Description of Work: *Purchased coupon on 2/27 *Reached out to Wilson's on the week of 3/4 to set up walk-thru (appt scheduled for 3/15) *Walk-thru was completed as scheduled on 3/15 and was told that it would take two weeks before work could begin. Also told he would send a work estimate within a few days to review *Company estimate not received for another week...received on 3/21 *I responded on 3/22 saying that it looked good and how could I wrap up the final payment for supplies that they would need *Received Wilson's response on 3/25 that someone would get back to me with information being requested *No one ever responded so I emailed again on 4/4 *Received Wilson's response that I was scheduled for 4/11, weather permitting *I emailed Wilson's again on 4/10 to confirm 4/11 appt since it had rained earlier in the week *Received Wilson's response that they would get back to me the morning of the 11th to confirm if they'd be out that day *Never heard from them on the 11th so I sent another email asking for better communication and for a rescheduled date *Never heard back after leaving 3messages with their answering service on Friday the 12th *Received phone call from Wilson's Monday the 15th with John telling me that he thought that he had gotten back to me but that he didn't have any records and would call me back that night to confirm new date/time *Called answering service on 4/20 and left message that if we didn't hear back within the hour then we needed to cancel and receive refund *Contacted Angie's List directly after an hour after message had been left *AS OF 1130AM, MONDAY 4/22....WE HAVE YET TO HEAR BACK FROM WILSONS.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal on March 14th and received an email from Wilson's Landscaping on 3/14 thanking me for my purchase and asking what I wanted done. I responded to the email on 3/14 confirming the man hours purchased and requesting service the week of 3/25. On 3/15 they stated they would have a three man crew there on 3/27. I reponded accepting the date with the items I wanted completed. I purchased soil and other items and made arrangements for someone to be a my home on that date since I was working. I actually drove out of town to pick up my mother to be there. On the evening of 3/26, I received an email stating they could not come until the afternoon of 3/29. I didn't actually get into email until the morning of the 27th when they had not shown up. In addition I had decided to take the day off in case I need other supplies. I responded to the email that was unacceptable since I had taken off work and was scheduled to take my mother back home on 3/29 and the city was scheduled to pick up debris on the following Monday morning. I didn't receive a response, I sent a second email on 3/27 asking for a response to my first email. They responded that evening saying they could do the following week but I was out of town. I then sent an email asking if they could do it the following Friday and they stated they couldn't do it until April 29th or 30th. I planned to have my garden planted and had lined up others to assist which put me into May. I sent an email stating I couldn't wait that long and requested a refund. I received no response. I sent a second request and to date I have received no response from Wilson's Landscaping.

Description of Work: They missed a 3/9 appt. because of weather. I called on 3/18 & 19 and left my number for a return call, which I did not get. I emailed on 3/19 and "DJ" emailed back that day that he would call "later today" to discuss. DJ called on 3/22 to advise me that they could not be there the following week, but would call the following week. I have not spoken to them since then. If they are calling, they are not leaving a message for me.

Description of Work: I'm completely at a loss as to what to say here. I would love to write a review.....but i haven't heard back from the company after they'd asked for some information from me (which I sent their way back in January). I don't know if they ever received my information. I sent it on Jan 12 and again on the15th (the last communication I'd had with them). I didn't know how to answer the following questions: the overall experience (won't let me check N/A so I gave an F. N/A would be more applicable in this case); and the question regarding using the company again in the future. As to how much I spent - big deal fee of $99.

Description of Work: Bought a big deal for landscape assessment/analysis with plans in Dec, made appointment in March for March 26, took off half a day of work for appointment, no show/no call. Vendor apologized when contacted and offered to honor deal even after refund, but I prefer to work with another company.

Description of Work: After purchasing the Big Deal, I scheduled an appt. with DJ for 12/7 between 2-4 pm. Although I was out of town, I came to meet with him. DJ was a no-show. I emailed him to say I was very disappointed and was leaving town again the next morning. He came the next morning before I left. After several requests, I received a design on 1/9. Part of my email response follows: "I was a bit disappointed in the design as several items we discussed were missing or changed (including an entire section of land); and several of the plants selected were ones we had already discussed as not suitable for our property." I emailed to DJ very specific request for plants. Some emails he responded/some appeared to be overlooked. On 3/1 DJ emailed me a revised design. Part of my email response follows: "DJ - I understand your company does good work, however I have several concerns listed below. Please read the following email so that we can discuss. I am becoming irritated that my very detailed emails have not been read or considered as I find I am repeating the same concerns over and over again. We've been going back and forth now for several months and I find that I am saying almost the same thing in each email. I thought by now - it would be fairly clear what we need to do to proceed. However in reviewing the estimate I still see that no one in your company has taken the time to make the necessary changes. I am going to spell out some of the same issues/questions I've already mentioned. Please take the time to read closely, as I am repeating the same information I've shared in several previous emails." The next email I received from DJ he responded to some of my concerns and wiped out certain items from his bid, but I still found items we had discussed before either included or left off. I had hoped to parlay the Big Deal into a larger area of work for our yard - but after this amount of time to still not have the design that I've spent a great deal of time attempting to communicate leads me to finally accept that this isn't the most productive working relationship. DJ has always been cordial and professional, althought at times not available and that may be due to his schedule. I am sure that when companies offer these "deals" they may not be prepared for the response. I had some very specific ideas of the work we needed and it just seemed the communication of those ideas was not taken into account. I know Wilson Landscaping has offered a 99.00 deal for a consultation. Although the design is not ultimately what we want, I do realize DJ came to our property, provided a design and an estimate. I am very willing to pay Wilson Landscaping the $99 for that service. Please let me know if any other information is needed. I have all the email correspondence if you require further documentation.

Description of Work: They were fantastic, quick and ran out of things for them to do.

Description of Work: Dug out and cleaned front flower bed, dug out and expanded the size of an existing flower bed in the back (more than doubled the size), installed a new flower bed in the back. They were fast, friendly, and did an excellent job. The only reason they were late was because of traffic around construction zones.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's coupon for a garden design. John was very easy to work with. He seemed to catch on immediately to my style and what I was trying to achieve with my garden. The design he drew was outstanding. His office was very prompt in supplying a detailed estimate for full implementation when asked. I opted to have the company complete the basic outline of the design--soil prep, hardscapes and large plantings--leaving the small plantings for me to do as I wish. They were on time, courteous, thorough, neat and professional. I am very pleased and plan to use them again to address some drainage issues.

Description of Work: I bought the landscape design coupon from Wilson Landscape a month or so ago. I called the company to schedule an appointment and received a very prompt response. DJ came out to my house to help design the plan. We walked through my vision and DJ was very informative, helpful, and answered all my questions. I received the plan as promised and while it was not a fancy plan with color and such, it was actually what I had told DJ I wanted. He seemed to have really listened to me and gave me the exact design I had asked for. There were a few changes I wanted to make so I called DJ to discuss and he offered to come back over again to let me walk him through the changes. Again, he totally listened because the plan turned out exactly as I had described to him. I really like DJ. He and I hit it off immediately. He is quite knowledgeable regarding shrubs, trees and design and when he doesn't know the answer to a question, he is not afraid to say so and to defer to John Wilson and get back to me. We will build a pool in our yard in a few years when our kids are older and I told DJ that was our plan. One of the beds I wanted is in the path to where machinery would come in and out of the yard to build a pool. DJ actually recommended that I wait and not spend a lot on that area of the yard until the pool is put in. I think any time you have a salesman recommend that you not spend money, they are at least somewhat ethical and honest. I ended up spending the amount elsewhere because the yard started looking so good when they were doing the work that I kept adding things like moss boulder trim. DJ and crew showed up when they were supposed to and worked hard each day. By the way, the crew I got were the sweetest, most pleasant young men. They were polite, respectful, friendly and very hard working. I actually miss having them around. The yard is very quiet today without them. Thanks Benito! In any event, the landscaping turned out phenominal. They did a fantastic job and I am very happy with it. All of my neighbors have given compliments on how great it looks. I would highly recommend DJ and his crew. They are just delightful. I really enjoyed working with them on this and will definitely use them again for a stone patio and other things when the need arises. Good work guys!

Description of Work: I filled out an information form January 9, 2013 & thought they would call me, but I haven't heard from them yet. I called them yesterday, February 13 & was told someone would call me back, but still not word from them.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List special for landscaping as I had some clean up and manicuring that I needed to be done. In the limited amount of time I purchased I could not believe the difference in the appearance of my yard. The work was exactly as I requested and no mess was left behind. I will most definitely be using this company in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Description of Work: 01/15/13 This is an interium report. To date John Wilson, Wilson Landscape Design, has been to our house and gave us a few suggestion on how we might update and improve our front landscape. We have communicated several times since his visit but we have not seen any design or plan or proposal to implement changes to our current landscape. He is somewhat unresponsive to our recent calls and and no progress has been made to date. Reason for 'NO' response to question on use of company - no change to my front landscape as of 01/14/13. Reason for 'NO' response to question on service performance - same as above question. I do not want any payment to go to Wilson Landscape Design until I complete my final report. Description of Work: "The workmanship was generally good although the spacing of the flowers on either side of our front door was not even with the opposite side. The problem came when we received the invoice and were charged an extra $148 (we had purchased the Angie's list deal for this work). My husband called DJ that responded and he claimed that they added bags of soil to the flower bed. That never happened. There was only a pile of planters mix that they brought on a flatbed. The only bags that were used were our bags of mulch. He claimed that we asked for bedding soil. We never saw any bedding soil bags and the bags the workers brought were not used. During the discussion, he hung up on my husband. My husband then called the office to complain and the owner called him back and said that they would send us a new invoice indicating we owe nothing and test the soil for organic material. This was fine until we received the same invoice via email. When I replied that we were told we owed nothing, this email was sent back ""I believe Mr Wilson said he was crediting the $52.00 for the material we installed that you said we did not. The Balance is still due"". We eventually received a new invoice and just paid it to get it over with. The new invoice was for $92.01; they removed the compost/organic planters mix only ($52), whereas they really should have only paid the $52 rather than the higher amount."

Description of Work: No service. Big Deal pymt was refunded after Wilson advised that they do not serve DeSoto customers.

Description of Work: There services were NEVER provided in spite of repeated efforts on my part to set them up.

Description of Work: They did a good job. They were scheduled to start at 10am, but arrived at 3:45pm. The deal I purchased was 8 man hours for $250.00. What I received was 3 men for 1 1/2 hours. My husband asked them to come back the next day to mow. They mowed the front but not the back and left me a phone message that they couldn't mow the back unless the dogs were locked up. The dogs were locked up all that day. Very frustrating!

Description of Work: We called them and spoke with after the Big Deal was purchased, but then they became unresponsive. We have since cancelled the Big Deal.
