Atlas Woodworks LLC

Jordan Redding, the owner of this company, provided a written estimate to me for kitchen cabinet refacing. Since neither he nor anyone else at his company ever directly answered the phone when I called, I drove to his business office and workshop in Denton, Texas on 8/28/13. There was no one there in the office and no evidence of any woodworking business activity. After sending him an email, he called me and I met with him at his office on 8/30/13. This time he was there and one other person was working in his shop area. I reviewed my project with him and selected a door facing style and wood type. We set a date and time, 8/31/13 at 10 A.M., for him to meet me at my house to make detailed measurements in my kitchen. The next day, he never showed up for the appointment. Later, when I was able to check my emails, he had sent me an email at 1:46 A.M that day. In the email he withdrew his offer to do the cabinet refacing project. He gave no reason. I think the reason was that based on our face-to-face meeting on 8/30/13, he became aware that (1) I expected and required good quality work to be done, (2) I would only give him a 50% down payment [His estimate to me required a 70% down payment even though his estimate form stated that only a 50% deposit was required by his company], and (3) I required that he sign a simple written contract stating exactly what products and services he would be providing for the price he quoted. In my opinion, Atlas Woodworking LLC is a very questionable company to do business with. Mr. Redding told me there are only 3 people working for this woodworking company, including himself. Don't do business with them without first signing a thorough written contract stating what they are required to do, how much they will be paid, when the payments are to be made, and the date by which the project is to be completed.

See above. You guys need to simplify the report to include a category that simply states did you use them or not and why.

They helped in the design of my pieces, built prototypes prior to my order and provided updates throughout my project. A+ from start to finish!

With in 24 hours of contacting Atlas, they met with me in person and gave me a bid. After I accepted their bid, it took them about 2 weeks to build and install my cabinets. After completing the install, they thoroughly cleaned up their work area. Atlas is a great company, who makes a great product.
