The shop work is always done in a professional manner, on time and at a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: I had an antique outboard motor lower unit with a broken skeg. They fabricated a replacement and welded it on. The weld was perfect. I put my antique outboard motors in shows so the motor has to be perfect. McGill Welders are the best! I had a 1952 Mercury outboard where the transom clamps were broken. The Mercury repair msnual said that the clamp castings cere not weldable. These guy were able to weld repair the clamps. The motor is on my fishong bost and working great. They also welded a repair on my antique boat trailer, saving me the cost of buying a new trailer.

Awesome service, very friendly, explained all of the options including that the tank may be unrepairable and why. Super value and definately will send them more business. Good welders are impossible to find these days, and these guys are Excellent. Having the `McGill` puppy great you are your car made the place even more palatable to my wife. :) Note, visiting a welding/fabricator shop is not exactly a trip to Neiman Marcus for the wifee.... :)
Description of Work: We had McGill weld / patch an aluminum tank for us.

I brought the piece in to be welded and it was ready the next morning. This place seems to do lots of welding for trailer hitches and boats. They provided a fast, quality service for my small project. I was very pleased!

I have had my boat for 5 years now. The trailer has never worked correctly. We originally brought the trailer to McGill for a tire lodged into the top of the fenderwell and corresponding damaged axle. McGill had seen the problem before (Magnum in Austin had never seen that problem). McGill fixed that and also found that our master cylinder was bad on our trailer brakes so that we had no brake fluid in the brake lines in the trailer. He repaired all of these things and our trailer is finally working correctly. I would highly recommend these guys for any trailer needs in the metroplex. They are worth the trip to Lewisville. Ron McGill, the owner, works in the shop and knows everything there is to know about trailers. I will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Trailer brake mechanism repair.
