Carlos was very prompt for the appraisal. Originally was just going to have the trees trimed because the branches were hitting the roof. Carlos explained that they were too close to the house (approx. 3 feet) and would eventually cause damage to the foundation. Gave me a good price with the Angie's List discount; even threw in trimming a tree in the front yard for free. Work was done quickly and professionally. Thanks Carlos!

Fabulous. I called for a quote, got an appt in just a few days, and Carlos arrived spot on time. He carefully went over exactly what they would do and gave me an estimate, which was emailed to me. He was polite as heck. I confirmed the start date, and again they started spot on time at 8am with a 4-man crew. I was impressed with how meticulous the whole process was. The men worked together (one standing back away from the tree, one holding the pole saw) to strategically remove branches in order to not impact the health and aesthetics of the trees. One man even squeezed between the house and a holly bush in order to hand-trim branches away from the house. They spent almost 3 hours on the property - more time than I thought they would (in a good way because they were clearly being meticulous throughout the process). They cleaned up very well (didn't even find any stray branches). One guy even used the leaf blower to get rid of a bunch of leaves that came from other trees surrounding our pool safety fence from even though I only asked them to trim one (small crepe myrtle) in the backyard. Price was reasonable. I'm sure you could get someone cheaper, and there are more expensive companies out there as well. These guys delivered great quality for the cost. They were highly professional throughout the entire process (scheduling, estimates, bill, payment). I would absolutely use them again. Carlos and his team have a great thing going here.

We need someone to come out right away to remove the tree, which they were able to do. The man that came out was very prompt and very efficient. He also did the work for a good price. They took care of the crisis and were able to get everything off the people’s driveway that same day. He was very understanding of my situation, which I appreciated. They were awesome and I would recommend them; I couldn’t have been happier.

It was excellent. The company verified the appointment, and its workers arrived on time and did a great job considering they had to avoid damaging the sprinkler system within my yard. Ultimately, everyone with whom I dealt was efficient and professional. I can't give them a high enough rating for their service!

A person came out to give an estimate. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done. He told me what they would do. The bid was comparable to another company I had contacted except that this company included hauling off the limbs and branches in their bid. I contacted the company to ensure that someone who came out to cut the tree spoke fluent English as past experience as shown that the person doing the estimate speaks English but the crew doesn't. I was assured that the crew lead spoke fluent English. The morning they arrived I saw their truck and the men but no one ever came to my door, they just started working. So I went outside and introduced myself. The crew leader did speak English but it didn't appear to be fluent. We were able to communicate though. I thought it was weird that they didn't knock on the door to ensure that they had the right address, that I knew they were starting, etc. The only other negative was that they destroyed a squirrel feeder my son had built and nailed to one of the trees being trimmed. One of the limbs came down, hit the feeder and demolished it. I was watching when it happened. No one came to me and told me what had happened and the "evidence" disappeared. Would have been nice if the crew lead (assuming he knew) had told me what happened. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't know. We would have moved the feeder if we'd been told we needed to. As to the job, they actually did a pretty good job. They did miss some dead wood they were suppose to get but other than that the trees were trimmed.The crew lead told me that someone from the company would be by later to talk to me and check the job. I never saw anyone. I got an email bill a few days later but no one asked how the work went, etc. Would recommend that (1) the crew knock on the door when they arrive and state who they are, ensure right customer (2) be more cognizant of customer property and if you destroy something, be up front about it (3) have someone come by or call and ask how the job went and was I satisfied - don't just send me an email bill.

Carlos, was quick to give an estimate and set up a date of service. They were willing to do the service while we were not home. I was concerned that one of the trees was still overhanging the roof somewhat. They came out the next day to trim it so it was further away from our roof.

I have a gigantic ash tree (soft wood) in my yard that hangs over not only my power lines, but my neighbor's as well. It has a history of dropping 15-30 foot limbs during storms, causing restless nights anytime the wind exceeds 5 mph. Complete Tree Services Inc. gave me a prompt appointment for an estimate, called to let me know in which part of the small window to expect them, and explained multiple options for addressing my concerns. They answered questions and made sure I understood each part along the way. They were able to make my tree more secure while looking out for its overall health, something no one else had thought to be an option. I also had two trees in the front trimmed to encourage healthier growth. They worked one full day and finished up the next morning, all within 3 days of my estimate. Everything was completed as planned on the estimate, and the cleanup was phenomenal! They took good care of my neighbor's yard, too. My only regret is that it took me so long to find them!

Carlos came out to review the job and discussed his recommendations in detail. He actually went branch by branch identifying which branch he would cut and where. This was extremely helpful because I wanted to raise the tree canopies to let more sun light to the plants/lawn beneath the trees without harming the trees. Carlos gave me a discount for my Angie?s list membership and included the tree cut sealant for free. His bid was still about $150 higher than the bid from another tree service firm and he offered to split the difference. I went with Carlos because he seemed knowledgeable, took time to understand my needs, and thoroughly explained his proposal. The 4 man tree trimming team arrived on time at 8:30 AM the day they were scheduled and Carlos arrived about 20 minutes later after the guys had set up their equipment. Carlos and I reviewed the plan again and then he explained it to the team lead. It took the 4 man team approximately 3 hours to trim my two oak tress which I thought was very fast considering the significance of trimming. They cleaned up after themselves and did not harm my landscaping. After I paid I noticed they did not cut one of the branches we agreed would be removed. I called Carlos and he instructed his team to return to my house immediately and remove the branch. Complete Tree Service was more expensive than the two other bids I received but they were very professional, knowledgeable, communicated well, and did what they said they would do.

I called complete tree service for an estimate and the same afternoon they sent Carlo's to my home. He evaluted the work that I needed done and we agreed on a price as well as a date for the work to be done. They were scheduled to do the work at 8:30 in the morning. At 8:25 the trucks rolled in. They did an excellent job as well as an excellent clean-up. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Removed a large, double-trunk blackjack oak tree that leaned well over the front of our house. Both trunks came down without incident. The crew accommodated my desire to keep sections of the trunk. The stump was ground out and chips left for reuse on the landscape. After the crew left, you could hardly tell they had been on site other than the pile of stump chips and the large open area where the tree had been.

The work performed was excellent. Obviously a professional job that was managed well. Carlos is top-notch. Price is definitely on the high end, though.

I had used Complete Tree Service to trim my trees when I first moved to Denton so after seeing the damage I called them on Monday, Carlos stopped by on Tuesday and the crew was here first thing Wednesday morning (thankfully they had a cancellation). The team came in and did their job quickly and efficiently and they cleaned up the entire mess. I looked carefully and there was no debris left out there. They also cut off a piece of the branch that I noticed had some discoloration so that I can take it a tree expert to see if there is a problem. As a homeowner it is great to hire a company that comes and does their job and does it well with a minimum of muss or fuss. I highly recommend Complete Tree Service!

Everything went perfectly. They returned my call and showed up on-site quickly. The entire project, from start to finish, was seamless. In fact, the tree was down with 2 hours of meeting Carlos.

I now know why they have such excellent feedback Sarah and Carlos the owners are wonderful! Not only was I contacted by Sarah and provided an estimate on the same day I contact them, but Carlos and his crew came out the next day to take down the tree, grind the stump, and hauled away the tree. I've never seen such a clean job. Not one leaf or branch was left on my property or driveway. We had a slight bump with the root on the water line and Carlos took care of the issue imeadiately. Can't say enough about this company other than use them and you'll be very glad you did. Great customer service, excellent work, and fantastic follow up. Thank you Carlos and your crew!

I got two estimates for the removal of the tree. After checking Angies List I decided to get a bid from Complete Tree Service in Lewisville, Texas. I also got an estimate from a pro-active local owner of a tree service who had seen my dead tree and left a card on my door. The results of the estimates wer that Complete tree service of Lewisville was about $100 more than the other bid. Because of the excellent reviews that Complete tree Service had received from Angie's List customers (97%) I decided to go with Complete Tree Service. The truck arriveved on time and it was one of the biggest trucks that I have sen in a long time. In 45 minutes the tree was removed, the trunck was ground down to 8" below the surface, the area was cleaned up and the truck was gone. It was actuall one of the most amazing things that I have seen in awhile. They arrived, the tree was gone in less than 5 minutes. THe stump was grounddown and the locatrion was cleaned. The only visible evidence that a tree was there, was a three foot circle where the tree had been.

I had been notified by the city that I need to trim some trees in both my front and back yard areas to meet code. I called several tree services, two of which I found in Angie's List and one from a friend's recommendation to set up appointments for an estimate. One minor down side - there was a two week delay between my phone call and the first date they could give me for an appointment. We had recently had some serious storms in our area and most of the tree service company's were very busy, so the delay in getting an appointment appeared to be universal no matter whom I called. On the scheduled date, Carlos came to my house and walked around with me while I explained what I wanted done. I told him that I only wanted to do as much as needed for the city requirements at this time, but if he and his crew did a good job, I would bring them back later to do a major clean up on the property (I have quite a few mature oaks and other trees on this property) as well as use their services for a lease property I have. He explained to me what his crew would do and why (such as removing more limbs on the willow that I requested but only to balance the tree and keep it from being easily damaged in another storm) and was very professional. When he was working up the estimate, he asked if my city would remove the debris and I said yes, if it's broken down into small limb sections. He said, if I agreed, that his crew could wood chip the limbs for free instead. The price was very reasonable and we scheduled a date for the work 5 days later. The crew showed up on time and were very efficient. They did exactly what was asked for, cleaned up the area around both trees and wood chipped some existing tree limbs I had left for the city to pick up. When they were done, I went to the crew chief to ask him about payment and he said that I didn't need to pay him - that either Carlos would come by to review the work or I could mail the payment to the office. Overall, I think they did a terrific job and I will definitely be calling them this fall/winter to do an trim/clean up on my properties.

Carlos was punctual in arriving for his scheduled estimate. He surveyed the job and provided a quote via email the same day. I have used Complete Tree Services in the past and they did excellent work though their estimate was higher than others. The estimate for this job also seemed high but Carlos offered an Angie's List discount and another discount for being a repeat customer. His crew arrived on time which says a lot for any contractor. They completed the job with full cleanup in about 4 hours. Two other contractors contacted for this job did not have the level of professionalism that made me feel comfortable hiring them. Another contractor never showed up for an estimate. Though Complete Tree Services tends to be higher than others, I will use them again based on their punctuality and professionalism.

After finding this company on A-list I decided to give them a try. I have to admit, Carlos and his crew did a great job! The company was incredibly professional and responsive throughout the entire process.

We received our estimate on 5/31 and were pleased with the price. Our work was scheduled for 6/1 when 4 workers and two trucks arrived on schedule to begin the work which took 3+ hours. All debris was cleaned and removed with the workers taking extra steps to rack the yard and blow off the sidewalks after completing the work. We were extremely pleased with the professional results!

Called and was given a quote for work to be performed. One of the items I wanted included was a tree completely removed (just to the ground, not grounded out). The price seemed excessively high even with all of Carlos' "discounts." I went ahead with the work except the tree removal because of the rave reviews on Angies List. Work was completed in a timely fashion and done well but feel like I should have received more than one quote for tree trimming (my own fault). For example, Carlos' quote for the tree removal was about $300 ($250 after "discounts".) I thought it was extremely high for it was not a big tree and required little work. My neighbor was getting their trees trimmed one day and I asked how much to have my tree removed. I was quoted $100 from this company and pulled the trigger and went ahead with it. As Carlos' company receives great reviews on this site take it for what its worth and get additional quotes from other companies. My lesson was learned....

From the beginning Carlos and Complete Tree Services was right for us. He speaks with such ease and a knowledge that can only come with time and experience. I explained in great detail that the tree wasn't doing well at all and we were afraid to lose it. (a sad condition left by previous home owners - they killed 3 other trees before selling home) We expressed strong hopes of saving the tree and trying to return it to health. We were falsely told by others the tree should be topped off, but Carlos insisted that was bad as all the life and new growth was in the top of the tree and this "incorrect method" does more harm than good. Carlos could not make promises, but spoke with great confidence that all steps taken would increase the chances of this tree thriving. In total, there were 5 men working on the tree itself. 2 on the ground with pole saws. 1 in the tree suspended by a rope making specific cuts up high. 1 attaching addt'l ropes to large branches to ease their fall once cut so as not to gouge holes in our yard. 1 clearing away debris as is landed. And Carlos - overseeing and guiding them all in a very coordinated effort. The way this team all worked together was incredible to watch. (from a safe distance so to not be in the way) It was like observing a bunch of martial arts tree surgeons in action. As good as some action movies I've seen. All in all I cannot say enough good things about how well I feel Carlos treated our tree, our problem and us. The tree seems to be doing very well and enjoying its new thinner look in all the high winds lately..
