The plumber arrived 10-15 minuutes later & put on disposable covers on his shoes and came into my house. He saw the problem and I asked about having a shut-off valve installed, which he said he could do. He enusre I had turned off the gass and water and then asked me to sit with him to go over the costs. He showed me his price book so that I would know he was not making up pricing. We agreed on the price, to include an emergency after-hours call charge (totally acceptable), and he got to work. Took him about 30 minutes, then he asked me to inspect. I got cooper connectors - and he sautered them, too!, and he installed a turn valve. Edward Long was the plumber - and he was kind, very professional, and quite respectful. I would specifically ask for him when I need a competent and fairly priced plumber.

called several pluming outfits , they all wanted money up front before even checking where leak was . one Big name wanted $500 , one showed up without even the equiptment to search for the leak much less fix it. so I called C&W , out within a hour ready to go to work , all tools and equiptment ready , gave me the estimate and began searching for leak , charge of $65 to be removed if I took their estimate...work took almost 6 hours to find ,bust thru slab, a huge amount of mud and water to remove , then fix the leak....had to wait for city inspector , 4 and 1/2 days!!! I then notified C&W and they quickly repaired the holes in the floor I am completely pleased with the work , no surprises , cost was $3045 , total very reasonable when compaired to the other so called plumbers , a deal I will use C&W in the future on a "first to be called" basis and NO , they did not cause a mess in the kitchen

Was able to get a same day appointment and got great results. A different company had quoted us nearly $2000 to replace the flange on our master bedroom toilet after he broke it - called C&W for a second opinion. Rod was extremely knowledgeable and helpful - able to simply adjust and repair the flange without costly and unnecessary work. Highly recommend - we will call them for all our future plumbing needs.

They were very nice and professional. They were also flexible with the payments and communicated well. We had a very good overall experience with them.

I have used C&W Plumbing several times at my current and previous homes. I have always been very pleased with their service. The plumber that came today was very friendly and did great work. I am very pleased with C&W (again).

They were very responsive and helpful. They found a blocked line and they mentioned that it may be on the city side and I should notify them of the issue. It turned out the block was on the city side and they came out and fixed it the next day. I was impressed with the company not doing the work and charging me for something that was the cities responsibility. They were quick and they were courteous with the service. They kept me informed along the way and I found that to be helpful.

A very professional job was done. The team performing the work was thorough, explained what was being done and why. The office staff accommodated our schedule and the weather. The jobsite was left clean, all holes were filled and any trash was hauled away. Yes, C and W seem expensive, especially for a pensioner, but the quality of work performed and the professional attitude of the crew doing the work, warrant the fee charged. This is not the first time I have utilized their services and it will not be the last! Thank you, C and W.

My daughter came home to a leaking water heater in her attic above the garage. She called C&W who were able to come out first thing Monday morning for replacement. She said the plumber did an excellent job, replaced both water heaters and found another leak in her outside faucet. Everything was fixed, the plumber was very knowledgable and everything passed inspection with no problem.

The employee was very professional and seemed very knowledgable but the estimate was astronimcal for the work that needed to be done. I am in the process of selling my house and wasn't looking for an overhaul but simply a code worthy fix to the leak. When all was said and done, the estimate for cutting off the gas line altogether was over $700. This was inclusive of a $393 permit pull and pressure test. If I wanted the repair done, it was going to "require" an entire new gas line to the tune of $2800+. I of course went for a 2nd opinion. The other plumbers charged $70 for the permit pull and a total bill of $340. This repair passed for inspection by both the city and the gas company. I had used C&W previously and felt their prices were high ($550 for a new toilet) but after this I can assure you I will not be reaching out to them for services ever again.

We are moving back into our home after a major remodeling project. After the washing machine was returned to its place I turned the water connection back on. Water started leaking though the top of the faucet handle. We called C&W. They were able to make a service call on the following day. The service tech informed me of the various possibilities required to fix the problem; least expensive of which was to replace the packing around the gasket inside the existing faucet fixture, Good news for me was that the repacking option repaired my leak. (I have just re-textured and painted my walls and I did not relish the idea of cutting into the walls to repair the pipes.) I have used C&W in the past. They are most professional and reliable.

Water heater burst while on vacation. C&W was able to respond on same day as I made the call and request. C&W rep was able to coordinate and cooperate with with ServPro workers who cleaned out the wet drywall and carpets. I was very pleased with C&W's responsiveness and professionalism. I was pretty surprised at the cost as it has been 10+ years since I replaced a water heater. Prices have tripled since then. Saying that, the price charged was consistent with the quotes listed from several reviews of many plumbers here an Angie's List.

They were so quick in response to replacing my water heater and always called to let me know they were on the way. This turned into a 2 day job. The serviceman who did the work was professional and helpful.

I actually have a contract with them. They were always a little early, and they keep in touch. After the work was done, someone called from the office to make sure that everything was thoroughly done. They wanted to make their customer happy. They're very professional!

He replaced the copper pipe that split and installed a new faucet. Did quality work. This is the second time I've used them. Both times they were very prompt and came on the day I called. They quoted the job by the project versus time and materials and I like that...no extra fees or hidden costs. Their prices overall seem a bit high to me and the last project I had I called another plumber to save some money and he did a good job as well. I would probably use them again but would likely try and shop around if I have the time and the reason for calling a plumber is not an emergency.

C&W has always done exactly what we needed on each of, at least, 4 calls in the last 4 years. The men that have been sent out have been very competent in each case.

They did a really great job, they are very honest and up front with you. I would highly recommend them to others

This company bent over backward- I had a HUGE emergency on a weekend - they were punctual, polite, and professional- highly recommend them

,The guys showed up and replaced the defective hot water heater and made some additional repairs to insure that if it leaked in the future, it would not flood into the house but out into the garage. They also checked the date on the other hot water heater and found it had expired. They had one delivered and installed it the same day. They made my whole disaster a lot easier to deal with. I have since had them do multiple plumbing updates and minor repairs. They are always on time, work efficiently, explain everything they do and why it is necessary. They have done such a quality job for me that I have keep their number on the fridge for all my plumbing needs. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs a good plumber.

I was doing it right but it was still too light outside to see the flame. I tried again when it got a little darker and then I could see that it was lit. I turned the dial and the burner lit from the pilot. Then I knew it was okay again. I don't like cold showers but I also don't like high rates for weekend emergencies that are really not emergencies. In this situation we could have easily been talked into a new water heater when it turns out we didn't need one. It's been working fine. We have no complaints for C&W and have used them about 3 times now. Jim

Ran cable in kit drain & unclogged checked water heater & advised replacement.

During the survey, they found that the faucets to the washing machine was stuck open, and no longer could be turned off. They offered to replace the faucets and connect new hoses that I had bought previously but had yet to install. Today, I then did the first load in the washing machine, and after the first rinse, I ended up 1/4 inc of water on the floor in the washroom. They had failed to secure the drain hose so that it wouldn't pop out of the drain pipe, from the pressure of the water discharge. I would have thought connecting a washing machine would a very basic a task for a professional plumber, and I therefore did think to check their work before I ran the washing machine. Luckily I have a tile floor in the washroom, so I could clean up the water after 20 minutes on hands and knees with a bucket and towel. I have previously had them install a new water heater, and it failed the City inspection, and they had to come back out to correct the installation. I have now secured the drain house, but after the event with the water heater and now this issue, I will look for another plumber. **** UPDATE May 2nd 2013 **** C & W Plumbing called today to follow up on this review, and apologized for the quality issues I have had, and said they strive to ensure a high quality in the services they provide. My experience they said, will used as an opportunity to train their staff, and they asked if there's anything they can do to make it right. I think that's an important step in my opinion. To see the company react on cases like this as an opportunity to improve, and further train their staff, is all I can ask of any company. I do appreciate their promptness, and with their attention to these issues, I might use them again in the future, and have adjusted the review accordingly.

Great work. Chance did the quote & the work. Professional & fast. Got inspected same day. His helper Edward was also very good.

I am pleased with the service. They are consistently prompt. They finish as quickly as possible. The technicians come in with footies over their shoes so they don't track anything into the home. They do excellent work and charge a fair price.

Generally their service is good. Overall, I am pleased. One of their plumbers did get a little lack-a-daisical, but he has been good in the past. The most recent gentleman did a good job.
