great but pricey

The company offers a reasonable price. They attempt to schedule the same employee to service my home. Each quarter, they send a post card to confirm a scheduled treatment date. I choose the company as they offer all natural products.

The employee showed up on time. I am happy with the services as it has taken care of my pest problems. I receive a post card on a monthly basis for a treatment date. In the past, I have had to contact them to treat areas again. Their follow-up is timely. I wish they would send the same person to treat my home as I could build a better rapport with the employee.

Very well. The exterminator was friendly and informative. I took him on a tour of the house and explained where we had what appeared to be termite "blooms". He made a more thorough inspection and saw a couple of spots that I missed. The exterminator explained what the procedure was and that, since ours was not a major outbreak, we did not need a barrier treatment at this point. He treated the areas that the termites were gathering and explained that the major nests were probably outside and that the termites would rub up against the terminix and bring it back to the central colonies. After a few weeks we had a small termite outbreak and I called the inspector. He said that total extermination of the nest(s) would take up to 90 days. Since there were so few termites in the second outbreak the terminix seems to be doing its job. We have seen no other signs of termites.

The gentleman, Branden, who came out initially to inspect, was dressed professionally in a shirt, slacks and tie. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He called before he came out. The technician, Chris, was very personable and thorough. He explained everything and went the extra mile for customer service. I had my new furnace filters sitting by the attic and he offered to change them out while he was treating the attic. They offered a 10% senior discount. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and have not had any more bug problems.

When we were remodeling our house we found active termites in a window sill. ABC came the day I called and gave an estimate for treatment and answered questions. Inspected our home for other signs of termites but none were found. They treated the area where there were termites within three days allowing us to continue our remodeling. We are now on a quarterly maintenance program with them for exterminating other insects and inspection for any other termite activity.

The ABC representative was courteous and called before he came to our house to treat for bugs and fire ants. He worked quickly inside and out, and didn't try to push any non-organic substances on us for treating the house or the yard. We've found that this company is really committed to the customer's satisfaction, especially when it comes to using only environmentally safe chemicals around places where our children tend to play. I'd recommend them to anyone who is interested in maintaining a chemical-free home. We have had a yearly contract with them for 10 years for organic pest control, and we've never had a problem with them showing up when they say they will, calling before they come, and billing on time.

They were prompt and careful not to make a mess. I think they spent enough time.

ABC was pleasant and on time when they did the estimate and set traps. Unfortunately, we had customer service problems after that. ABC's process is to initially set traps, etc., and then re-visit shortly thereafter to check traps. Prior to the visits, they send a postcard with the date of the visit. We received two postcards with visit dates, and no one showed up on those dates. I finally called ABC and asked what was going on, and they said it must be a computer system issue. I asked that someone come out to check the traps, and I asked that they fix the computer problems. Someone did come out, but we continued to get postcards with the wrong dates, so we were never sure when the visits were scheduled. Finally the customer service manager (who was very nice) came out to talk with us. That was nice of him, but the problem didn't get fixed. We just needed correct notice of when the exterminators would be visiting. That did not happen during the course of the infestation treatment.

The initial treatment is done, the follow up treatments are scheduled quarterly. The service people (2 men) were very pleasant, professional, and seemed thorough. They found at least one nest. They worked quickly, quietly, and answered questions knowledgeably. They explained what results are expected and how long it should take to see the results. It's too soon to judge the quality of their work because, as I write this, they have just finished the initial treatment. By the time of the next treatment, I should be able to judge the effectiveness of the treatment. I'll update the report then.

From the salesman to the technician, everyone was knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt. ABC has the longest experience in Texas with Termidor. Compared to other (larger, national) companies', their philosophy does not include excessive or unnecessary treatment. Other companies quoted over $2000 (discounted!) to trench and treat my entire foundation perimeter, although I had no signs of infestation around it. ABC has found that treating at the source of damage and around plumbing is completely effective. ABC didn't hard sell me like other companies attempted to, and gave me peace of mind that my termite problem will be gone.

Andrew and Angel arrived as scheduled, in uniform and with shoe covers on their feet. They did an extensive inspection and treatment, made sure we had no questions, and in general did an extremely professional job. I'm looking forward to doing business with this company.

All workers were courteous, wore protective booties over their shoes when in the house, and called before coming. They were very professional.

DAVE CALLED ME 30 MIN OUT, JUST AS I REQUESTED. I MET HIM AT MY HOUSE AND DESCRIBED WHERE THE INSECTS HAD BEEN FOUND AND I SHOWED HIM A SPECIMEN (I BELIEVED THEM TO BE CARPENTER ANTS BASED ON MY INITIAL RESEARCH). I WAS RELIEVED WHEN HE TOLD ME IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT A CARPENTER ANT (HE IDENTIFIED AS A KIND OF WASP OR MUD DAUBER INSTEAD). HE TOOK THE TIME TO DESCRIBE AND DIAGRAM WHAT A CARPENTER ANT WOULD LOOK LIKE. I'D SEEN SOME ON THE WEB, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW SOME OF THE SUBTLETIES TO LOOK FOR (E.G., ELBOWED NOT CURLED ANTENNAE). A LESSER, UNETHICAL COMPANY WOULD HAVE LED ME TO BELIEVE THE WORST AND SOLD ME A BILL OF GOODS THAT I DIDN'T NEED. I APPRECIATE THE CANDOR & I KNOW WHO I'LL BE CALLING WHEN I REALLY DO HAVE A PROBLEM.

THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE WHO CAME OUT FOR A ESTIMATE, AND TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING WAS ON TIME AND PROFESSIONAL. WE AGREED UPON THE INITIAL TREATMENT AND THEN 3 QUARTERLY FOLLOW UP TREATMENTS. THE TECH. CAME OUT ON TIME AND WAS VERY NICE. OVER ALL I WAS PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE, I WAS JUST ANNOYED THAT HE DID NOT WEAR COVER SLIPPERS OVER HIS SHOES AFTER TREATING OUTSIDE, AND HE WAS KIND OF SLOPPY WITH THE SPRAY POWDER. HE SPRAYED IT OVER EVERYTHING, EVEN FOOD PACKAGES. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING IT IS NOT HARMFUL, BUT THERE WAS A LOT OF CLEAN UP FOR ME TO DO AFTER THE FACT.

I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. THEY ARE A FAMILY OWNED COMPANY, WHICH MEANS A GREAT DEAL TO ME. THEY ARE ALWAYS HERE WHEN THEY SAY THEYLL BE HERE, THE TECHNICIANS ARE ALWAYS NEAT AND CAUTIOUS.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE OF THIS COMPANY. THEY USUALLY GIVE ME AN EARLY ARRIVAL, PLEASANT PEOPLE, USED THEM FOR ABOUT TEN YEARS. THEY HAVE A GUARANTEE THAT IF BUGS COME BACK BETWEEN VISITS THEY WILL COME BACK FOR FREE.

THE FIRST BIG TREATMENT WAS $200, AND THEN I AGREED TO LESS INTENSIVE TREATMENTS EVERY THIRD MONTH FOR $110. THAT IS A LOT LESS EXPENSIVE THAN ANOTHER EXTERMINATOR, WHOM WE ORIGINALLY HIRED, WHO ONLY TREATED FOR NON-TERMITE PESTS FOR $89 EVERY OTHER MONTH. PLUS THEY NEVER DID THE FOGGING OF THE ATTICS. WE HAD QUOTED HAVING THE OTHER COMPANY TREAT FOR TERMITES, AND THEY QUOTED $2800, WHICH THEY EVEN CLAIMED HAD A 20 PERCENT DISCOUNT. ABC TREATS ALL THE INSECTS, BOTH TERMITES AND REGULAR INSECTS FOR CONSIDERABLY LESS MONEY. THE GENTLEMAN WHO DID THE TREATMENT WORKED FOR OVER TWO HOURS, AND HE WAS NOT INTRUSIVE. HE DID A GOOD JOB, AND HE LEFT NO MESS WHATSOEVER.

ABC DID NOT SHOW UP, NOR DID THEY CALL.

THEY COVERED THEIR SHOES WHEN THEY ENTERED MY HOUSE. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL. I THINK THEY ARE REALLY NICE.

OVERALL, WE ARE HAPPY WITH ABC PEST & LAWN SERVICE. WE HAVE NO REASON TO CHANGE PROVIDERS.
