They still have not done the work and its been over a month.

Dont's - Responsiveness of the company contact was an issue. Work was supposed to start on one day and when workers did not show up in the designated time, calls and emails were sent to the company contact who was unresponsive. For planning purposes, this was very frustrating. It seemed like our job was squeezed into the existing schedule since the crew arrived later in the day to start the work and were unable to finish. They arrived later the 2nd day and did finish. Dos - The owner later reconciled the situation and work was performed effectively. The team were professional and worked hard to complete the task. I would hire them again

I bought this deal on Angie's List for Wilson Landscaping on June 18th. I called to schedule an appointment. The woman (who works for the listing service, not this contractor) said she cannot schedule or do anything helpful. She said all she could do is take my number and I would get a call back. The call never came. A week later on June 25th I called again. The answering service promised me that I would get a call this time....It didn't. I got an e-mail instead. So I e-mailed back and forth with someone at WIlson Landscaping regarding the scope of the work and what dates I wanted. Wilson Landscaping said "July 11th or later would be best." I indicated I wanted a July 12th appointment. I never got a response. So I called on July 8th.....Brace yourselves....I was promised a phone call....and I never received one. I called again on July 11th and was told the owner would call me with no fail...Once again.....an e-mail instead of a phone call telling me they could not commit to the appointment on the 12th but they would know for sure the next morning. It is ridiculous that a deal I bought back in June....could not be scheduled for July....the owner doesn't return calls. He thinks I'm upset because he enlisted an answering service. I fired this contractor because they are unorganized, unprofessional and don't make good on their commitments.

I was very patient and flexible with the scheduling. I expected a cad program for landscape design. It was hand written in pencil. I was excited when I saw the deal come up but was very disappointed with the end result. Dj was very knowledgeable and speaking with him I was impressed. I did expect more. He asked for 2 weeks to provide the plans. He sent it to me in 11 x 17 so I had to send it to the printer company to see it. I could not print it at my home. The cost of the print job was not the issue it was the inconvenience. Overall I was not satisfied with this deal.

The job was far more complicated that provider was prepared to do so only one part was completed.

The office staff were professional and friendly while arranging the job (pre-paid purchased on Angie's List deal). The crew was on-time. The crew leader was friendly and professional - introducing himself and asking what I needed done. I just had to explain what I needed done once and he got it right. The work looked great. They actually trimmed other parts of the trees that I hadn't pointed out as problems to balance it and match it up to the parts I had asked to be trimmed. They even blew the trimmings out of the hedges so they wouldn't dry up and look bad a few days from now - I really appreciated that because I hadn't thought of it but I've seen it happen before. I will definitely use Wilson again when I need this kind of work and I would recommend them.

The crew did a great job trimming our trees and bushes and cleaning up the mess afterwards.

This was supposed to be a "Big Deal" but not for me. The value was advertised as being approximately $4,000.00 but was only at that value to Wilson Landscaping. My intention was to have repair work or perhaps replacement of a retaining wall in the backyard. Their quote was so high in addition to the "$4,000.00 value" that I was not able to have that type of work performed. I instead had to use the $1500.00 spent for the "Big Deal" in some other way, thus having the trees trimmed, two holly bushes removed and a few shrubs trimmed in the front yard. I would have been much better off had I just contracted to have this type of work done. I feel that I barely recaptured the value of my $1500.00 ....let alone the supposed $4,000 value! I had asked that the work be done on any day but Thursday and surprisingly, they showed up on Thursday! Luckily, I happened to be home. I found the "Big Deal" to be very misleading as you get 40 hours of work from Wilson Landscaping which they value at $100.00 per hour and it's the same if they are picking up twigs, planting flowers, cutting the grass or something more involved. I'm very disappointed that I chose this "Big Deal"!

Went great - They got me started on the final prep work for beautiful summer gardens

I was unfortunately unable to meet with the provider when they arrived, so all they had to go on was the instructions I had left with the owner when I scheduled the service call. Nevertheless, the crew focused on more or less exactly what I would have instructed them to work on. They removed most of the remaining leaves from the flower beds around the house and along the fence lines. The collected and bagged various yard debris (branches and sticks). They were quite efficient and got more work done than I thought they would in just two hours.

No problems were encountered.

He showed good knowledge of landscaping and plants and gave excellent ideas and suggestions. I plan to hire him to implement much of that at some point in the near future.

They did a great job on the work, they were a little light on communication, I had to keep following up to get an appointment. I know the weather affected their schedule, but a little more communication would have been nice. But I was very satisfied with the work they did though and I would recommend them.

Two young men showed up on time and asked what I needed them to do. They immediately went to work cleaning up all the leaves that were covering every surface and bagged them for collection. They then proceeded to mow my front and back yard. Then they went on to trim the bushes and do general clean up. They were very polite and professional and I was very, very pleased.

John's first appointment was to measure the front yard adn discuss our plans. He provided a plan with detailing the plants and costs. He provided my wife and I with time to vist nurseries to find the plants in the plan. We made some changes to for plant preference and others to get closer to our budget. We are very pleased with the results.

Unable to make meaningful contact with Mr. Wilson. His only contact is an answering service who promise to relay calls but never results in a return phone call. In early contact with Mr. Wilson, he assured me that work would be performed. In one contact with VP, was told that work would be completed. Only work performed to date is one and a half hours by a person named Juan and two young assistants that involved trimming, edging, and mowing small front lawn. Multiple followup phone calls go unanswered. Mr. Wilson was paid May 23, 2013. As of July 1, 2013 work has not been completed and small amount of work performed has not been entirely satisfactory. There is no indication that this firm actually exists. There appears to be no physical facility where one may make contact with the firm. There seem to be no phone numbers that go directly to the company - only the answering service. Multiple calls yesterday and today have not been answered. I have asked Mr. Wilson to complete the work by this Friday or refund the moneys paid. I believe the advertising in Angie's List is fake and I am surprised that Angies List would include a firm of this type without some reason to believe that the company exists or has an acceptable performance record. I ask that Angie's List assist me in obtaining a refund of the money paid.

The bushes on our property were in bad need of trimming, the flower/planter beds were in need of some weeding and along our alley, one of our rock beds was buried in leaves. This year, I had a really hard time finding a landscaping company to come out and send a crew. It's just a busy time of year and nobody wanted to do a one-off job. I was pretty excited when I found this Big Deal. After purchasing it, it was scheduled within a couple business days. It seemed like they'd gotten a pretty good response on the Big Deal because we had to wait a couple weeks to get someone out to do the yard work. When I talked to the provider, I went over my list of things that needed to be done and asked them to let me know if we went over what we paid for so that I could pay the balance. I fully expected what we had wanted to take more than the allotted time and it was more important for us to get the work finished than to save a few bucks When I got home that evening, I was pleased to see the job they did. The yard looked fantastic and all the items I'd asked about had gotten taken care of. Even better, they managed to do it under the conditions of the Big Deal and there wasn't any additional charge for us to pay. A definite good experience, I'll be giving them a call next time we need similar services.

They did a great job - very professional!

Everything went great at the beginning but when I tried to find out when they would be returning to check sprinklers. Never got a return phone call. Had to call three times before getting an answer. Then they were supposed to come back five times in the month of July and they only showed up once. Very unprofessional & would not use again .

It went WONERFULLY! The gentlemen who came to our home were very professional and courteous. They understood immediately what we wanted done, and also made additional suggestions that improved upon the result! They finished the backyard work within the first few hours, and them immediately asked if there was any additional work in the front yard etc that they could do (since we had prepaid for a certain number of man hours, and there was still some of that time left). So they also cleaned up the front yard trees and shrubs, edged the lawn, etc. They bagged everything up and stacked it in nice piles for the city trash pickup. They even cleaned branches/leaves out of the pool that had fallen in during the work. The backyard looks AMAZING now - 100% better! I would absolutely use them again - in fact we plan to remodel the landscaping in the front yard some time in the next year, and I will be contacting these guys when we do that for sure!

It was never completed.

Mr. Wilson came to my house in April. He asked questions about our landscape needs, took notes and pictures. When he left, he said he would have our landscape plan completed in 3 to 4 weeks. We have not seen or heard from him since.

Did not use him. Did the work myself.
