Wilson Landscape Design

Wilson landscape did not return calls and never did anything. I don't remember last dates of contact, sorry.

Service was ok . They recommended putting azaleas in an area that gets full sun, and I know that would kill them. Indicated a lack of attention to detail. If you need a really big job done with a lot of concrete work, fencing, etc. I think they would be much more responsive and do a good job.

After multiple calls, I reached the company and arranged an estimate. He came out and went over the work and said he'd be following up. I never heard back from him after and they never returned my calls.

I would give Wilson Landscapeing a "C". If I had been paying more than $99 I would have been really upset. I don't believe I got a Big or Great Deal. Mr. Wilson came out to our home and looked at our back yard. He mentioned several different plants for a few beds that I knew I didn't want and I told him that, however, when he did the drawing the unwanted plants were on it. I also said I wanted a stone walk way and dry river bed in one area and the drawing had no river bed with a stone path laid out as a straight line. The drawing also was not very easy to read. It was black and white with numbers in circles. The numbers were associated with a plant names on a separate sheet. This may be the normal drawings one would get for $350.00 (the "original" price of my Big Deal) but I would have been really upset if I had paid more than $99 for what I got. I did like some of his plant choices however, I did not use Wilson to do the actual landscape work because I didn't believe he listen to my original request.

Mr. Wilson performed the service very well. He came to my house, took pictures, and discussed with me various possible ideas for landscaping. He later sent me a sketch of his design. I liked the way that he incorporated my ideas with some of his own. He had some very good ideas. I also appreciate that he sent me a breakdown of what each piece of the design would cost to implement. The design involves a great many parts, including plantings, fence and patio construction. I will certainly use Mr. Wilson when I want to start construction.

Called to schedule an appointment and was told that someone from scheduling would call me back, but they never did. Called again, and same story. I missed a call from an unknown number, but they did not leave a message. I called back a third time and left a voicemail, with no returned call. Not interested in working with a company that requires 4 or more calls from me to get them to call me back.

The work they did was excellent however I paid for 8 man hours and only received 4. They finished everything I asked them to do but instead of asking if there was anything else I wanted done since i still had 4 man hours left, they packed their truck and knocked on the door to say they were through.

Meeting with landscape contractor went well; We discussed improvements, plus landscape design recommendations for both front and rear yards. I furnished requested info, including copy of plat. Contractor took measrements and pictures of my yards. Two weeks pass, but I receive no estimate as promised. So I confirm via email that contractor received copy of plat. Two months have now past and still no response. Since Wilson Landscape cannot timely produce an estimate, no recommendations or further consideration will be given.

I was not really happy with it. They came out and did a plan or assessment on what I wanted to do for landscaping. The communication is very hard, I have to call them at least twice to get the appointment set up. The day that he was supposed to come, he didn't come and I called and they were an hour late. He said he had to cancel because he had ha family emergency, so okay. We rescheduled, he came out and he was nice. He took my ideas and went back but I have to call him two or three times to get the plan drawn up; and when I finally got it....it was not an acceptable plan. Every time I need to do something with him I have to call him several times. Just last time, they sent out the final estimate but I have not heard a word about the estimate and it's almost three weeks. Whether I wanted to do it or not they should call me or follow up and see if I like it or not. He is a very nice person but I think they are just too busy that they can't handle more work right now with all the deals that they have. The other thing was, we live way on the Eastern side of the Mckinney and right now most of his work is on the Western side so I think he cannot work well in here. Because of all the delays, it’s too late to go ahead on things that I wanted to do. That wasted a lot of my time and I felt bad that it took so long to get the appointment and get things followed through on. The office apparently doesn't do anything unless they talk to him, John Wilson. They should call him and take the appointment....put it in his voice mail...if somebody calls at least it takes one more call to follow through and find out what’s happening.

I think there's a hard time in communicating with them but I'm not too sure because it's been a while.

Was looking for flagstone trim to finish out our garden beds in front yard.Went to Angie's list and looked and saw the advertisement for Wilsons.Read it and tried to contact them a few days before the ad ran out.Was told I would be called.Ad was on its last day,I decided to purchase it anyway.Was called the next day by a gentleman.Was told he would come out and look and bid on additional work I wanted done at the same time.Was never contacted again.Then I decided to contact a couple of other companies and get bids on the same work.AAA Sand and Stone is going to do 127 feet 2 stones high (Wilsons was for only 1)for 1350.00.Martinez Landscaping also bid and came in at 1225.00 for doing the exact same job as Wilsons,but am dealing with AAA because of their long standing reputation and referrals I could verify.I find this laughable someone would pay 2400.00 for the same thing these other companies do.Had I been more diligent and researched harder I am sure I would have found this out instead of feeling Angie's List would give me some value and screening out this type of scam.I obviously now know that it is not necessarily a good deal if Angie's List includes this in their listings.Will probably not renew my subscription to this service after this.It is not what I signed up for.

I purchased a big deal for this company. I guess he came out and did what we paid him to do. But then kind of go the next step with it, it didn't work out well at all. He did what he was supposed to do for the big deal itself. They missed the first two appointments and I finally got him there on the third appointment. The it took a while to actually get the design to me after they did it. It was pretty poor. The follow up was horrible, the trying to go to the next step of what you can do from now, you gave me a landscape design, how much might that cost, he was so over priced it was ridiculous. I'm getting it done for about a third of the price.

It turned out great. He did not try to hard sell us on anything. He told us about another service and told us that if we wanted to use it, we could call him back. It was more for ideas, we had no clue on what we wanted to do and we wanted to hear what he had to say. He gave us some really great ideas and we will probably use him.

Antonio and crew arrived on time and immediately began work. We hade discussed what needed to be done previously. They worked quickly and cleaned up all of the mess the "take down" caused. They returned to the next day to complete the job. They are very knowledgeable, efficient and always a pleasure to work with.

I had purchased this service back sometime in 2011 or 2012 and it it look a year to get it . The provider said he'd come at such and such a day, but wouldn't or I'd get an email saying he'd have to postpone. I wondered if i was realy so far out of his service area why didn't he tell me that to begin with. But ,I continued to keep in contact. Finally two of the workers came, and when they finished the work it looked really great. They cleaned up after themselves and I was 100% happy with the results.. The trees that were relocated are still alive and thriving too.

It went just fine. It took him long to get back to me with the design. The design was okay, it was kinda vague. I wanted a lot more details and different types of plans and that was not in the design. They came out about a month after I purchased the deal. I had to call them a couple of times and I sent e-mails to remind them. I had lots of companies that gave me free estimate with a free design.

Did a very good job of recommending landscaping projects, including replacement of shrubs/trees/flowers. Provided graphic layout of plan with recommended plantings and recommended plants/trees. Well done. They will do some work for me this winter.

June 26 Initial contact with Wilson Landscaping requesting bid for work including moving a remote power outlet in the yard. June 28 Initial meeting with Wilson Landscaping to discuss scope and develop parameters for bid July 5 Proposal for work provided to client (me) July 5 Statement of work accepted by client (me). The only stipulation (the first sentence in my acceptance) was that this work include the moving of the electric outlet in the yard as proposed. July 9 Wilson Landscape acknowledges my acceptance and explains that work will begin in roughly 2 weeks. July 12 Client (me) contacts utility company to mark buried cables as required by code July 20 Client (me) contact Wilson Landscaping to get definition on the start date due to no contact since July 9 July 22 Wilson Landscaping explains that work will begin early next week. August 2 Client (me) contacts Wilson Landscaping to request status on start date of the project August 7 Wilson Landscaping begins demolition work August 13 Wilson Landscaping sends invoice when they considered work to be completed. Many items were lacking (notably the moving of the electric outlet that was instead removed) and the yard was a mess. August 14 Client (me) contacted Wilson Landscaping to arrange for completion of work. Client explained that the outlet was not moved which was a stipulation of the contract. Client (me) informs Wilson Landscaping that if this issue does not get resolved that I would post this information to Angie's List August 15 Wilson Landscaping replies stating the the electric work was never agreed and demanded payment. August 19 Wilson Landscaping demands payment due to "completion" of work. Additionally, Wilson Landscaping accused client (me) of "threatening" them with honest feedback on Angie's List stating that they do not respond well to this. August 19 Client (me) contacts Wilson Landscaping to pay for project with the understanding with vendor that the electric work will happen shortly. September 2 Client (me) contact Wilson Landscaping to get update on the installation of the electric outlet September 3 Wilson Landscape says that they'd get back to me ASAP on this September 22 Client (me) contacts Wilson Landscaping looking for an update on the completion of the project. No reply. September 29 Client (me) contacts Wilson Landscaping looking for an update on the completion of the project. September 30 Wilson Landscaping contacts me stating that they will be onsite tomorrow with a electrician. Nobody showed up. October 8 Client (me) contacts Wilson Landscaping to get an update on the installation of the electric outlet. No reply. October 29 Client (me) contacts Wilson Landscaping to cancel contract and posts this information to Angie's List after 4 months of terrible treatment by Wilson Landscaping.

Juan and his helper arrived on time and began work. They worked the amount of time dictated by the deal. Seemed to do a good job. When I mentioned that we might be interested in using them for other weekly service, I expected that word to get back to the owner and a service call be made to ask me what else they could do to provide us service. Work was done well, but no customer service followup! Gotta do that in today's work world to keep a customer base.

e had some miscommunications (both parties' fault.) Once they were resolved, we had a very good experience.

DJ told me they'd be out the first week in October, but they never showed. I contacted him the following Monday, and he said they had had some delays but would definitely be out that week. They never showed. I contacted him and also Angie's List, and this time they came a few days later. They removed the large bush and the dead shrubs, but also removed a large, healthy shrub that I now have to replace. They trimmed the ivy and some of the bushes I wanted trimmed, but very unevenly. They moved some things (like a hose caddy) and never moved them back. And they did not cut the discarded brush for the trash pickup, so now I have a big dead shrub, roots and all, on my curb that someone else will need to cut up. This is my second negative experience with Angie's List (out of two). I'm trying one more time before I give up. I found better contractors just by asking friends on Facebook for recommendations.

after initial appointment when work was suppose to be completed in month to 6 weeks....it took MONTHS. I was REPEATEDLY told they would be out in the next week. They FINALLY completed the job when I refused to pay them any money not on the "special" coupon.

It went fine. I didn't spend any additional with them.
