Superior Finish

Went great. Bob showed up for the appointment on time and was great to work with. Work was done in a timely manner and looks great. Had to return the next day to finish and caulk which he did while working around my schedule. Would definitely use his services again.

Prompt arrival... neat work space... extremely communicative.. did not push me to purchase his services, and actually asked me more than once if I were sure this was what I wanted to do... Then he worked diligently and constantly. The odor of the chemicals was pretty strong, and the bathroom does NOT have a window so the exhaust fan tried its' best to pull out the odor during the process. The end result was dramatic and super gorgeous... Not to mention, spending over $2000 for a new tub & its' installation would have been very expensive in comparison to the refinishing process and end resulting cost of the refinishing.... There were a couple of little runs in the material when he finished, but Bob returned immediately as promised and removed them and recoated the areas to perfection. He is a very honest and forthright person and goes out of his way to make sure you ae pleased with the end result of his work... Bobby came out on time and repaired a large chip on our tub where the shower rod and fallen down. He was very thorough and did excellent work. You can't even find where it was fixed. He was very polite and professional. Definitely would use again.

I bought a remodeled condo about two years ago. I was not told that my tub had been reglazed. Since I wasn't aware, I was using strong brushes and comet to weekly clean the tub. I not only started to remove caulking, but also noticed the glaze coming off in sheets. I have never hired a company for this, and my mother suggested Angie's List. I bought the membership, and after reading numerous reviews, decided to go with Superior Finish. He immediately gave me a price, and said he did not need to see the job, and that the cost would not increase. He immediately made an appointment with me, showed up on time, and stayed on schedule. After completing the job, I noticed a spot that I wanted to have touched up further, and he didn't hesitate to do whatever I requested. He completely recaulked the entire tub, and the glaze is beautiful! I have already recommended him to friends and family and will never use anyone else. The cost was competitive, and the time it took was minimal. Purchasing Angie's list membership to find him was worth every penny.

It was a very good experience--Bob answered the phone himself when I called the contact number, he was able to set up an appointment to start work the same week and accomodated my schedule,even finishing the work on a Saturday. He was prompt , did excellent work and cleaned up after himself--Overall I am very pleased--too bad he does not do general handyman work--I would definetly recommend him

We were preparing for the placement of a frameless shower door and needed to have our shower pan refinished. Called Superior Finish based on excellent reviews on Angie's List. This was a great move on our part. Bob was easy to schedule and was able to arrive earlier after calling us due to a cancellation. Once he was able to clean the shower pan up he left it up to us whether to refinish it. It looked beautiful after cleaning so we just decided to skip the refinish. His service fee was extremely fair and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.

I called Bob on a Friday to make an appointment to refinish our guest bathroom tub, and he was there on Monday morning! Super-quick response time, which was great since we had family coming into town a couple of days after. We thought we needed a full tub refinish, but it turns out Bob just needed to strip the tub of a previous failed refinish attempt and airbrush a tiny nick, and the seldom-used tub was good as new. He mentioned - and I will here - that a lesser contractor would've just refinished the tub anyway and charged us the full price, but he didn't think that was good business. I agree, and we will definitely be using Superior Finish again when we tackle our master bath. Plus, Bob is a dog guy. Extra points for that. Great service, a fair price, and a friendly contractor. This was my first time using Angie's List, and I am thrilled with the results.

We had 2 bathtubs in need of refinishing. Both had been previously refinished several years ago and one was in terrible shape! We thought it was beyond repair and were considering replacing it. After reading reviews on Angie's List, we called Bob who assured us he could take care of the problem and both would look like new. He worked extremely hard for 2 days (one with his son Bobby helping) and did a fabulous job on both tubs. They look absolutely perfect and we are very happy with the results. We would highly recommend Bob to anyone needing this service. You won't be disappointed with the results of his work!

It was an excellent experience. he was courteous, professional, and he is wonderful with customer service. I would recommend him to anyone.

Bob was very easy to schedule with, even calling me back on Labor Day to schedule for later that week. When he started working, he found water behind the calking, and thought we might have an active water leak, so he stopped the process and told us to call him when we had it fixed and were ready for him - no charge for coming out. We got our problem resolved, and he ended up coming back on a Saturday to do the refinish so we did not have to take off another day of work. The process is stinky, but the results are amazing. We were lucky it was a cool enough day that we could leave the windows open all day and night, and that got enough smell out that we could sleep in our master bedroom. The tub looks better than it has ever looked and the whole bathroom looks new because of the bright white tub.

Bob removed our shower door and old tub surround and caulk, re-grouted and re-caulked and glazed our tub and the tile that has been hidden behind the tub surround for years. I came home to find a shiny white tub and wall! He replaced my faucet, drain and shower head. He replaced a couple missing tiles outside the tub. He gave me a primer on how to take care of this beautiful bathroom to keep it beautiful (did you know you should not use bleach? I didn't!) I fully plan to use him again. One thing it didn't occur to me to ask was if he could finish it in other colors, and he can. And all this was for less money than I expected. I enthusiastically recommend him.

I sent an email regarding service and got a response the same day. Bob quoted an estimate, which included scraping an old attempt by reglazing, I am assuming a do it yourself project gone bad. Work was scheduled in two days and Bob was right on time. I loved the work he did - my old tub looks amazing, the work was done quickly, professionally, and Bob was very tidy during the entire process. I did not do my tiles as I have been working on a tight budget with my bathroom redo. However, the work he did turned out so well, it makes the tiles look better. Bob also gave me some tips on cleaning the tile to make them look better. If I do decide to do the tiles, no question I will call Bob.

I called Bobby about the problem in the tub. Which was an eight inch split in the bottom of the tub. He was able to fit my job in the following morning. Due to stroms in the area the night before the power was out at the house but Bobby was able to complete the fix without electricity. He showed up on time, was professional, friendly and quick. The tub bottom is now in perfect shape. I would hire this company again and can highly recommend them.

Bob was on time, his price was good, his work was even above our expectations. He had to go to several stores to find the right drain to replace the old one. He was very tidy - pleasant - no complaints.

The tub looks brand new, and it was a painless job. The smell lingers for about a day if you don't have good ventilation, but it's tolerable. He gave us a $25 dollar discount through Angie's List and didn't charge us for fixing the chips. I would definitely call him again, he did a great job and was considerably less expensive than other bids I got.

It was a pleasant experience. The price was eactly what he said it would be. He was very punctual and the tub looks great.

Initial contact was easy. I chose Bob to do the work after asking him a few questions about the process. He was able to schedule my work for one week after our conversation. The day of the appointment he called a few minutes before our appointment time to let me know he was on his way. He arrived about 15 minutes late. When I showed Bob the tub he suggested I consider just letting him clean it since it was already in pretty good shape. He was going to have to clean it before reglazing anyway, so I said I'd give him my decision after he did the cleaning. He did a good cleaning job. The tub was still dull and I wanted it to look new, so I asked him to go ahead and reglaze. After he reglazed and left for the day I took a peek. The tub was pretty and shiny. The tile surround was covered with paper. The drain was covered with something, so I coudn't see it and didn't give it a second thought at that time. The next day Bob called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he took down the tape and paper and applied caulk. When he finished and it was time for payment he told me that he hadn't been able to remove the drain. He tried but it was too difficult. When I set up the appointment one of the things I specifically asked about was removal and replacement of the drain. I had heard and read that removing the drain is a very important step. If it isn't replaced your tub will look brand new but your drain will not. I also heard many reports that the first place to peel and crack will be the glaze up to and around the old drain that wasn't removed before reglazing. During the conversation he had told me that removing the drain would not be an issue and that he is almost always able to remove the drain. Well, it seems I was one of the exceptions. I really didn't know what to say. After Bob left I e-mailed and expressed my concern. He replied that in his experience the reglaze on those that don't have the drain replaced lasts as long as those that do. He reminded me that he provides a 5-year warranty if I should happen to have a problem. While I definitely do appreciate that he didn't break my drain, I was disappointed. I felt that before he did the reglaze he should have told me that he wasn't able to remove the drain and asked me if I wanted him to continue. Even though it would have been expensive I would have probably called a plumber to remove the drain. (Maybe I could have waited until I needed a plumber for something else around the house and have the replacement of the drain combined into my service call with whatever the other fix might happen to be.) Now I have a shiny tub which looks new and a drain which makes it look less than new. The drain isn't horrible, but neither was my dull tub. There is another concern. During our initial call, I told him that I would like for all of the caulking in the corners to be replaced. He said that he would take care of the caulk, and he did replace the mildewed area which rose a few inches above the tub. Now I have nice new white caulk for a few inches and then yellowish dry and brittle caulk from there to the ceiling. Bob had everything cleaned up and was ready to leave, so I didn't say anything about the caulk. Maybe some people would only want the mildewed caulk replaced or maybe replacing more than a few inches from the tub isn't included in the fee. I didn't mention it to Bob because it doesn't look horrible. It would be nice to have all new caulk. In summary...I would hire Bob again! I think it would be good to advise options beforehand in case the drain can't be removed. And some customers might expect all new caulking rather than just replacing up to a few inches above the tub.

This was a great experience and I highly recommend Bob - in fact, I already have to friends needing their tubs refinished. Bob arrived exactly when he said he would with every supply and piece of equipment needed to efficiently complete the job. He didn't even mind when I stuck my head in to satisfy my curiosity as to what the process was. I learned a lot about the process from Bob. Bob was meticulous in his work and the results show that - the tub is beautiful! After the refinishing process Bob returned the next day to re-caulk the tub, reinstall the hardware, and clean up. Don't hesitate to call on Bob for your refinishing needs.

Be aware that there will be an odor that lingers for several days and quite a bit of dust too. But it looks so good, I didn't mind a bit! Bob is such a nice man. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Originally we had a well known franchise come in and refinish our countertops. As hard as they tried they could not get it right. Did some research on Angie's List and found Bob of Superior Finish. I contacted Bob and he felt he could salvage the countertops. I was impressed with the estimate and gave him the okay. Bob showed up on time and proceeded to work and try to salvage the countertops. We really thought we would have to get new tops. Bob did an excellent job they look brand new. Bob cleaned up the areas and gave us instructions. He said we can call him if we have any questions. Bob is much more knowledgable and experienced with the product. I highly recommend it.

Several days before I called Superior Finish, I brought in a BBB rated company to repair my fiberglass tub. After discussing the repairs that needed to be done and the price, the BBB rated company basically ruined the bottom of the tub and sprayed over it without even preparing the surface. Now my tub looked worse than ever. Bob and his son came in and completely fixed the poor repairs and got the tub back to new condition.

Bob came out and refinished my tub after a guy on Craigslist totally screwed it up the week before. The extra $100 was for stripping the others guys mess off the tub. Work was excellent, fixed everything back up like new, really happy with the job and service. He came back the next day to finish up and was really helpful on how to care for the tub finish, the caulk job was done well too. Really learned my lesson here, luckily it only cost me $100.

Everything went smoothly. There were a couple of things that he quickly took care of. He even came out to our house a week later to fix something minor that I should have been able to solve. I highly recommend Superior Finish if you are looking for a much cheaper alternative to updating your counters.
