Description of Work: It's "Lawn & Yard Work" and they do it very well. I emailed Universal Lawn Care late on a Sunday night with a description of the work needed. Edgar called me Wednesday and said they were scheduled to be in my neighborhood, then called me again after he'd surveyed the job, with a quote to do the work. I agreed; they began working immediately and completed everything the same day. No one was home to pay, Edgar said he would be in the area the following Wednesday and I agreed to leave an envelope with payment on the appointed day. I also forgot to leave the envelope and was looking for the mailing address to send a check when I saw the three negative reviews preceding this and was motivated to comment. Two of the reviews appear to be regarding the same non-job, the other is mad because Edgar is busy, as the top ranked in a category tend to be. I get the impression they do estimates when in the requestor's area, especially with new customers and those not on a maintenance schedule, which is typical. I didn't request an estimate or try to schedule a specific time/place to meet. I just wanted the work done and my experience was very good. Thank you Edgar. The check is (really) in the mail...

Description of Work: I called Universal Lawn Service yesterday specifically because they have a special listing for weed control. Calling that number put me in touch with Edgar whom I asked if he would give me an estimate for my yard which has no grass, but lots of shrubs, ground covers and needs regular maintenance of trimming, pruning, blowing and weed control. He said he was in the area yesterday and would check it out.;I gave him my cell phone number to call me. Did not hear from him. Called him today and he said they are a landscape service YET he knew I had no grass when we first spoke. Not calling me back is a big irritant and one that I do not expect from Angie's List vendors. I would not use this company ever as I believe they are not honest.

Description of Work: The area around my foundation had washed away and my foundation was starting to erode. I hired this company to put dirt and sod around my foundation and it is doing well. The grass is growing well and staying in place and the foundation is no longer exposed. I plan to use them for lawn service going forward this year. Their prices are reasonable.

Description of Work: Pedro and his crew raked bunches and bunches of leaves from our backyard and did a great job! Since then we have used them for mowing and they are always dependable and efficient. I hihgly recommend.

Description of Work: Pedro quoted me for two services. One service is for weedeating, edging and flower bed cleanup. The other includes mowing.

Description of Work: I have been using Universal Lawn Care for about 6 - 8 months. I pay them $25/week. Pedro laid down new sod in March this year and charged me less than half the amount i had paid the previous year. The backyard continues to look great. A good reliable company - highly recommended.

Description of Work: Universal Lawn service installed St Augustine in my back yard. They had an excellent price and did a diligent job at preparing the soil underneath before placing the sod. They also built up an area with additional soil that had eroded over the years. The team arrived at exactly the time they had committed and worked very consistently, finishing the work in four hours.
