Worked me into their busy schedule before my option period expired. Good guys.

They did a good job, but charged $195 for a $60 dollar part, plus the $70 trip fee. They did provide the 10% Angie's list discount. Total cost $256 to replace the part. Professional people and he did wash both units to remove grass build up which was very nice. Very high price.

We had three quotes for a new HVAC system since ours was original to the house (22 years old) and was failing. They were middle of the road in price but were by far the most honest, fair and knowledgeable. He could have easily recommended us replacing our evaporator coils that are 4 years old but he said we might as well save $2500 by keeping the ones we have since they are fine and use the new refrigerant. He took the time to explain each system and what he would recommend for our house based on the readings he took. He was the only one who actually measured our house and looked at our vents vs the others who just quoted based on what we previously had. On the day of installation, they were on time and finished the job in 5 hours. They were clean, efficient and professional. We had used them previously for spring and fall maintenance and we will continue to do so...and will recommend them to anyone.

We recently moved into a new home and our air conditioning stopped working. The previous owners had left us a list of subcontractors they have used in the past and Select a/c was on the list. We looked them up on Angie's list and gave them a call. They were able to come out the same day and fix the problem. Oscar was our technician and he was friendly, professional and did a great job! He worked very quickly! Before entering the house he offered to cover his shoes to protect our carpet. He was the first repairman in all of my years of owning a home who has offered to do this. I was so impressed! Our unit is 16 years old and I have very basic knowledge of how it works. Someone could have easily walked in and told me we needed a new unit and I wouldn't have known any better. It is refreshing to do business with such an honest company. When this unit wears out, we will be giving them a call. I have programmed their number into my phone and will be referring them to all of my friends and family.

He came out the same day (as it was 107 degrees) on short notice, great service!!!. He was very professional and took the time to inspect the A/C. Replaced a bad capacitor. I would use him again if I had any A/C issues.

Billy was a referral from another vendor doing some work on my home. I went to Angie's List to verify his work. All of his ratings were excellent, so we invited him to the home. Billy showed up when he was supposed to. Sat with us in the back yard and went through all the options and pricing. His pricing was very fair (I had several other bids) but he seemed honest, put in some freon for free to help us out for the next several days until installation occured. The day of installation, he showed up on time and brought 5 trucks over, with plenty of help. They did not damage the house and finished in around 6 hours. His workers and himself did not stop, very impressive. Very happy with Billy and his work. I will use him again, it is nice to deal with a professional.

This guy was very professional, honest, and punctual and explained everything very well to us. He told us that the leak stop might not be a 100% cure, but the alternative was to spend a couple thousand for a new attic unit (where the leak was). We will definitely use his service again if needed.

It went awesome. We've used them about 7 years. They're just easy to deal with. You call them up and ask for them to do something, they're very prompt in getting there. They are very efficient and knowledgeable so I trust them with all the work. I don't even bother checking anybody else.

Evaluated HVAC System and provided detailed explanation of the circumstances before work was performed. Found a minor, hard to diagnose part, and reset. To replace the part would have been really expensive, but he said the fix would last several years more. We will always call him when we have troubles with ac. Nice guy, local, gave all my friends his name and number!

They did a great job, fixing a problem from a prior A/C service a year or so ago and made my system work with 2-stages as it was designed to. Very professional and quick. I will certainly call them again and recommend to all my neighbors.

First off, If this guy serves your area, you need to call him and give you a chance. After another nameless company came out and inspected the problem, gave me the price tag by giving me a range from 1500 up to 2500 and suggested i might need a whole new unit. I called Billy from Select Air because of Angies list reviews. The man answered his phone promptly and when a message was left, he called me back quickly. He was punctual. Never stood me up and never kept me waiting. He walked in the door and had this echo of trustworthiness reserved for superheroes. I had told him about the problem and the first company that came out, he tested what they thought was the problem and verified the evaporator coil was in need of repair. And he walked me through everything from pricing, to why and what to expect. Although he couldn't help me right away because a part was needed and I had to put some scratch together to pay him, he helped me mitigate the problem until we could schedule an appointment. He provided advice for how to set the thermostat so that the pipes outside wouldn't freeze over. (which is what was happening). We were lucky to have a week with highs in the 70's for a few days to keep the temp in the house down. Since it's been fixed, I finally understand how broke my system actually was. He definitely fixed the right part. I can't recommend this guy enough. I'll be purchasing his annual checkup program once I recover from the cost of this fix.

On April 15 the temperature fell from upper 60s to freezing. For some reason our bedroom heating unit has a problem in turning on the furnace if there is a sudden drop in temperature/pressure. Usually shutting it down and restarting solves the issue. Not this time though. We spent the night in living area were the other unit was working. In the morning I called couple of places and Select AC was the only provider to call back promptly. (This is a consistent indicator of good service. Any provider who returns your call promptly invariably ends up providing good service. ) . One of the other service providers I called said they were taking appointments for "next friday" which was 10 days later. I appreciate the fact that they are so busy that they could not handle the volume but to suggest someone requesting a repair that they had to wait 10 days is downright silly. In any case, Billy (I hope I got the name right) from Select AC called me promptly and said he will look at the issue and take care of it the same day. During the day we exchanged calls to get a rough idea about the time he will come over. Billy outlined his schedule for the day and we figured he can make it more or less in the evening after 3pm. In the evening I drove back from work early to be at home at the time of service. I decided to give one more try and tried to turn on the heat. Voila! The furnace turned on without any issue. I didn't cancel the appointment as I wanted Select AC to check out the system as we did not want to get stranded again on a cold night. Billy was professional and courteous. He checked the systems in attic and mentioned everything was working fine. The flame sensor had carbon build up so he cleaned it. He gave some pointers for future reference and we will definitely keep that in mind if the issue arises again. I paid a total of $100 which included the service fee and Angies list discount. I felt it was an excellent price for service offered. If only all service providers provided such honest estimates and charges. We will definitely use Select AC again and recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Very well. Recommended and installed at very reasonable cost safety switches to shut down system if backup and overflow were to occur in future.

It was great and the person that came out was great. I've used them before. They came out when they said they would come out.

Our A/C unit had actually been over filled with freon from the last service, so he bled the line a little to get it down to the right amount so it would cool properly. He also checked over the system, gave it a thumbs up and then he gave me a couple of pointers on easy ways to maintain the system. I was impressed with his knowledge and how he didn't try to overcharge me for something that he could have easily tried to sell me as "a fix" for the problem when it was really just something very simple. All I can say is that it went great. A/C went out so as you can imagine it got quite hot here in N. Texas at the end of August. Thermostat read 91º inside temp. (at night). Within 30 minutes the temperature was on its way back down on the thermostat. I already have plans to use Select Air Conditioning again for bi-annual system check-ups to avoid what I was dreading was going to happen tonight......being told the system needs replacing. I am obviously happy that didn't happen tonight, but I am actually even happier with the service that was provided in the manner in which it was provided. This is a really good outfit they've got there !
