Romney Pest Control

Was referred to them by a family member that also loves them. It was a simple call to their office, they went over the service with me and we scheduled the service. The service man was there on time, was courteous, friendly and asked if there were any concerns or issues I was noticing. Before he asked me to sign the invoice, he made sure I was happy with the service. I love that they are paperless and do everything by phone and email. I will be referring them for sure!

They were very professional and courteous. They got the job done and made it look very clean. They got in all the corner and made sure that no bugs would get away.

The technician showed up on time and was extremely friendly. The thechnician seemed very thorough. He treated the foundation, the yard and swept the eves. I also noticed that he walked my yard and treated fire ant mounds that I didn't even know I had. We have been bug free ever since.

This was the 3rd company we used in the last year and the first one to finally rid our home of the big brown spiders as well as the ants. Luis has been our tech and he is just great! We highly recommend Romney Pest Control and are happy to have take our home back. Jazmin

Romney has been treating our home for over 3 years now and we couldn't be happier with the results! We only have the inside treated a couple of times a year because their exterior treatment keeps the bugs at bay, and we love that they pressure treat the foundation. The office is very accommodating to schedule services, usually the next day or two, against our busy schedules. Their Service Technicians are very professional, friendly and customer service oriented. They always greet us at the door and make sure to go over any areas of concern, and never hesitate to take care of an issue that I mention. We love Romney and continue to refer friends and family to them because we can ensure that they are in good hands!

A man came buy the house selling a deal for treatments discounted price. What a deal I thought. Explained that I could have them anytime and postpone a treatment till the next month. Ultimately it cost over 3 times the quoted price. I don't like being deceived. The service was not thourough, especially in the house. I finally learned to follow the man around and point to every area I wanted sprayed. I would not recommend this service.

At the time we had a scheduled maintenance package with Romney. We asked them to come out between scheduled treatments to address ants and mud daubers. The ant issue was important for us because our daughter got a staph infection from a bug bite requiring a Dr. visit and antibiotics. The technician got lost on the way to our house and arrived very late. I will admit our house is in a new development that does not show up on all maps, but we provided a phone number to call and they had been to our house before. I was not initially concerned about the timing. I explained to the technician about treating the yard and asked what these mud packs developing on my house were. At the time I did not know, but now know they are mud dauber nests. The technician said he was not sure what they were but would address. He treated the lawn and said he could not address the mud dauber's nest. He mentioned nothing of how the granules should work or timing and then left. Since he was so late arriving I feel that he rushed through the service and did not do what was asked. I called the office the next day to explain my concern and the person on the phone confirmed the granules should have been watered in, and since they were not and my lawn service came the next day, there was a good chance it was all blown away. They were going to send someone out again to address. The next technician arrived on time and could better understand what I was looking for. He put the granules down again and confirmed a short watering was necessary. He addressed about half the mud dauber's nest but left the rest untouched. He mentioned that his poll was missing so he could not remove the webs and nest around my house that were high up, only those his hose could reach. So again, he left with the service only partially complete. At this point I was OK with what happened but a neighbor down the street was switching from Romney to another provider and based on the last two experiences made the switch as well. When I called Romney to discontinue my service they notified me I would be charged the $100 discount applied to the first service since I did not complete the full year contract. This is where I became extremely disappointed. I had two technicians out on the same job and both times they left if partially complete. Romney's expectation was that I would stay with them and continue giving them chances to get it right. They even confirmed the one technician had been let go from the company. I personally don't have time to keep setting up appointments to have a service provider try to get it right. I also think it is a little upsetting that they bait you in with a low initial price ($100 off), and then when they do subpar work, use the $100 as leverage to keep you. I am now out the $100 deposit from Romney and had to pay another provider an initial service fee (they all charge this) to get what should have been done from Romney in the first visit. Mistakes happen. I just was really hoping Romney would see this was their mistake and part ways, but to charge me in the end is just irresponsible and bad business. Romney got in early in my neighborhood, but two of us have already made the switch and I will share this experience with others and the builders.

Started quarterly service with them in Sept 2014. They've actually been able to control the scorpion population inside my house. I now see very few compared to what I was seeing when we first moved into this home last year. Their technician is very punctual which is very helpful because I have to be home when they spray the inside of my home.

It went great. The tech was awesome & very thorough.

Our technician's name was Clayton and he was the best! He showed up right on time and was very professional. He introduced himself and explained exactly what he was going to do. We have just moved into a newly built home and noticed that ants were getting into my 8 month old son's room and biting him! When I told Clayton that, he made it his mission to make sure that he got all of those ants!! He sprayed in interior of our home and then went to town on the exterior. When he was finishing up and explained all that he did he spotted a black widow by our front door. He stepped on it with his boot, but couldn't find "the body". We both looked around for a bit, but couldn't find it. He said he was almost positive that he got it. He handed me our paperwork and then I closed and lock the front door. About 2 minutes later, I heard a knock at the front door. It was Clayton and he wanted to show me that he had found the body of the black widow and it was dead. I cannot thank him enough for going the extra mile and doing that! I would've been very freaked out trying to find that spider! If you need ANY pest control these are your guys! They are great. Not only do they use products that are safe for children and pets, you cannot bet the price!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

They did a phenomenal job on my house. I had spiders and ants in and out side of my house and after they did the service I could see a huge difference. The technician was great and made sure that he treated the specific area I pointed out to him and more. The service was great.

The service technician came an hour early...which worked out well for me. He was cordial and professional. He sprayed the inside rooms and then outside around the perimeter of the house. Also, spread fire ant granules on the lawn and put bait on some rat traps left by a previous company. He checked the attic but didn't bait it as he didn't think the droppings he found were likely to be new given the attic temperatures. He said he would recheck in October...the next scheduled visit. So, for their first time at the house, I thought the Romney company did a decent job. But I'll know better in the coming months if their products are effective.

I called because of a terrible flea infestation. My son had a contract with Romney and recommended them. They could not come for the initial visit for several days after I called. When the tech came, he was punctual and professional and did his job. Within 5 days I called them back because I could see no difference in my flea population. It was 3 days before they could come. Again, the tech was punctual and professional. 6 days later, I had to call again. This time I waited 2 days. The young man who came was very concerned and checked previous receipts to see what had already been done so he could try something else. It has been 9 days and I have seen no difference in the amount of fleas than when I first called this company. Today I called and told them my very young grandchildren are getting covered and to please come again and bring something stronger. I was told it will be Wednesday before someone can come. I took a contract for 4 quarters to save money. However, if the 4th time is not successful, I will be cancelling.

We have done business with Romney for several years and in two different houses. This treatment was the first time in a while that we asked for inside treatment. Eldon was extremely polite and professional. He was very thorough in treating all areas. He even found two large wasp nests in our playground gym set. We have always been pleased with Romney as a company. They call to set up a time for treatment ahead of time, and their techs have consistently shown up when they said they would. It is a pleasure to do business with them. With techs like Eldon, we look forward to dealing with them for a long time.

. Romney pest control came the first time and applied a basic treatment to the apartment guaranteed for thirty days. Five days later they returned to bombard the same property as the resident was still being bitten. Amazing and gracious in light of the coming ice storm they stayed on schedule and made it . One the gentleman arrived he totally bombarded the place with a treatment that will likely take care of everything. I appreciate them so much and would highly recommend the company. Due to the bad weather that day they continually gave me updates on where they were and how far away they were... wonderful service!!

We were looking to set up a pest control service to keep the creepy crawlers away from the house. I called Romney and they were very informative and gave lots of detailed information on their process. The price was very reasonable especially with the Angie's List coupon. The service included the house and up to 30 feet from the house, front and back yard. The technician arrived right on time and went over the paperwork then began spraying the house. He spent time spraying the outside and made sure the chemicals were spread up the outside of the walls. He then spread granules outside all the way to the street. All of the chemicals were pet friendly which is good since we have two large dogs. I'm very happy with their service!

I had big ant problems when I moved into my New Home. I found Romney here on Angielist . They Did a Full Inside and outside treatment on my house and got rid of all of my Ants and spiders.

It is easy to schedule and I set the account up for auto pay. They called ahead of time and even if I don't call back, they still come for the service. I have no complainants at all.
