A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair

The service turned out well. The initial price was $49 and once I accepted the services, they gave me an estimate for the entire project. The guy who came out initially didn't try to sell me anything. He just explained what was going on and what was happening. He took me outside and showed me where to water more to keep the foundation intact. It was pretty nice. The guy who came and verified what the plan was, was also good. Everybody was professional and they did what they said they would do. I got a couple of other estimates too. They were better priced for what they were doing. They came on out that morning and they were through in 4 or 5 hours.

Honest and professional. The technician inspected the house and did not find any problems. He did not try to sell me something I did not need. I was impressed.

Most went well, shrubs and sod was placed somewhat random black soil was replaced with clay.

From the beginning, making the appointment with Mrs. Hansen was a pleasure and they fit me right into their schedule. Having only lived on both coasts, my husband and I were uneducated on Dallas soil and have recently seen some cracks in the walls. So of course my husband ignores the problem and I think that the house is going to split in two. With the holidays approaching, I think it's safe to assume that my husband wants a happy wife and gives his blessings for our foundation to be repaired...because of course they are going to say something is wrong and our house needs to be jacked up (his words). By the time Kevin showed up I had already worked myself up into a frenzy. After walking around the house, taking measurements(inside and out), it seems that we just need a better irrigation system and some landscaping issues taken care of. He sent me all the measurements and we will continue to monitor the foundation next year. Needless to say, excellent service and a very happy customer!

Kevin showed up in his time slot. He is one of the most honest of contractors you will ever meet. I had cracks in my Sheetrock and brick. He told me I did not need repair of my foundation. I just needed to water my foundation with soaker hoses. He drew a map of my house and took measurement of every room accurate to 1/10 of an inch.

I had cracks in my ceiling so he assessed the situation and determined that the problem could be resolved by even watering around my home rather than the expensive foundation repair that I thought I needed immediately.

It went well. They explained what needed to be fixed. I decided to go with another company.

I couldn't be happier with A-1, the inspector was very friendly, clearly explained everything, and was very patient with our 5 dogs, who were very interested in who was invading their territory. I appreciated the fact that they didn't find anything wrong, and then didn't turn around and sell me on any add-ons like some companies do. I would use them in the future if any new problems arise, no doubt about it.

From the beginning, Mariana was wonderful to deal with. She kept me informed of the process, both verbally and through email. Things went pretty much according to what they said initially. Some of our old cracks and issues improved and there were a few new little cracks due to the correcting of the foundation. Some of our mature shrubbery next to the house had to be replaced (never did like those shrubs anyway!); front door needed to be planed down a bit, etc. After the repair, our household doors and frames were corrected and swing and close correctly. Thank you A-1! Overall, we are thrilled with the final product and have already recommended them to some friends.

He told me that there wasn't a problem with my foundation yet, but that he would recommend installing a drip irritation system to avoid any issues later. I would absolutely use and recommend them.

All service from initial estimate to crew that did work was prompt and professional. The price was much more reasonable then 4 other quotes I received. The crew that came to my house were very professional and friendly and kept me informed as to the progress the whole time. Also, though I didn't need it I was told that they would work out a payment plan. Foundation repairs can be very expensive and to find a company that is both reasonably priced and willing to work with customers is refreshing. As for the work, with any foundation repair there is likely to be additional repairs due to raising a house that has settled with the foundation damage. Time will tell how structurally sound the repairs are but the additional repairs needed now are minimal and I feel very comfortable recommending A-1 to those seeking foundation repair.

Jeff was awesome. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He explained the reasons for my foundation movements, mitigation steps and even provided a report. Would definitely use A1 again.

Steve came on time and got right to work. He explained clearly what he was going to do and tests he was going to do in order to check the foundation of the house. It took around 2 hours to complete the work and sent a report of his findings. He also explained the differences in the ground level and where we might have to keep en eye on. We will definitely use A1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair again in future. He also told us that if the foundation work has been done by another company before they will void their warranty if some other company fixes the foundation issues. We were not aware of this and are very thankful for Steve and his team.

Decided I couldn't afford the work.

I would highly recommend this provider. This was not a small job, and involved substantial digging, drilling, and engineering. Everyone involved did an excellent job, including the 2 inspectors. All permits were taken care of and buried phone and other lines were marked. The crew arrived punctually with probably 15 workers and immediately set to work. The yard was an absolute mess before they were done, but upon completion it looked better than before they started. The supervisor was very knowledgeable and professional, and went over the entire job with me. There were several doors that we hadn't been able to close for some time, but now everything works perfectly. In my opinion, they did more than expected. What a great company to deal with!

Kevin came to my house on time and did a complete foundation elevation inspection. He noticed normal settling of the house and suggested watering program to maintain the foundation. Extremely pleased with his work and will definitely use them again.

Kevin did a full exterior and interior inspection plus measured the height differentials of the slab. One corner has sunk a bit due to the drought conditions affecting a large tree. He provided watering recommendations and said he would come back in the spring after we've gone through the rainy season to see if the area has rebounded. He was very responsive, timely, and knowledgeable of local Lewisville conditions. He provided a hand drawn map showing the measurements for comparison later. Best of all, I have peace of mind that my renovation can proceed as planned.

I haven't had the repair work done yet but the tech was here on time, gave me a good explanation of what needed to be done, I received help from their office people in setting an appointment with a separate engineering firm who backed up A-1's thoughts on how to repair my foundation.

I would highly recommend this service and angies list deal. I had 36 piers installed already and was still having movement. So, I didn't need to use them for pier work but I wanted another professional opinion on what my options were and what I should address first.

Kevin actually came by on Sunday, the 22nd, to do the foundation inspection. I had had a different company install some steel piers on the west side of my house about 11-12 years earlier, but I had started noticing the tell-tale signs of new problems on the east and south sides. I wanted to have a different provider verify the current status of the foundation before getting in touch with the original company. Kevin was very professional and thorough. He was also very personable and gave me the detailed info that I needed by email the following day.
