Beautiful floor, couldn't have asked for anything better. They started yesterday & are done today. It doesn't even look like the same place. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know & if I ever move from this place I will be hiring them again for the new place.

JD and his crew were punctual for the estimate and responsive to our questions and concerns. We looked at other companies, but felt JD offered the best verified results, even though he was a little more expensive. He arrived on time and completed the two day process on schedule. First of all, this was a great experience. JD was very responsive to email and phone calls. They were there on time and did an amazing job. They made suggestion as to the color they believe would work the best - and they were right on. The bull-nose they did on the lip of the floor makes the new flooring look like a custom built job. They clearly know what they were doing and take pride in their work. Even after they were paid, I called about a little bit of sealant that dripped over, and they came right away and fixed it. Though it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, it was well worth it and I am so happy about my decision to use them. I would highly recommend JD and Custom Garage Works and I would hire them again and again.

JD and Daniel showed up when they said they would for the estimate and the work. They were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, informative, and their work was excellent. They also recommended a storage pod with a discount which we used.

J.D. also offered suggestions on other items that could be done to my garage...things outside of what his company does. He was helping to make my garage a showroom type. The floor looks awesome.

Need a durable smooth floor in my newly constructed extension for workshop purposes and decided to go with the experience of someone who has performed flooring before. JD responded within a day's time and the process of looking over the project area and completing the work was smooth. He prepared the floor by smoothing it out and removing artifacts, applied a first and then a second thick coat. The quality of the floor that is finished definitely withstood heavy rolling of castered equipment leaving cleanable scuffs that I found I can rub out and perhaps even mop up. I even had a lower price in the end going with a floor that was used by Bell Helicopter for their workshop purposes. Overall, good work and good service and will recommend if you want a work floor done. As of October 2, 2013, The floor holds strong - minus some abuse in various areas. Three foot drops of objects, especially hand clamps, will dent the floor covering - but this does provide some cushion. Both dents and scratches do not go deep enough to hit concrete or expose the smooth concrete. Definitely can take abuse.

I'm moving into a new house with a 3 car garage. I wanted to have an epoxy floor installed in my garage because it makes it very easy to keep the garage clean and it looks good too. I contacted JD @ Custom Garage Works through his website. It did take him a couple of days to respond because apparently my response form was in his spam folder. But he did contact me and was able to come out the same day to give me a quote and provide details of the work that was done. He was very good at explaining the entire process and how long it would take. He also told me that his process didn't use any acid on the floor to do the etching (i.e. doesn't create any environmental issues). I explained to him that we were moving into the house in about 10 days and the week before I would be out of town and wouldn't be able to let him into the garage. He said he would do the work on the Saturday and Sunday before our move. On Saturday morning he called me about 20 minutes before he arrived at the house and he did arrive at the time he had promised. He was there with one assistant and they went to work immediately. The only thing I had to do was make sure the garage was emptied out. It took about 5 hours to clean the garage, etch the concrete, spread out the epoxy and the flakes, and finish the work. Because of the cooler temperatures he said it would take a little longer to cure. He returned on Sunday morning and sealed the floor with two coats of a clear gloss. He asked me to wait until the next day (Monday) before I walked on the surface. The results were amazing. The floor looks excellent. JD did excellent work, arrived when promised and finished the work as promised. I would certainly recommend him to anyone and would use him again if I ever have another garage.

Based on Angie's List, and thanks to other member's comments and experiences, we found JD of Custom Garage Works. I always wanted a finished garage floor, and with moving into this new house, I decided it was time to look into. I figured it was one of those things that if I didn't do it now while the garage was empty, it might never get done once all of my tool cabinets, equipment, storage, stuff etc. are moved in. Check out his website - it has a lot of great info on the install process, examples and chip/color samples, as well as why his process is so superior, and has a lifetime warrantee, compared to typical epoxy type installations. I met JD at the house exactly on schedule, and he took the time to explain the process, costs, and take a look at the job of course. Quote was provided next day, and date was set for the job. I'd point out that "price" is Not inexpensive by any means, but this is a case of you get what you pay for both in prep and quality of the materials...AND how long it is going to continue to last looking great. Another point to not forget is that state of TX considers this type of flooring application (and any like it) fully taxable (material and labor cost), so keep that in mind...another 8.25% :( JD and team arrived on the day as sheduled and it was completed by 5:30pm that afternoon. I checked in during the day to see the different phases being done ... cool to see all the work and care that went into it. Besides the quality of the stystem overall, I was most impressed by the attention to detail in the prep and finishing work. It's all very manual labor, and nice to see the care being put into each step and No corner-cutting. If you look at the pictures you can see where they carefully got in and around and under the garage door hardware as well as the lip under the drywall all around. They also bull-nosed all the square edges on the garage opening lip and the back step as well. One interesting with the final result is that even though the floor has a glassy/wet 3D look to it, it is physically not glass-smooth slipery. JD's application results in a good slip-resistance texture to the surface. So while spills etc. are very easy to wipe up due to the hard "glassy" surface, you also have slip resistance while walking on it. See pictures... wet and glassy but textured at same time. As far as personal interactions, JD is a knowledgeable, easy-going guy to talk plans over with, and during the install he won't hesitate to take time to explain what's going on, or address any questions. Once the job was done he also made sure to go over the basic easy-care instructions and how to address different siplled liquids, car AC water or other drips, etc. Wipe and go basically or a little diluted Simple Green for the tough spills. The install only took one day as promised, and we let it dry overnight. The results are superb and will be enjoyed for many years to come! We would not hesitate to recommend JD, and in fact he's coming back to do the floor in the house we're moving out of.

He will listen to what you want, make suggestions based on his experience, and do what he says he will do when he says he will do it. He and his helper are fast and efficient, not wasting any time. Found JD and Custom Garage Works on Angie's List. JD came out a few weeks ago to give us an estimate. He was on time for our appointment and very helpful in explaining the process and the quality of the products they use compared to other companies. We scheduled an appointment for him to come back on May 9 to have our garage floor done. JD confirmed our scheduled date the week before and JD & Scott arrived on time on May 9th to start the garage floor. We recently bought our house and the previous owners had badly neglected the garage floor, it was in poor condition. JD & Scott completed the garage floor on May 10 and we could not be happier, the floor is absolutely beautiful! We chose the blue/grey combination and could not be more pleased with the craftsmanship and the quality of the finished garage floor--we almost do not want to park our car in the garage---it seems to nice to get dirty. After interviewing 6 companies in the DFW area to coat my garage floor it became obvious that JD Justice and Custom Garage Works was the hands down best company. JD is involved with the entire project from the initial visitation and quote to the actual installation and does not hire out his work to contractors. I called JD to set up an appointment for an estimate to install an epoxy floor coating on my two car garage. He was able to come out the next day and give me an estimate. I contracted with him to do the installation and he was able to fit me in the following week. He performed his services exactly as he described them to me. He and his associate showed up exactly when they said they would and completed the project in one day as they promised. The completed floor looks fantastic and makes the garage look like a showroom floor now. JD, the owner, did the estimate and the work in two days. It was a professional job in the time that he told us it would take. He was able to fit us into his schedule the next week before the movers showed up with our household goods. The floor looks great, not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Well worth the money.

From start to finish, everything went just as we were told it would. We were pleasantly surprised at how well it went and with how quickly we could get back on the garage floor! Great service! We are pleased with the finished results and find that we want to spend more time out in the garage than before!

Duane arrived at the scheduled time, and with his partner, worked extremely well as a team. Along with my son, we had moved everything out of the garage into my shed, but Duane had offered a storage unit delivered if I needed it, at a reduced price. They immediately diamond-cut the floor and filled any small cracks and holes in the existing concrete. They also "bull-nosed" the garage door entry "lip" as well as the step leading into the house, giving it a rounded appearance. Next came the "glue", followed by the chips, matching the color scheme we had selected. Friday, they returned and first removed any excess chips, then applied the clear coat, giving it a great finished appearance. Duane even recommended what color paint for the walls, as well as applying a brown or black stripe about electrical outlet level to accent the floor. Sunday and Monday allowed me to apply paint and put the stripe around the wall, and the garage now looks like it could be lived in, not park vehicles. Both of the crew were very friendly, and answered any questions I had. I would definitely recommend Custom Garage to anyone. Keep up the excellent work.

I called Custom Garage Works in January for an estimate. JD, the owner, was very responsive and we set up an appointment for a couple of days later. He came out and described the process to put the epoxy-like coating on our garage floor. He also offerred ideas on garage storage solutions, such as cabinets, moveable cabinets on casters and overhead storage racks to get stuff off the garage floor. He was not pushy into any of his products, but answered many of my questions on the process and the cost. He brought along samples and an array of colors of finished floor coatings. Many looked just like granite! He beat the prices of another place (even with their Angie's List discount) and offerred a lifetime guarantee on the flooring. We set up the overhead racks install about 2 weeks later and the floor coating install for a few days after that. They arrived on time for the overhead racks and again days later for the floor coating. They cleaned out the garage floor, blowing and vacuuming everything out. We had previously emptied out the garage. They diamond grinded the concrete to create a rough surface so the materials adhere to it better. They cleaned it again and then they painted the floor the base coat and moved ahead with the several step process. They came back the next morning and finished with the last sealant coat. They also applied the coating to a countertop so it would hide the damaged top and give it new life. It looks super! We waited another 24-30 hours to drive on the floor because the temps had been in the 40s and 50s in February and we wanted to make sure it had cured fully. JD followed up with me a week later to get any feedback and to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Everytime, he thanked us for our business. Overall, JD and his employee were on time, professional and sincere in providing us storage solutions that fit our needs and budget. Others we got bids from were more expensive and only provided a 2-3 year warranty on the epoxy floor coating (a different kind) they provide. It was a no brainer for us: a lifetime guarantee and a better price. Today, we are so glad we made the investment and we are enjoying the space more than we thought possible. (We also painted the garage walls, ceiling, trim and doors, reorganized the wall Rubbermaid system we already had, and put in other storage solutions in on our own. J.D. and his staff did a great job. From the start, he was very prompt in response, and was flexible in arranging an estimate. While the price of this flooring is a bit high, it is well worth it in the end. From start to finish, this job was performed in one day. I highly recommend using he and his team (he personally works on each project), and we will definitely use him again if needed.

I contacted Custom Garage Works for an estimate on my two car garage floor. The floor had some chipped areas, stain, paint, oil, etc. It looked awful. JD came out and gave me a quote and a detailed explanation of what they would be doing. If you've been looking at some of the DIY options with epoxy, you won't find this a cheap solution. But, you get what you pay for. I did some research on the process they used and found it to be very solid technology that gives a great, long lasting finish that is very durable. JD does the work himself. No outsourcing. He kept me informed of expected start and stop times and was very punctual. I would recommend him him to anyone.

JD did a great job on my garage floor! I don’t think you can go elsewhere and get a better floor coating. The polyaspartic floor coating appears to be the best thing out there. JD actually diamond grinds the garage floor first, then he applies the base coat, flakes, and finishes with a sealer. The entire process only took 1.5 days. I was very happy with the experience from the estimate to the installation. It’s not a cheap floor but you get what you pay for and it has a lifetime guarantee. I’ve been on the new floor for several weeks now and it looks great!
