A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair

Description of Work: Purchased deal from Angie's List. Promptly scheduled at a convenient time. Did a thorough inspection and measurement of foundation. No issues found, but gentleman said it is very good to have the measurements documented in case of future problems. Also reviewed irrigation and made some small recommendations. Would definitely use them again should any problems arise.

Description of Work: Kevin stopped by - examined the exterior of our home, took measurements inside to help us establish a baseline in potential problem areas and went over a watering plan to reduce future movement of the foundation. He was very helpful - offering suggestions and additional advice based on his experience in the industry. Will be scheduling with them again in the next few months to come out, remeasure and compare to our initial measurements.

Description of Work: This company performed a foundation analysis for me and explained very well how to take care of Texas foundations with water. They confirmed that my sprinkler system would keep the foundation healthy. The rep was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I received a full set of foundation measurement drawings promptly after the appointment.

Description of Work: They arrived on time, in the rain, and fully inspected our foundation. Upon completion they came inside, made sure to leave their wet shoes outside, and began taking their measurements. After that they spoke to us about their findings, and answered all of our questions. We fully expect to use them again in the future, when we need our foundation looked at.

Description of Work: I had A-1 come in to do a foundation inspection. I wanted to get a second opinion on some recent cracks that had shown up in my house. I really appreciated the work that they did. They confirmed some of the things the other provider told me, but also found some new things that I will be following up on. Additionally, they had someone come out to check for a plumbing leak for free! I will definitely use A-1 again!

They found that we do not need foundation repair at this time but do need to water more effectively. I got a written report and a watering plan. I would recommend these folks to any of my family or friends.

Description of Work: A-1 Guaranteed Foundation Repair performed a detailed foundation inspection, both inside and outside of my home and provided me with a drawing showing the foundation measurements taken of my home and watering plan to prevent foundation issues. | |I was very impressed with A-1's professionalism. They found our foundation to be within normal measurement guidelines. There was no sales pitch for any foundation repair services. They did recommend that we either install drip lines or soaker hoses around our foundation so we can maintain the moisture level. I would definitely recommend A-1 and will use them again if we start having signs of foundation shifting.

Description of Work: Foundation inspection. The appointment was scheduled immediately, and they arrived at or near scheduled time. The inspection seems thorough, with measurements taken outside and throughout the interior. He noted the backyard trees could be pulling needed water/moisture from the soil. I have 3 large trees, for a somewhat small to mid-size backyard area. Soaker hoses were also recommended, but there are existing soaker hoses. A watering plan was recommended, and also removal of trees in the backyard. I immediately consulted with tree service, which adamantly refuted the trees as the primary source of foundation issues. However, I decided to remove (1) of (3) trees, and immediately implemented the watering plan. | |A re-inspection will be scheduled in 2 months, to evaluate foundation stability or improvement. Overall, I am pleased with the $49 price and initial measurement report provided.

Description of Work: Went into crawl space, told me all was well, but it could be tidied up for minimal cost. I asked for quote and was told over $3,000. I told them that didn't seem minimal cost for just tidying up so they didn't do the work.

Description of Work: Bought a Big Deal for foundation inspection...after having two wildly diverse assessments, both in terms of what was wrong and in what needed doing about it (for $$$), was pleased to get a write-up that indicated no serious problem, with irrigation recommendations to keep it that way! Very good value for money.
