Paul always provides excellent service and makes my yard look very nice!

He came out before July 4th, so I didn't expect a bid until afterwards. He called and said he would he had personnel issues and would get it to me soon. I waited a week then called and left a message. He called back a few days later saying he had a family emergency. I have not responded since then, and to-date I do not have a quote (Aug. 7th).

They did come when originally scheduled. Then the rains came and we had to wait a few weeks to get them to come back. They did show up when finally scheduled and did the work in a timely fashion. Paul was very courteous and knowledgeable.

They are responsive. I just had them trim something and they do a good job. They are on time and I do not normally have to ever say anything to them. They know what to do.

FANTASTIC !!! Excellent job by Oscar and his crew. They arrived on time and quickly whipped my unruly yard into shape, I had put in new St. Augustine sod in the spring and with fertilizer and plenty of watering it quickly grew to 10+ inches with other areas covered in tiny oak leaves. Within 40 minutes the yard was mowed, trimmed, leaves raked, and all of the clippings & leaves were gone. This is not a small yard, but a medium / large one. To see it perfectly manicured made me and my neighbors jump for joy! I will be recommending Paul's Lawn & Landscape to everyone I meet.

It was a NIGHTMARE!!!! I had to call, and call, and CALL their office to find out when any of the work was going to be done. I had trees sitting in pots threatening to DIE if I didn't' get them in the ground! Of course we were having frequent rains all during this time. I am not an idiot! I DO understand rain delays. But there were a few days here and there where work could be done, and NOTHING was being done. I also signed up for lawn mowing when I accepted the landscaping bid. I had to make a schedule change on the mowing week before they ever came out the first time. That screwed up all subsequent weeks. They NEVER got the schedule right once!!! So, after a month of waiting I called up the office AGAIN and blew up! Then I heard all the office drama going on... new person scheduling...she won't train with me (prior scheduler)...wasn't in the office because of some kind of knitting needle mishap (???????), out sick, etc., etc., etc.. REALLY?! Your issues are not my job. I want my trees planted and the other stuff done. OK, so after I blew up guys (3 or 4 non-English-speaking) started showing up around 6 or 6:30PM to do work. Never called ahead. Did not know what they were supposed to do or where anything had to be done (no boss-just uninformed workers). This happened 4 times during dinner. 3 times they were here for about 15 minutes. One time they were here about 2 hours. Then Paul's sent me an invoice for the work. IT WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. Over-billed by about $1400.00. And the work wasn't even finished yet. So, I sent an email asking them if they were insane. Got a phone call saying, "sorry, I'll correct it" and filling me in on all the latest office screw-ups. VERY LONG STORY SHORT... They finished my job after about 6 weeks. The total amount of time they had into it was a half of one day. Yesterday I went out AND FIXED THE COMPLETE SCREWED UP JOB THEY DID ON THE SPRINKLER HEADS. In summary, unless you spend a lot of money on them you will get no respect, your job will be done when they get **** good and ready to do it, and it probably won't be done correctly! Don't say you haven't been warned!

Very professional company. Prompt service and response. Made additional recommendations that I had not thought about that greatly enhanced the project. Very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend them.

They did an amazing job. There were a few things we wanted fixed and they were more than happy to fix them. I am very impressed with Paul and his professionalism! He does what he says he will do and is truly trying to make you a happy customer. Thanks Paul and to your amazing crew!

We were in a time crunch and Paul and crew were VERY attentive to our time demands and completed the job, very satisfactorily I might add, on time and in budget. We use the outdoor kitchen nearly every evening from April-Oct!! Love the outdoor kitchen area!!!

Paul's bid $1000 for an outdoor firepit. Another masonry crew completed the project for $450. That's 45% of the incredible price quoted by Paul's.

I did not go with Paul's company. Paul was a nice guy, seemed to listen at the initial meeting. About 3 weeks later I get a quote from him (big project). It was a single piece of paper with basically a few items on the quote. Example: Build 7 retaining walls. Very little detail. So I started to ask questions, and every question I ask was met with that is not included and would be more money. I had specifically told him that the Fireplace and Brick Oven were the main attractions in the yard when we met. Unfortunately, he did not listen and forgot to include that. That is when I decided that this was either deliberate or he is not at all detail oriented. Either way not a good recipe for a contractor. In the end went with another company who provided very detailed quotes and design information so there was no misunderstandings.

Chose to get it done through someone else

The CAD work was done by Rebecca (Becky) Faske - owner / designer of Wild Eden Landscape Designs - who works closely with Paul's Lawn and Landscape LLC. She was very responsive and affordable. Reviewed property for free. Two installments of $300 to be able to own the landscaping CAD drawings. Very flexible. She has a great eye for layout and understands what native Texas plants work well in what types of soil, grade, shade, etc. Once the CAD drawings were finalized, I authorized her to send the plans to Paul so that he could then generate a final quote for the work. Paul was willing to work with the third party irrigation company (EcoIrrigation) that I had already retained about 6 months earlier whom I had paid half down to. Very pleased with the overall work. It took us about 8 years to find the right company. Becky and Paul were the right fit. Below is a link to where all the pics of the work are posted. Took a while to get it scheduled, but once they were there; the work was quick and very professional. Hedge was trimmed to the requirement and all clean-up was done before they left. Only issue was the "senior discount" I saw on the original advertisement on Angie's list. I was told it had been discontinued by the accounting lady when I questioned the cost.

It is hard to give Paul's a single because they performed two different kinds of jobs, hardscape and plantings. We found that Paul's landscaping was excellent for the hardscape - but the workers lacked skills in plants.

At a time when Austin is literally growing faster than contractors are being born, my husband and I have been in a perpetual state of disappointment with people touting services they don't deliver on so working with Paul and his crew was a wonderful surprise. They were fast, efficient, professional and provided a tremendous value for a super high quality job. Not only was the crew onsite polite and thorough, they also did a very thorough job cleaning up after each stage and made sure everything was just right for us before they left. From the initial consultation with Paul to the end of the project, they were perfect. We can't say enough good things about Paul and his team. We hired them for this landscaping project but upon discovering they also do lawn service, we have since switched over to him for that as well. We will come back to them for future projects and will definitely recommend Paul's Lawn and Landscaping to everyone!

Paul came out to give me a quote promptly. It took over a week to get the quote (which he did warn me about). I asked him to do the work. I never heard back from him. I called or emailed twice to try to get the project moving forward to no avail. It was very disappointing to see the total lack of interest in my business or maintaining a professional approach. I am a fellow contractor, and I do not like leaving negative reviews. Maybe this will serve as a wake up call. Paul and his office person did not give me much of a choice. They never even got back with me since our last discussion. Period. No interest in doing the work, I guess. No apologies for wasting my time. I have another contractor doing the work for me, now, but much of the work needed to be done sooner. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Not well. I hired Paul's to plant 68 plants. I had a professional landscape designer create a drawing and label all of the plants before Paul's people (only 1 showed up). I even sent Paul's a copy of the drawing a week before they started so they could familiarize themselves with the layout and plants. One person showed up the first day and spent 4 hours at $85 per hour trying to figure out the plant types and where they went (that was Friday). On Saturday morning I placed most of the plants myself because I didn't want to pay another $85 per hour watching this person wander around for hours again. The employee started at around 1:00pm on Saturday and started putting in the plants. Again at $85 per hour (1 person) to put in plants. He eventually did a good job with installing and mulching but it cost me 12 hours plus mulch and a little soil. I could have done the job in half the time by myself. What was really frustrating is when I talked with the person in the office (at Paul's) I asked when the "crew" was showing up and was never told I would be paying $85 per hour for 1 person. I am in the wrong profession if I could make $85 per putting plants in I would start tomorrow!

Our backyard has never looked so good and been so enjoyable for our family. The work performed exceeded our expectations and addressed huge drainage issues we were having. I found the service to be affordable and Paul's suggestions were just what our yard needed. Will be my go-to landscaper from now on and for my own clients.

Estimate. I thought the price was high.

Paul came out to give us a quote on re-landscaping our backyard. He was very knowledgeable about what we wanted to do and would have been a great choice for us. Some of the work we wanted to have done wasn't in his toolbox of core competencies (tree maintenance), so we decided to go with a provider that could do the full package for us. If it was just our lawn that needed re-done, we would have hired Paul. To be fair, he would have recommended an arborist he knows to take care of our tree trimming; but we wanted to have all things done by one company. Also, if I remember correctly, the lead time to get the work done was a bit longer than we were hoping for. On the other hand, as a business owner, it's good to have that much business!
