We came home to a hot house. it was late Saturday, after 6pm. we called Select Air and they were able to come out that evening. Mr. Grote arrived when promised. He was professional and polite. My house was cool by bedtime.

Based on the advises I got on the phone, I made some further troubleshooting on my own. It turned out that Bill's suggestions where spot on (a short in the signal cable to the outdoor unit) and I could fix it before he arrived, saving me at least $150. My experience shows that Select Air are very professional and puts customer satisfaction before their own short term profit.

When the time came to replace my two 15 year old AC Systems, I decided to get some estimates and Select was one provider that I invited. All of those I invited were rated highly on Angie's List. Bill Grote of Select Air Conditioning called in response to my email (originated from Angie's List) and made an appointment for the next morning. None of the other companies responded as quickly. Bill showed up on time and did a complete personal review of my situation, plus conducted a thorough and professional inspection of the house, relative to AC requirements, inside and outside. He then did some calculations and system specifications, providing me with different options that would provide a solution to my problems. Bill thoroughly explained the differences between the systems he recommended; but did not "pressure" or try to influence my decision toward the most expensive options. He impressed me that he was interested primarily in helping me make the best decision for my situation. He spent quite some time with me in reviewing the products, their capabilities, the multiple financing plans that were available, the warranties, his plans for regular, routine system checks and maintenance, if required, and possible schedules that could be accommodated. After making the decision to go with Select, Bill scheduled a day/time for the replacement of my systems and on that schedule, his installation team showed up at the house, ready for action. In less than 4 hours, the old systems had been removed, packed up and placed in their trucks, the new systems had been installed in the attic and the outside, the thermostats had been replaced and set and the operation had been explained to me. The team removed the protective canvas they had put down on the floors and stairways, and even vacuumed. Thirty minutes later, the house was at the desired temperature, despite a rising outside temperature. Bill made sure that I was satisfied, reminded me to call him, day or night, should any problems arise and made an appointment to come back in one week just to make sure all was well. I was left with a feeling of trust and confidence in Bill and Select, knowing that the only thing I absolutely had to remember was Bill's phone number! It was a very rewarding and satisfying experience and I would not hesitate in the least to heartily recommend Select Air Conditioning for all your AC systems needs, including new installs or repairs on existing equipment. I am looking forward to a long term relationship with Select Air and less stress in my life in the "extra hot" summers of Texas.

The gentleman was extremely professional, very polite, checked my air conditioning unit (it's old), confirmed eventually it would have to be replaced, but said as long as it was doing okay, leave it. He went up in my attic and checked the evaporator. He said that was where it was likely leaking freon. He recharged my unit and said we should wait to see if the unit needs to be recharged again, and if so, he would then do a more thorough inspection of the evaporator unit. He was extremely polite, professional and I felt very comfortable with his services. It was a Sunday afternoon (very hot) and he didn't tack on a bunch of "overtime" or "time and a half" fees on top of his standard costs. I would HIGHLY recommend this company!!! If I could give them a better rating than A, I would do it!

Called Select and set up appointment for the next day. If it was an emergency he would have come the same day I called. Bill came when he said he was coming, diagnosed the problem, showed and explained to my husband. Had to leave and get a part but came right back and replaced it. Unit workiing great. Select Air is now our A/C company.

Very good, professional, didn't try to oversell anything, honest, and friendly. I believe Bill truly wants to satisfy his customers without gouging their pockets.

Select air came to fix my heater and made repairs. I decided to purchase a yearly service contract and they waved my fee for this service call. I was very pleased with Select Air's service.

They were great. I called them and they came the same day. It was an emergency and they came in evening and did the work. He provided us with a quote, went and got the part and came back, and completed the work. The price was reasonable and was less that the estimated quote.

He is very good. He is great. He charged me $255 for two heating elements that he had to replace and he charged me $140 I think for the initial visit he came out. A heating element was unwired for some reason and he had to rewire it and order the new ones. He didn’t charge me any extra for the extra time he spent doing that, he just charged me for the part. I liked everything about him. There was noting that I disliked. The quality of his work was great. I have used him more than once and my mother also uses him. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future.

He did a wonderful job for us - was very professional and prompt. We would use him again and have actually used him in the past. I was surprised to find out that he was not on Angie's List. My mom has also used him for her heating/air conditioning problems and has been very, very pleased with his service. I highly recommend this company!!
