Custom Garage Works

JD and his brother Daniel were wonderful, extremely pleasant and explained each step as they ground the floor, then swept, then laid down the epoxy flooring and chips. Once that was complete, they said they would be back in 3 hours to lay the clear coat, and right on time they were back applying the clear coat. JD was professional and very engaging, giving suggestions and telling me to call him if there are any problems whatsoever. I can't recommend these guys enough, they are great!

I contacted Custom Garage Works based on all the positive reviews I saw on Angie's List. JD was very responsive and easy to work with. He arranged to meet me right away and gave me a quote for my two-car garage. He also explained CGW's process of diamond grinding and coating and how it was different than other installers who simply use acid and then epoxy. JD answered all my questions and we arranged a date for the installation. They showed up on time and finished their job as scheduled and did all the things as promised. We went with the Saddle Tan and the finished product looks great. The customer service was great and it was really nice to have a contractor do everything they promised when they promised it.

I contacted JD Justice of Custom Garage Works based on all the positive reviews I saw on Angie's List. The reviewers were absolutely spot on. JD was very responsive and easy to work with. He arranged to meet me right away and gave me a quote for my three-car garage. He also carefully explained to me CGW's process of diamond grinding and coating and how it was different than other installers who simply use acid and then epoxy. (Note - my homebuilder happened to come by on the day of installation and unsolicited commented to me that CGW was doing the installation the right way with the diamond grinding technique.) JD answered all my questions and we arranged a date for the installation. On the day of installation, JD's brother showed up with one other workman on time as promised. They finished their job as scheduled and did all the things as promised. We went with the Granite Gray flakes and the finished product looks fantastic. (Note - there were some post-installation fumes for awhile but it dissipated after a couple of days of airing out the garage.) I got several unsolicited comments from my new neighbors that they really liked the job that had been done. Afterwards, I did find two small rocks/pebbles that had been accidentally trapped underneath the coating, but when I contacted JD about them, he came personally and fixed them right away. The customer service was really great. Overall, I have been very pleased with this floor coating job and with CGW and would highly recommend their services. The only minor drawback in my view is that it is a little bit on the pricey side, but to be fair, I was doing a three-car garage and I did receive what I believe to be a high quality product with tremendous customer service. You definitely get what you pay for with CGW.

JD always answered all phone calls and emails promptly. He and his crew were always on time, polite, and did an Excellent job!

From the first time i spoke with the owner until the work was finished everything was clear concise and professional. when the completion date of our home changed he came on his weekend off to insure it didn't interrupt our move. I would highly recommend this company.

As I requested, they put up protective plastic to keep dust out of garage cupboards and from seeping into the house. They have worked quickly and it looks great. Daniel is very easy and agreeable to work with.

It was okay and they did good work. Their workmanship is awesome. They did what they said they're going to do, they were professional and the guys were courteous. The only opportunity I would tell them is that be clear with the phone.

Daniel showed up at the appointed date and time (8:30) to do all the grinding and clean up on the old floor. The old epoxy had been applied when the house was built 17 years ago, so it was quite a job to clean up. JD joined Daniel later in the morning to patch all the holes and cracks in the existing floor, and the two of them completed the epoxy application by early afternoon. Since it was an unseasonably cool day, they recommended giving the epoxy 24 hours to dry completely. Both JD and Daniel came back the afternoon of the second day to complete the application of a clear coat sealer, which really brought out the color and made the floor sparkle. The floor was very sticky initially after the application of the sealer, but we could walk on the floor the following day (day three), and then we could pull our cars into the garage on day four. The difference in the floor is night and day...we couldn't be happier with the work performed or the professionalism of both JD and Daniel. We would highly recommend them!!

JD confirmed our appt date and time and told me the names of the people he'd be sending to perform our installation. They arrived promptly, did the necessary prep work and began coating the floor. When finished with this coating, they informed us, they'd be leaving for a while, allowing the floor to dry and would be back. The two men returned a while later and continued the application, moving on to the texture, followed up with the top coat. They were very detailed, making sure all of the concrete in the garage was evenly and nicely covered; floor, up the walls a few inches and the steps. The entire process took approximately half a day. We let the floor dry, and they also put up warning tape, criss-crossed on the exterior of garage door and the interior of the laundry room, making sure anyone coming by as we were moving into our new house, this area was out of boundary for everyone. The following morning, the floor looked fabulous!!!! Including the steps, which are easy to discern from the floor. Better yet, all was perfectly dry. Just as we were told, the floor would be and it has withstood the dragging of metal shelves against it with no sign of scratching. I had to do this as the shelving was too heavy for me to lift, so I wouldn't recommend this method of moving normally. We are so proud and pleased with our new floor, my husband and I both agreed, we should've done this on our earlier homes, as it would've made them that much more enjoyable for us and this clearly is a great feature to have when you sell home. A couple of our neighbors stopped by for a look and asked who did our floor. The entire experience with JD, his brother, Daniel and John was excellent and we're happy to recommend them without hesitation.

Everyone was punctual and professional. They performed as promised and on time. The end product was exacting and the highest quality in craftsmanship. Truly a great product and experience. The finish is sure to last given their meticulous attention to application and detail. Thanks Custom!

Fantastic work. The garage looks beautiful. Additionally, J.D. was very responsive and extremely accommodating. We were working with a delay in closing of the new house, and we had perfect communication and flexible scheduling that allowed everything to be done in time and to our complete satisfaction. J.D. even gave us recommendations re: what colors to paint the walls and the floorboards for everything to look great.

JD is extremely professional, very punctual and very easy to work with. The floor in my converted garage/den had paint, grease stains, pock marks and cracks. The finished product was unbelievable! It's very attractive and not what JD promised - it is BETTER! I am very happy with his work. The price was consistent with what he estimated and I could tell that he and his partner take great pride in their work. I would highly recommend Custom Garage Works.

Excellent service, timeliness, and product quality.

JD and his crew installed an epoxy floor for my newly constructed 1600 square foot garage. I was very impressed with the finished product and dealing with JD was a pleasure. In today's world it is hard to find a contractor that provides a competitive price and then follows up with exceptional quality and service. If you are looking for any kind of floor coating I highly recommend Custom Garage Works because I have used other companies in the past and this is the first time I have been happy with the end result.

These guys did an outstanding job coating our garage floor. JD helped us choose the right color and pattern which best matched the interior of the garage as well as the exterior of the house. JD was able to accomodate my short notice request to have the project started the day after I closed on the house. JD gave me a complete breakdown on how the process would work, how long it would take (2 days) and when I could use my garage again (next day after work was complete). On the day of the project, Daniel was on time and even offered to help me off load my car of boxes and other miscellaneous items I had inside from moving. Daniel began promptly and finished ahead of time. Daniel let me know what to do and what not do, and said he would be back tomorrow to finish. Once again, Daniel was on time and began working immediately. Daniel was later joined by JD and they both quickly finished the project. The next day, I was able to use my garage. We are so pleased with the work these guys have done, our garage looks great. They are friendly, reliable, and do great work!

Showed up on time, disappeared and showed up to finish next morning when I had to leave for work. Need to improve communication, other than that quality of work is way above my expectations. The owner was very clear with instruction how to care for the floor. Overall we are very happy with this project. We will happily recommend this company to others.

JD provided us a very reasonable quote and timeline for the work to be done. We were on a tight schedule due to closing on our home. He worked with our schedule and made all the necessary adjustments to get the job done on time. Since we never had this type of job done before, he answered all our questions and explained the process that he was going to do. He provided a wide selection of colors and patterns. Bottom line, the work was done professionally, it looks great. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking to customize their garage.

JD at Custom Garage Works was a pleasure to work with, was extremely flexible to my work schedule, punctual and directly on-budget. JD and his team diamond ground my concrete garage floor, filled a few minor cracks, then applied their floor coating and chip broadcast to the floor. The job was finished off by a think and extremely shiny clear coat. The clear coat really makes the floor pop, yet it's very high-traction! All work was done promptly, on-time and exactly as specified. The team is extremely professional and clearly takes great pride in their craft. I highly recommend JD and Custom Garage Works and will certainly use them again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Daniel, one of the principles of Custom Garage Works, was here at 8am sharp, helped me with moving several heavy items from the garage and began work on the floor. He was joined by a helper, Mason, and completed the grinding, vacuuming, concrete patching and coating and flake applications (see above). The following day both J. D. and Daniel, both principals of Custom Garage Works, returned and applied the clear coating. They did a fantastic job, were prompt and courteous, answered all my questions. They are professionals. I am extremely pleased with the way the floor looks. It is really a show piece. I definitely would recommend Custom Garage Works.

We were moving into a new house (moving from California), and wanted to get an epoxy coating on the garage floor prior to moving in. All coordination with JD was over the phone or e-mail, including the quotation (I used an Angie's list special), color selection, and scheduling. Since we were moving from California at the time, I never actually met with JD and his crew. However, the results were simply outstanding. The floor was pristine, including an extra coat in the small "step" under the garage door where the car tires first contact the garage floor. I was also surprised to see that the epoxy (and color chips) were also applied on the vertical concrete curb under the drywall in the garage. All in all, it was a clean and professional installation (plus it looks great), and I would not hesitate to recommended JD and his crew to others.

They came out and gave me a quote on a two car garage space. They customized a color design to go with the blue and grey cabinets, work bench, and tool chests in our shop. We call it the "Dallas Cowboy Colors"! They quickly got me on the schedule, and completed the job with no problems! A month later, I had them complete the 2 car garage space with shop in the same color. It again was done quickly and looks great! When we completed construction on an additional 4 car garage a few months later, they were the first people we called. Now that garage space looks as wonderful as our other 2 garages. We couldn't be happier with the results, and the flooring makes our car collection look even better! They are very professional, efficient, and honest!

These guy's are great, very professional show up on time and when they leave you have a beautiful floor, can't wait to paint the walls. I can't say enough about the transformation of the space or JD.

Custom Garage Works was able to schedule the garage floor epoxy installation two days after I closed on a newer house in Allen. They arrived on time and completed the prep work efficiently. After pouring the epoxy, they came back a few hours later to complete the work and left a bag of extra chips. The floor looks great with lots of chips and is easy to clean. The only minor complaint is that there are a few places that look different when viewed at an angle since the concrete was not smooth. Other than that, the floor still looks like it did on the day after the installation.

The company was very nice and understanding. We are so pleased with everyone we have used from Angie's List!
