Everyone was very professional from Kevin who came out and discussed the process to Mariana in the office to the all of the guys that came out and put in the piers. They were efficient and courteous. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs foundation work. I hope we don't have to do business with them again but if we do have foundation problems in the future I will definitely be calling them!

The technician (Kevin) arrived punctually and provided clear communication regarding his foundation examination methods and what to expect before during and after the process. Along the way, he took time to answer the many questions I had, since one portion of our foundation had seemed to have settled. Even the most elementary questions I posed were answered thoroughly and in a professional and competent manner. The entire examination and measuring process took a couple of hours. After that, Kevin gave me a general assessment of his findings and reported that the settling was within standard industry norms and tolerances. He also mentioned that more information would be sent to me that evening after he had finalized his report and cleaned up the drawing he made while on site. I received the report that evening as promised and also found additional information regarding preventative measures I could take, repairs that I could perform myself and a watering plan for my foundation. All in all, it was a straightforward and hassle-free process. If I ever need foundation repairs form a professional, I would certainly consider A-1 to bid this work on the basis of my positive experience with the foundation exam.

This was a big deal purchase. They did a good enough job on the foundation, but they never really lived up to what they said they would do on the dirt they pulled out. They had a lot of excess dirt. Actually they had said they were going to remove it all, but instead they put it around two trees in my front yard which was going to kill those trees. I called them and asked that they remove it. They came and only took it away from one of the trees. I called again and they never showed up. I called three more times and they still never showed up. I had to remove all that myself which took several weeks to do by myself. So, I wasn't happy. Leaving the dirt was not a good service. My advice to others is to not pay them until they are 100-percent done with everything you ask them to do.

He explained how I should water the foundation as a precaution, which was some good advice for the Texas summers for sure. Considering I didn't have a big issue, I found him to be very polite and not a sales person trying to get more money from an unsuspecting homeowner. if I ever do have issues in the future, I will be sure to call him.

The result is we don't need foundation. We have subsequently contacted a structural engineering firm to evaluate and provide a drainage plan for our property. We were very relieved that we didn't need any foundation work at this time and feel lucky to have had Steve answer our call.

The repair went very well. I was very impressed with the work the crew did. The foreman kept me up to speed the entire time with their progress and thoroughly explained issues they encountered during the work. Clean up was great, and they went through and adjusted doors a couple times after the work to make sure they were still working properly. Went great!!! I thought we needed piers, but they said we were all good.

This was a useful service, and I'm glad that we had it done. We have noticed shifting over the horrible weather we had last year, and we were given a complete, thorough estimate for us. We didn't complete the work, but we have a good idea what we will need at some future time.

This was a very pleasant experience, and I feel much better knowing where I stand with the foundation. The gentlemen that come out to perform the inspection was extremely friendly and very professional. He helped educate me on how to best water my foundation so that I do not have issues in the near future. He did notice small spots in the house that could be related to settling, and to help better understand that he also suggested I do a few things on my own so that I can be fully aware of what is happening. Overall it was a great experience, and if I do need foundation work in the future this company is the first place I am calling for an estimate.

Very polite and prompt service. Received detailed report following assessment. Priced a little higher and recommended more work than others have. However, I have not had an engineer out to assess, so I am not certain of how much repair is truly warranted. Would use again.

If I remember correctly, it was a good price for what they were doing but it was all a matter of time to get some other service from that which I guess is the intent of most companies anyway. They were probably on time.

they did great. My shrubs died--they didn't bury them well again--but I didn't watch them close enough. The redid the concrete they dug up--and grass was fine. They made a mess with the dirt. Based on what other people pay, it was a wonderful work, etc. with alittle bit of mess to clean up. It was mild.

The inspector did a very thorough job inspecting the foundation outdoors and inside the house. He asked questions and in the end said I do not need any foundation work at this time. I just need to do some extra watering. I was very pleased and now I have more peace of mind. It was definitely worth it.

It went really well. They arrived about 8:00 am and left about 3:30. They had to dig large holes around our house and one inside our garage. Then they put supports in the ground to make the house lift. I was especially impressed at the way they took before and after pictures. The difference was amazing. they removed all the shrubs that were in the way and was rewarded by not having to return them, because I wanted to re do my plants anyway. They cleaned up everything, took the shrubs to the front for pick up, took all of the excess dirt and filled in holes around my house.

Although foundation repair is not something that I looked forward to, A1 made the experience bearable. From the initial survey to the repairs and inspections afterwards, A1 and their partners showed the upmost professionalism and attention to detail. I want to call special attention to Steve for his work during the initial survey, and to Mario and his crew who performed the repairs. I purchased the deal off of Angie's List for a foundation inspection. Professional, timely scheduling and inspection. Steve called me beforehand to find out about any potential issues or concerns, then emailed me the full report on the same day that he came out. Since I was not there when he did the inspection, I called him and he explained everything to me. I appreciated being able to reach him so easily without any phone tag, as well as the clear explanations he provided. We do have foundation problems so he explained next steps and referred me to a structural engineer to do a formal inspection and analysis. He did not pressure me in any way and in fact advised me to take the structural engineer's analysis and use that as the basis to obtain bids from other companies as well.
