and comparisons choosing a company to do the epoxy flooring and cabinets in our garage. I selected DGS and was not disappointed. They are a family owned buisiness and they obvouisly take a lot of pride in what they do. My only complaint was that the installer of the cabinets did not aske me exactly where on the designated wall I wanted the bike racks installed. He was very kind in relocting the racks to where I wanted them, but now I'm left with holes to paint and patch. Other than that everything was perfect! I highly recommned them.

Excellent end is result; the before and after is impressive; high quality materials throughout; knowledgeable installation crews; responsive when asked to come to site for a design and bid; scheduling and communication was a periodic challenge as was punctuality; job was estimated at 7-10 days---it actually took 14 days, but the end product was worth it. We are a high-demand customer. You can probably get it done cheaper, but we were willing to spend the $ for the right result and we got what we asked for. We would use them again.

The workmen arrived on time were polite hard working and extremely efficient. The design for the cabinetry is functional not taking up too much space but still giving us plenty of storage space. The job only took one day and the entire garage was cleaned of all sawdust and wood scraps. The new garage interior looks fabulous was well.
