Petri Pools

Petri Pools worked with us to stay within our budget on our pool renovation and their communications throughout the process was excellent. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend Petri Pools.

After doing my fair share of research on pool remodel companies, I decided on Petri Pools as a result of great reviews and meeting with Justin on the scope of what my project would take. We are first time homeowners with a 30 year old pool that had given us multiple leak troubles over the first 4-5 months in the house, so while I knew pool work would come in the future, this soon was definitely unexpected. Justin and his crew were the definition of awesome; I couldn't be more happy with their work, professionalism, and focus on customer service. They took time to explain each step of the project and why they would need to do the work they were doing. Justin worked with me to get the lowest possible cost and tried to save money in places he felt weren't necessary right now, all so this unintended project did not break the bank. The entire project faced numerous unexpected problems - concrete in random areas of the ground, an unlevel pool, problems with rain, along with planning around an unrelated company(for a separate project) with horrible communication. Throughout all of these problems, Petri Pools remained professional and alert, very courteous, and tried to save time where they could in other areas of the project to get it finished in a timely manner. Overall, with such a great experience on my pool remodel, I have decided to use them for weekly pool maintenance as well. I trust that they will deliver and that my money is being spent on a great company. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs help with anything pool related!

We couldn't be more pleased with the work Petri Pools has done for us. As first-time pool owners, we were clueless about our pool when we moved into our new house. Petri to the rescue! We are using Petri for weekly maintenance as well as repairs. Mike, who manages the electrical/mechanical side of things, has repaired and updated our system. He truly took his time explaining how things work to both me and my husband. He knows his stuff and is so helpful to those of us who don't! When we had an issue with another pool company that resurfaced our pool (we learned our lesson the hard way and regret not using Petri for this as well), Justin made sure that our pool was up and running in time for our daughter's pool party. Petri is definitely focused on customer service. If you are looking for a pool company you can trust, go with Petri Pools.

Says it was too far to drive to Grand Prairie which is 30 miles from their location. The areas marked say "entire area" and has where it says $85 trip charge if not in Lewisville but they wouldn't even come to Grand Prairie. Need to change your information. 30 miles for a full pool remodel should be worth it to a small company.

Petri Pools provides our weekly maintenance service but most recently completed a big project in our backyard. We resurfaced and retiled the pool and it looks great! Justin helped us determine whether we could keep the existing flagstone (which we did). In addition, we wanted to extend and re-surface the decking, which he arranged and supervised. There were weather delays (inevitable in Spring in Texas - it's not a great idea to pour concrete in the rain or on top of mud), so Justin kept us up to date on the status of the project so we knew what to expect and came by when we had questions we couldn't articulate over the phone. His crew worked with our pool fencing company so they were able to re-set the holes for the fencing before the resurfacing was complete. He was (and continues to be) very patient with us as we are still learning about our pool and its inner workings (it was not well-maintained before we bought the house). One of the things I really appreciate about Petri Pools is that they respond promptly and arrive when they say they will. I never get a "I'll be there sometime tomorrow" from Justin - I always know when to expect him and he's never a "no-show". That type of reliability and responsiveness is difficult to find. We are very happy with the results and would hire him again. Since he did such a great job, we won't have to for a while!

I contacted Petri Pools to obtain a quote to fix the plaster in my pool as I was seeing a lot of black areas that used to be blue. Upon meeting with Justin at Petri Pools, he provided pictures of different looks and then provided several options from cheaper budget friendly fixes to higher yet economical long term fixes. I like honest people that are willing to put everything in writing so from day one I felt good about these guys and all I had to do was select what options I wanted based on my budget and it was that easy. I chose to do a complete renovation that included new equipment, flagstone, coping, tile and opted for a pebbled bottom vs the plaster. Justin took the time to show me the different look and colors one can get with different materials and it was then I knew I wanted a darker lagoon style and Petri was just the company to give it to me. This company is great to work with. Justin visits the job site regularly and ensures everything is top notch and going smoothly. As an example of his dedication to exceptional quality and service, I was out of town when I received a phone call from my house sitter that my pool had been drained. I called Justin and said he was having it redone because he didn?t like how the pebble looked and the shells were not scattered to his liking. He just visited the job site didn?t like how it looked and had it completely redone. He could have walked away and I would probably never have known it didn?t look right but he didn?t ? he knew it wasn?t right and fixed it. Now that is taking pride in your job, your company and taking care of your customers! Another thing I love about this company is that they have different technicians and specialist that handle specific things so you get very experienced individuals for the different aspects of any pool repair or maintenance need. The guy that takes care of water chemistry is not the same guy that installs the equipment nor would you want it to be. Mike was my equipment guy and was always in stealth mode ? in and out every morning pulling old equipment and installing new. He is awesome! Not your typical ?do what is only on the service ticket? kind of guy but rather that thoughtful future forward thinker. As an example, he installed a gas valve on my existing gas line pipe so I could easily run a line to my grill and convert it to natural gas and not have to use propane tanks anymore. Always cleaned up the area before leaving, hauled off old equipment as well as all the big bulky boxes. Mason was also very maticulous spending several hours chipping away concrete pieces from the backside overhang that no one would have known was even there. These guys are top quality people and I highly recommend Petri Pools for any Pool Job!

They were great guys. If you ever have a problem they come out in the day and check it out.

When we started them several years ago, Justin did the pool service himself. Then I think he grew the company and other workers started coming to do the service instead of Justin. It appeared many of the pool service people were not that pool knowledable and just wanted to get in and out as quick as possible. They would leave the pool with leaves in it, let algae grow in the pool and not treat for it, and add too much or not enough salt to the pool. The pool chemical balance had been off for several weeks before they finally sent someone out that knew what they were doing and found the problem. In the mean time we had salt collecting on the bottom of the pool.
