Custom Garage Works

JD and his team installed coatings on all garage floors in our new home. The installation was dual and single car garages. JD, his brother and a work colleague were extremely prompt and professional. Compounding the challenge facing them, this was done in the face of the recent ice storm and cold weather. They were able to start the job earlier than promised (they called to see if that was ok with us) and finished early. The work was done in the challenging temperatures and was done in a first class way. They even helped move some things out of the garage when they arrived early to start the job. I am very impressed with the final product and I would highly recommend Custom Garage Works to anyone looking to upgrade their garage. They do cabinets and other custom garage work as well. Great job, friendly and professional service -- what more can you ask for.

It went extremely well. He completed the project exactly when he said he would. My mother was in town visiting and she got to my house before I got home and JD was educating her on what he was doing. It meant a lot to me because he was not just looking to finish the job and move to the next; he was building rapport and educating her. I'm extremely happy with my garage and I can finally walk in the garage without cringing. BTW, I buy on Amazon Prime and read the detailed reviews daily of any product I buy (I'm also very appreciative of the individuals who write these) However, it's not in my nature to write detailed reviews, but I can say you will not be disappointed with JD's Custom Garage Works.

We just finished building a custom home and were so tired of dirty, dusty garage floors in our homes. We began researching garage floor coatings and ran across Custom Garage Works and J.D. on Angie?s List. After a fair amount of research, and then taking a look at the CGW website, we gave J.D. a call. Talking with him about his coating process we knew we had found the quality, durability, and customer service we had been looking for. With their custom flake and poly coating applied, our garage now looks and feels like a showroom. No dirt, no dust (not even during installation!!). The pride that this company takes in its business and workmanship shows in every detail of their work and encounter with you and your home. On time, professional and involved, J.D. was wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend him and Custom Garage Works to anyone looking to upgrade their garage. JD did an outstanding job throughout the entire process from first contacting, through providing an estimate for the project and selecting of the details, to the completion of the work. He was extremely responsive to all questions, went out of his way to help inform me of all of the ins and outs of the project, what options were available, was intuitive enough to make great suggestions when appropriate, and was 100% punctual on all scheduled appointments and on completion of the work. I will definitely recommend him to anyone I know who is considering a garage flooring project, and intend to work with him again when it comes time to install some additional storage in my garage. For the past few weeks I had met with numerous representatives of garage floor finishers/ coating treatments. One of these bid estimates was from J.D. Justice of Custom Garage Works. Mr. J.D. Justice was very personable, and was extremely knowledgeable of his product, application process, and all nuances of the installation process. His flooring samples were much larger than his competitors, which gave me a much better visualization of the final product. Other positives were: with normal atmospheric conditions the job could be done within one day, and the floor could be actually walked on the next day and autos driven on the second day, a lifetime warranty was included, and he had been in business in the area for over a decade. Probably the most important issue was his professionalism and the process went exactly as he described and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. My garage floor looks fantastic! Custom Garage Works completed my floors and bench top in one day in very satisfactory manner. Prior scheduling and communications were were also professional.

It was very good. They came in Friday morning and worked all day and I think that it was done by Friday afternoon and it looks great. I just have good things to say, I do not have any complaints at all. It was as advertised. They did an excellent job. It seemed like a reasonable price to me. I would use them again.

JD is excellent to work with and very professional. I was originally going to have my floors done earlier this year but unfortunately my wife lost her job and we had to postpone the job. JD was very understanding and stated that he would still honor the original quote whenever we are ready to do the work. Fast-Forward several months and my wife got a job and we reached out to JD and got the job scheduled two weeks later. The date that the job was supposed to be done which was Friday 9/20/13 it rained all day so JD stated that he could come on Saturday. I advised JD that I could not do Saturday since we were doing a garage sale and was very busy all day so JD agreed to come out on Sunday even though this caused his brother to miss dinner plans with his family. They were very accommodating. They agreed to show up at 8AM and they were here at 7:50AM and helped me move all of my stuff out of my garage and off of my patio and got to work. They were very friendly and had the floors looking awesome before the work was even done and the floors look really awesome completed. The neighbors are already commenting on how good they look and planning on getting theirs done in the future. I would highly recommend Custom Garage Works.

Process went very well. I originally contacted JD by phone, and he was very up front with everything in our discussion. Gave me a range of prices and explained the process. We ultimately scheduled for about 2 weeks out. I wasn't home when the work took place (my wife was), but she indicated there were no issues. They were very professional and the garage looks fantastic! I didn't rate them on the price because, frankly, I didn't shop around. The price quoted to me seemed reasonable, but I can't say whether it was above or below standard for this procedure. With that said, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and we are very satisfied.

From the estimate to completion of the work JD & his brother did an excellent job. The shop floor looks too good to hide! The patio was an after thought and we're so glad we decided to include it in the work order. It tones in beautifully with the pool deck and cedar posts - JD even made the surface non-slip when walking on it with wet feet! Great job, guys!

They first diamond grind the floor and use a hand grinder on edges. They then used a concrete filler to fix and imperfections in the floor. Next they cut in around the outside edge with the base coat adding chips in the wet coating. they then covered the main floor with base coat and chips...using a lot of vinyl chips. After a few hours they came back and cleaned up the extra chips and added a clear coat to finish the floor. It looks great! I am very happy, I wish I had this done years ago. This is not cheap but the quality is high, I looked up the coating on the internet and found it is expensive to purchase but also better than regular epoxy JD and his team use a lot of chips and do a great job. The only hard part is cleaning out the garage. My floor looks great ...thanks guys.

I have a large three-car garage with extra sq footage and two small closets. He did not charge me extra for filling the concrete holes to level the floor, and he did not charge me for the two closet floors. He was very responsive regarding the scheduling and promptly replied with answers to all of my questions. JD is a plesure to work with and I would highly recommend him and the service he provides to anyone interested. My garage now looks amazing!

J.D. came to meet us and inspect the garage floor. He told us about the process and what to expect. He was very quick to reply to calls and emails before the project started. Very impressive! The crew came as scheduled to begin the process, also very friendly and thoughtful. Their method was extremely thorough. They worked very steadily until the project was completed. They did an excellent job cleaning everything after the preparation of the floor was done. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the garage floor and would and will recommend Custom Garage Works to any and everyone. Very impressed with their dedication and quality of materials.

Absolutely fantastic. These guys are great. They were punctual, courteous and completed the job in the time frame they said they would. I've always wanted a finished garage and now mine is the envy of the neighborhood. Every time someone visits us they always compliment us on our garage. I'm going to have them back soon to install a storage solution in my garage next.

Just purchased my first home and decided to have the floors done before I moved in. JD was willing to work with my schedule and had the install done the same day. He also came in at $50 under budget. Can't say enough for JD and his crew, I would defiantly use him again.

They were wonderful! They came to the appointment early and finished early afternoon. The job was fantastic! I will use them again and refer friends to this business. The owner JD and his brother were so nice also. A pleasure to work with!

JD could not been nicer or more knowledgable about the process. I had several other estimates and they were using an inferior product for the same price! Most of the quotes were by sales people who didn't know their products and were just a rep for a cabinet company. JD knew all the answers to all the questions I had. And all the issues with other competitive products. He isnt lazy and just uses acid to etch concrete. He uses diamond grinders!! He is a true car guy and appreciates a impressive garage. The pictures on his website and garage just had me drooling and I knew I had to have him do my garage. He even helped pick colors for the garage walls based on the cabinets I had purchased. He truly has a passion for all things garage!

JD's brother showed up to my house on time and got to work immediately. He did an awesome job installing the garage racks putting them where I wanted them. Everything looks great and we would definitely use them again!
