A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair

The gentleman from A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair was very knowledgable and explained to me what needed to be done. The first inspection for the repair recommended adding more supports under my house in an area that was not shifting. This second inspection and the inspection by the supervisor on the day of repair agreed and I ended up ont having to have work done except rhe piers that had slipped. Without the inspection by A-1, I could have easily been talked into paying for 7 or 8 new piers across my living room and along the edge of the house. If I had to have foundation work done that was not under warranty I would definately use A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair. I found them knowledgable, considerate, and honest.

He was extremely knowledgable and had some great advice on how to keep our foundation strong and healthy. He was honest and told us that nothing needed to be fixed as long as we take care of the house. There was no sales pitch, which makes us much more likely to use his company if something ever comes up!

I met with Jeff today, who arrived on time and after a brief description of my concerns got right to work. He measured the perimeter, various heights throughout the house (I had a sleeping baby that he was very courteous to keep his work quiet), and then went under the house to look around. Afterwards, he went over the details and said since it is a pier and beam home, movement is inevitable. He ultimately recommended that no work be done rather than recommending unnecessary repairs. He did mention we had wooden shims, which metal is preferred, but again he said right now its not required. Extremely knowledgable and answered all my questions without hesitation.

Jeff was prompt, thorough, and courteous. He sent me a follow-up email detailing his inspection with tips on how to preserve my foundation. Nice guy.

Provider determined that there was excessive settling on one corner of the house. He made recommendations to add drip irrigation around the perimeter of the house and allow a month or so to see if that would correct the problem. I was impressed that he would suggest a simple fix rather than pushing for us to have the foundation repaired and stabilized.

Mr. Steve Greenhill was brought out for another inspection on our foundation on a home we are trying to sell. We'd been told by a not so reputable company that we needed repair to the tune of 10 piers. Mr Greenhill was professional, through and went though the home looking for things that might suggest repair. At the end of the hour he was honest and said that he didn't see enough damage at this time to warrant any type of repairs. We appreciate his honesty and wish more people would follow suit. It was very informative, the home is under warranty with the builder so we just wanted an outside opinion.

Kevin came by and went through the house getting measurements. He also looked at the outside of the house. He pointed out that my previous engineering report was still valid, but also suggested including some piers under the garage as there was a 2+" difference between the sides. Before he left, he asked me to find out what type of piers the previous owner had installed so that he could determine if they could be adjusted (and thus included in the estimate). Once I got that information for him, he sent me an estimate for the cost of installing a total of 11 piers (the 5 recommended by the previous engineer and some along the side of the garage). Based on the cost estimate and Kevin's professionalism, I have decided to have the work done by A1. The second engineer report (part of the cost of the repairs) shows some possible need for additional piers under the kitchen, but this would be another phase. All in all, a very satisfactory experience and I would DEFINITELY recommend A1. If this changes after the actual repairs, I will update/write a new review.

It seemed to go very well. Windows got very messy but they did clean them afterwards. We were very pleased with everything. Good communicators and always kept us informed about what they were doing.

There were no troubles with scheduling and no additional costs. They arrived on time to the appointment. They completed the inspection in about an hour and didn’t find any problems with the foundation. Everything went fine.

The service was okay. It was nothing spectacular, and I think I could have gotten the same service free. I was looking for a little bit more input, and on the top side, they recommended one thing to water a little bit more on one side of the house, and they offered to come back and check it again for no charge. They were okay. I don't have any good or bad thing to say. I didn't pay anything above the $49. They scheduled the time I asked for, and so that wasn't a problem.

There were no troubles with scheduling. They provided me with an estimate with a detailed plan after they completed the inspection. It was a good experience.

The professional who came out was very thorough and knowledgeable. I was satisfied but wanted a second opinion. Received one from a company that advertised in the Dallas Morning News that I couldn't find on Angie's List. This company's quote was quite higher and he was very negative about other foundation companies. I then felt I should get a 3rd quote. I ended up getting two more quotes from Angie's List Providerswhich were very much in line with the one provided by A-1. I haven't decided which of the 3 Angie's List firms I will use (A-1, Structured Foundation or Williamson) but I am comfortable and impressed with the professionalism, customer service and knowledge of all 3.

The service was excellent. They were prompt to schedule the appointment. I didn't have any foundation damage, but they provided me a written report on the next day with suggestions on how I could keep my foundation in good condition.

We had a crack in what appeared to be the foundation on the outside, so we bought the Big Deal for an inspection of our foundation inside and out. After sending an initial request through Angie's List, I immediately received a response. We emailed and back forth to determine a date, and they were extremely flexible when I needed to change the date. I received a confirmation call the day before the appointment. Kevin came out to do the inspection and was helpful and friendly. He gave me several tips regarding things to look for and ways to prevent any future damage. What I appreciated most was that after he finished with the house measurements and was unable to find any problems, he didn't try to sell me on "preventative measures" as we've had from other companies for other services. He answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns, including the crack (that thankfully was superficial) in the outside foundation. I was extremely pleased with the overall experience and would recommend them to anyone. Because we didn't have any work done, I can't attest to that, but based on our appointment with them, they appear to be very easy to work with.

The inspection went okay. I thought the quote they gave me was a little too pricey for I needed done now and I went with another company. I feel like I may have been able to get the inspection free otherwise as well. One technician came out for the inspection and did an extremely thorough job. They had a good solution to the foundation issue, but it was actually more thorough than what I needed at the time. I was just looking for certain areas of the foundation to be repaired right now. I had no problem scheduling the deal and they were very flexible.

The service went really well. They also gave me a quote for some foundation repair. I thought the quote was reasonable, but I have not been able to go through with the project just yet. One technician came out for the job. He was very friendly and professional. He was happy to explain everything in full detail. The inspection was completed in about an hour and a half. They were very flexible with my schedule.

Steve Greenhill was very prompt, responsive and professional. His inspection vas extremely detailed. Went over each wall inside and out looking for signs of recent movement. He reviewed my old varience sketch, measured each rooms elevation variance, answered all my questions and promptly prvived the paperwork by mail. He was curteous, knowedgable and thorough. Did not need work done. a pleasant and helpful experience. TL
