MD Brown Pool Designs & Backyard Amenities

We had a friend get a pool installed and designed by him. We saw the work he did and the timeframe it was done in. We had 4 estimates of price and timelines for completion. His worked out the best and the price was in our budget. Less than 4 months from meeting him we we’re swimming in our pool. We had questions along the way. Mike always responded in a reasonable time frame. He was good with communicating to me as to what the next step was and when and who would would be coming. He worked with me when I wanted to add more patio concrete and electrical outlets to the project. Overall this was a wonderful experience for my family on such a huge financial project and a large decision if installing a pool. The project was completed in the agreed upon timeframe.

Mike is heaven sent when it comes to contractors! We have been trying to build a pool for two years having signed with two other companies and they kept pushing us back for our dig date and then increasing our already signed contract due to their lack for not starting the project. Mike came along and saved us from all our headaches. We gave him a rough sketch of what we wanted and he came back with exactly what we wanted with an amazing price point. We put our deposit down and he was digging our pool a few days later!! Mike and his team are truly the best skilled team I have seen. His masonry team did our rock and tile and were very meticulous and precious on every cut. It's like art work it so pretty! Mike's communication is great, and he is ALWAYS onsite checking on progress, texting us or there himself working on the bobcat. Another thing I really appriciate is he's always looking at how we can SAVE money and not spend more or trying to upcharge. I have referred several people to Mike who have also chosen him as their builder. If you want a personal experience and not feel like a number call Mike Brown, you will not regret it! He helped us build our backyard dreams and we could not be happier!

Mike is amazing. He designed and built exactly what we asked for. I gave him a hand sketched design and he brought it to life. He was there every step of the way. I loved that he designed it and stayed with the project to completion. I have recommended him to everyone I know and several friends have built with him as well and love the results. Highly recommend. He went above and beyond!

He ended up flaking out on us after we paid him one of the last (largest) payments according to contract. He disappeared with the money and will not answer email, phone calls or texts which was how he communicated previously. We have had his sub contractors threatening to put a lien on our house due to his non-payment to them. We had to pay additional money to fix mistakes that were made and would not pass code. He ordered and we paid extra for special plaster that we found out he did not order enough and nobody in town wanted to plaster our pool with that type of plaster so we had to send it back and got charged a restocking fee plus they only gave us 1/4 of what it was worth (what we paid for it) and then we had to hire someone else to plaster and we paid for new plaster. We had to hire out sub contractors to finish the pool and pay additional $18,000 that would have been covered in the original contract. We still do not have the water feature finished and the decking has been done very poorly. Mike Brown's daughter (Information Removed) did his accounting and supposedly took the money. She then tried to go to the wholesale pool company in town and get credit for the plaster we had in our garage that we paid for. We had just a bad experience and this put us in a financial bind due to all the extra costs. I would not trust this company or anyone else related to this company to do work for them.

It went great. Mike was constantly in communication with me. He collaborated with me during the process with recommendations and changes he thought would look good given our topography. He is a design artist, and his ideas really translate well into the finished product.
