Leak #1 - on back of house, had 3 previous roofers out, all said leak was from chimney, either the chimney had the hardiplank siding installed wrong or the boards on the upper exterior of the chimney were rotted. All 3 of these roofers did repairs and the roof still leaked. Jason found the leak right away, it was by a dormer window. No more leak and it has been at least 5 years now. Jason also painted the chimney from being repaired earlier. Ceiling in living room from this leak, it was so bad I had to put a bucket under the leak (like in the old cartoons or like on the 3 stooges) to catch the water. The ceiling had brown water rings on it, and the sheetrock was mushy. One contractor told me it would have to be cut out, sheet rocked, textured and painted. Jason said the sheetrock was still good and with the leak fixed we wouldn't have to replace the sheetrock. Painted it with Kilz, next day painted it. After all these years, still can't tell there was even a leak or stain there. Leak #2 - on covered porch. I didn't think this was a bad leak at first. Jason being trained in roofing found the framing of this part of the roof had not been done correctly. Once he got to pulling back the shingles, it was revealed that the boards had rotted due to the bad construction, where there should have been braces there wasn't. It was really a bigger mess than the #1 leak. Jason reworked the roof and no more leak. This was done the same time as the one above. We had taken our cupola down from the gazebo to restain it, Jason put it back up. I also had him trim a board on the 2nd story that was left too long when the house was built, it was not an easy place to get to. The second time we used Jason, our weathervane had come unsoldered. Jason took it home and repaired it then reinstalled it. Jason is very honest, reliable, conscience about his surroundings & his work, friendly, even chased our dog down when she got out of the yard. I would definitely hire Jason again. He is one of the good ones. Approximate cost of service is from the 2nd time we had Jason out.
Description of Work: First time repaired 2 leaks in roof, repaired ceiling in living room damaged from leaks, installed cupola & weathervane on gazebo. Second time repaired weathervane where solder joint had broken loose & reinstalled.
