After several phone calls and text messages to the owner i was told that it's my fault for not paying attention to the irrigation and plants. I should have gotten everything in writing but i assumed a verbal agreement with him would have been honored. Maybe my experience with the company was rare but i'll never use them again. When you pay a landscaping company to care for your property and with the amount that was paid for the project one would think they would make sure the plants, irrigation, etc would be taken care of as you agreed to with the company.
