Description of Work: Representative came out and inspected the house and noted the areas of my most concern. Gave me a reasonable estimate, described what needed to be done and what the results would be after finishing. They arrived promptly on specified date and finished the pier work same day. Came back week later and filled in holes, did necessary patch work and finished that day. Cracks in brickwork virtually disappeared and foundation stabilized.

+ -1 moreFor both the estimate and the day of the actual work they arrived on time and got to work immediately. They kept me informed on what they were doing as they were leveling the house. Their workers seemed very skilled at foundation repair and after they were done they gave suggestions on areas to improve drainage so as to prevent future settling. They are extremely trustworthy and I would recommend them highly.
Description of Work: They shimmed and leveled the pier and beam foundation all covered under warranty. I used them 2 years ago to add over 20 piers under the house and did a great job then for a very reasonable $3000. After a couple of years of settling it was necessary to adjust and shim up some piers and they even shimmed up some of the piers that were not the ones they added all for no cost.

Description of Work: They put 20 support piers underneath our slab foundation to fix the fact that it had settled too much; in other words they "propped it up." They poured the concrete in about 7 hours, and then came back 8 days later to finish the job.

+ -1 moreThe first time we set an appointment with Alpha, they did not show up. We decided to give them a second chance and are glad we did. Steve Smith arrived promptly and was very confident about the issue and how to resolve it. It helped that he turned out to be almost a neighbor, living just 5 minutes away. The company was also amenable to a couple of special requests I made about payment -- particularly that 50 percent be extended ONLY after all materials for the job arrived at my home. One day before the project, the company called to confirm. Then they arrived within 3 minutes of when they said they would. All the workers were courteous and quiet. We received updates periodically. The project was completed at noon of the second day and clean-up was 90-95% what you would hope for. Steve was on site periodically and did a final inspection walk-around. A very good experience overall.
Description of Work: We needed to have an eroding sill plate underneath the house replaced. We also needed French drains installed along the back of the house and a fan installed underneath the house to prevent future erosion.

We felt they did a good job of explaining the work to be performed, and completed the job without any alterations or surprises. In addition, they never failed to return our phone calls or respond to our inquiries. We would hire them again and would recommend them to friends.
Description of Work: Gave estimate and scheduled date for work that same day. Good, clear explanation of work to be performed and documented in writing. Called to confirm before appearing on site. Arrived on time. Installed 9 single-shafted 12'' piers to level and stabilize 80 yr. o. home. Adjusted interior piers to help level floors. Cleaned up job site and finished work within promised time frame.

+ -1 moreI FEEL THAT THIS COMPANY USED THE WRONG METHOD OF LEVELING OUR HOME. WE STILL HAVE TROUBLE WITH CRACKS, DOORS NOT SHUTTING, ETC. EVEN THOUGH THE COMPANY HAS RETURNED SEVERAL TIMES.
Description of Work: FOUNDATION REPAIR (TO MY HOME). HOLES WERE DRILLED IN THE FRONT PORCH AND ALL AROUND THE HOUSE. PIERS WERE INSTALLED WHICH WERE TO LEVEL THE HOUSE. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WE HAD WITH CRACKS IN OUR WALLS, DOORS THAT WOULD NOT SHUT PROPERLY, ETC.
